From the large covered terrace you have a beautiful view of the sea and the mountains. Here you can enjoy a romantic sunrise for breakfast. In addition, the garden with pool (8x4m) and pool bar, which cannot be seen, offers you absolute privacy.
The property is very quietly situated in an exclusive villa settlement without direct neighbours. In addition to a lemon, orange and olive tree, there are beautifully flowering and fragrant plants from the region in the garden. Here you can switch off at lunchtime and recharge your batteries or enjoy the evening sun. In addition, a tennis court and 2 community swimming pools are available to guests free of charge.

The "Aldea de las Cuevas" consists of high-quality villas built in a typical Spanish style on large plots surrounded by lots of greenery. Our Villa Higuera is located here almost at the end of the settlement on a spacious plot with only one adjoining neighbour. From here you have a wonderful view over the orchards, the mountains and the sea, live in the middle of nature and are only a few minutes by car from the beach, the attractions in the Marina Alta and the night and cultural life of Denia or Valencia (third largest city in Spain).
Due to its geographical location, Denia and the Marina Alta have, in addition to the sea and its beaches and bays, many cultural and leisure opportunities in the neighbouring mountains and in the cities of Javea and Valencia. Despite our many visits, we ourselves are always surprised at what new things there are to discover and are already looking forward to our next holiday on the Costa Blanca. Clean sea, pure sun!
With a coastline of more than 20 kilometres, Denia is a paradise for lovers of the sea. In the north, unspoilt, long sandy beaches, which gently merge into the water, invite the whole family to linger.
In the south, however, you will find rocky bays that are very suitable for diving, climbing and boat trips.
So if you would like to enjoy the benefits of the sea on the Costa Blance in the summer season, you will find the right beach or bathing bay around Denia.
All the beaches in Dénia have been awarded international certificates for quality and environmental management. Year after year, most of Dénia's beaches receive the Blue Flag, Europe's symbol for a clean beach and sea.

The climate is extremely pleasant throughout the year, with very clean air, dry and constant with calm and mild winters (temperature between 16 - 21°C). The average annual temperature is 20°C and the fresh sea breeze makes the summer warm but never too hot (around 30°C). According to the "World Health Organisation" (WHO), Denia with its surroundings Marina Alta belongs to one of the three best climatic regions worldwide.

The sun shines on 320 days and about 2500 hours of sunshine per year, so that nine months of the year are summer and three months are spring. Accordingly, between October and May, the mountains and valleys are inviting for extensive hiking, climbing and biking.
For this reason, this climatic territory with privileged conditions is recommended by doctors as the healthiest region in the world. Also because of these special circumstances, Marina Alta is particularly appreciated by people with respiratory as well as rheumatic problems.
Hiking and mountaineering
The hinterland of Denia is a paradise for hikers and climbers. One of the best areas for this is the Marina Alta. Various mountain ranges and gorges run through this area. The highest of them reach up to 1500 m. Here you will find well-signposted hiking trails in the varied mountain landscape, where you can explore the numerous remnants of the Moorish past and really enjoy the friendliness of the local people.
Particularly impressive is the time of the almond blossom from January to March, as well as the awakening of nature with the countless mountain flowers and the colouring of the leaves in autumn.
We have always returned from our walks delighted by the beautiful flowers and the fruits of the Marina Alta (orchids, rosemary, wild tulips, almonds, olives, oranges, figs, cherries and grapes), and the encounters with birds, wild boars, foxes, bulls or somewhat less wild: praying mantises, snakes, sheep, goats and donkeys.
Insider tip for racing cyclists and mountain bikers
In the Marina Alta region, racing cyclists and mountain bikers find an ideal touring and training area. The best time for pleasant biking holidays are the months of October, November and March to June, whereby the professional teams already start their training camps at the beginning of December and can be found everywhere, because pleasant 15 - 20° C already allow extensive tours in January on the ramified network of small, almost car-free roads, which run through the hilly, partly mountainous hinterland. Around 1,000 metres of altitude difference are accumulated over 100 km. But it is rarely steep. Moderate climbs and long downhill stretches offer variety and fantastic views over the coast and surrounding mountains. The highest elevation in the region is the 1,558 m high Aitana. For mountain bikers, too, there are many well-maintained trails and mountain paths that lead through vineyards, olive groves and, above all, orange plantations and provide variety.
Sailing, golf and equestrian sports at top international level
The beaches of Denia offer a wealth of water and sailing sports, as well as the excellent golf and equestrian facilities of Oliva Nova.
