Distances: The beaches in the south of the island is only 15 minutes by car. The South Airport is 30 km away, the airport rd north. 100 km. The view speaks for itself!!!
The house offers a fantastic view, but compromises have to be made due to its location. The access road is 7 km long with hairpin bends, some with 40! ! ! turns. Being located in the mountains, the weather was always worse than down at the beach. While it was sunny below, we were in the clouds with a temperature difference of 4 to 6 degrees. However, we also had extremely bad luck with the weather. There are no supermarkets or restaurants within walking distance. A rental car is absolutely necessary. The house is very quiet, except for the barking dogs in the neighborhood.
We cannot confirm the so-called "fly plague." It is true that there were many flies on the yellow house wall in the mornings. We then moved the table and chairs to the spacious terrace and had a much nicer view of the Atlantic and La Gomera during breakfast and dinner, with no more or fewer flies than at home. Even in the dining room and in the bathrooms, we did not have hundreds of flies!!!! The cushions for the loungers, initially stored in the dining room, can also be placed in the entrance area after the first use and the space can be made cozier with flowers and candles. Another note about the pool: you can see from the pictures that it is not suitable for long-distance swimming. However, it is completely fine for cooling off. We did not find it unattractive in any way. An absolute dream is the hot tub on the terrace.

Great view but older house with drawbacks.
We are 3-4 adults and travel to holiday homes in Europe 5-6 times a year. Here is our review for Casa del Campo, Tenerife.
PRO:
-The location 880m above Adeje offers a wonderful 180-degree panoramic view of the coast, the sea, and especially La Gomera. Peace, secluded location.
-Many seating areas all around, the whirlpool, pool table, modern kitchen, and bathrooms with storage space.
CON:
-The pool is smaller than stated and no longer particularly attractive. -The dining room is a mixture of storage room for the numerous lounge cushions, brooms, vacuum cleaner, and the table with very old chairs including plastic seats. The room is very bare and unattractive, the lighting is cold.
-Very unattractive and dirty were the windows, curtains, cushions of the loungers.
Major downside: The fly infestation! We have never experienced it so badly elsewhere. Eating outside was hardly possible! This was a considerable reduction of our stay outside as well as inside. One also needs to open the bathroom window..... and immediately had a fly invasion in the house... hundreds!
Our conclusion: Everyone has different desires and requirements for their holiday home. Ours are 1. Quiet isolated location with unobstructed, spacious sea views, modern bathrooms, an extensive garden area, a covered seating area, and a modern, well-equipped kitchen. All of this was provided here! However, since one could not sit outside to eat (flies), the fly infestation, the small dining room was very uncomfortable, and the pool did not really invite you to swim, this house would not be an option for us again. Wishing all future guests a nice holiday.

Perfect vacation!
