Welcome to this beautifully renovated, sun-filled retreat set in a peaceful residential area close to everything Strömstad has to offer. Surrounded by sea views on one side and tranquil pine forest on the other, the home delivers the perfect balance of nature, comfort, and coastal living. Generous terrace areas in both sun and shade provide wonderful spots for long breakfasts, relaxed afternoons, and evening meals with views over the water, while birdsong and forest trails begin just behind the house. The cottage is built into a slope as an underground-style home, creating privacy and natural insulation, with expansive terraces on both the lower and upper levels. Upon entry, a welcoming hall leads to all four bedrooms - three with double beds and one with a single bed - along with a modern bathroom featuring underfloor heating, shower, and washing machine. Upstairs, an open kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, microwave, and fridge/freezer, flowing into a spacious living area with generous seating, TV, and dining space. From here, step directly onto the large terrace, ideal for barbecues, seafood dinners, and planning tomorrow’s adventures. Within walking distance you’ll find several excellent swimming spots for saltwater dips and crab fishing. Strömstad Golf Club and Strömstad Spa are close by, and the scenic Nötholmen Nature Reserve offers beautiful trails, beaches, and sunset viewpoints. A short cable ferry ride across Bojarkilen brings you into central Strömstad, where you’ll enjoy charming shops, restaurants, and a lively harbor. From the harbor, explore the archipelago with boat tours to Koster Islands, Furholmen, and even Norway.

The overall condition is okay, with room for improvement. The condition of the terrace at the front was really bothersome. (broken boards, protruding nails, peeling paint) and a few more comfortable seating options for inside and outside would have been nice. Otherwise, it fits. Functionally, it describes it best. One should not expect luxury. In some places, one simply has the impression that the house is just not finished yet, but one can overlook that with a bit of goodwill. As mentioned, the location and the view allowed us to overlook many things. Recommendations: The bathing beach is not far. Running, hiking, and strolling in all directions let you see a lot of beautiful things!

This holiday home is a gem! The space was perfect for our family, and we loved that it was close to both the beach and the forest trails. We had a great time grilling on the terrace with a wonderful sea view!
