The old stone house was built in 1942, completely renovated in 2023, and since then, numerous guests have been welcomed every summer with great joy.
The house (living and dining area with two bedrooms and two bathrooms) with pool is available for your exclusive use. It is located in the small village of Rakalj, only 2 km from the nearest beach Kalavojna or 2.3 km from the beach St. Mikula, 300 m to a grocery store, restaurants 300-500 m, 25 km from the city of Pula or 20 km from Pula airport. The entire holiday home "Smokvica" **** is fully air-conditioned (living room/kitchen and both bedrooms) and offers you a uniquely decorated and furnished living and dining area with a table for 6 people. A fully equipped kitchen with all amenities (refrigerator, oven, filter coffee machine or Italian moka pot, kettle, microwave, dishwasher) that you need for your cooking skills, with access to the outdoor dining area. From the entire living and dining area you have a beautiful view of the garden with pool. In the living and dining area, a ceiling fan is also available for your use.
The living room is cozily furnished with a 3-seater and a 2-seater sofa and a cable/satellite/internet TV (flat screen). The first bedroom is equipped with a double bed 180x200cm, sofa (suitable as a sofa bed 140x200cm), wardrobe, cable/satellite/internet TV (flat screen), air conditioning, and its own bathroom with shower/WC. The second bedroom has a double bed of 160x200cm, wardrobe, cable/satellite/internet TV (flat screen), air conditioning, as well as its own bathroom with shower/WC. From both the living and dining areas you have direct access to the terrace with pool and an especially large garden with lots of greenery.
Additionally, a washing machine, safe, first aid emergency kit, mosquito net on the bedroom windows, internet, and grill are available to you.
On the terrace there is a pavilion with a grill and sink, as well as a very large dining table for six people. Furthermore, a large oval pool with outdoor shower, six sun loungers, and two sun umbrellas is available to you. The pool measures 8.40x4.0x1.4m and has the special feature that it is not cleaned of bacteria and viruses with chlorine, but with a special mechanism using saltwater and a UV lamp (chemical-free water disinfection). For this reason, the pool water is especially suitable for children and allergy sufferers. The large, beautiful garden will be balm for your eyes and soul, just the right thing for your relaxation. Numerous trees and herb beds, such as figs, olives, cherries, sage, basil, rosemary, thyme, are present in the garden. We gladly invite you to taste the delicacies that are ripe during your stay at the holiday house "Smokvica." A private parking space (for several cars) is also available on the property.

On the largest green oasis of the northern Adriatic Istria, lies the small charming village of Rakalj.
First mentioned in 1190, it was once known for traditional Istrian ceramics and sailors as well as fishermen.
Rakalj offers pleasures in beautiful surroundings and the sea, sun and peace away from the crowds,
and the beautiful numerous beaches, hidden from people's view, give you the feeling of intimacy and freedom. With about 19 kilometres of coastline, the village makes holidaymakers' hearts beat faster. The place and the surrounding area are rich in flora and fauna and therefore they are very suitable for walks. Nature can be enjoyed to the fullest, also thanks to the many bicycle paths and the numerous footpaths (e.g. Stephen Hauser Path), there is something for everyone.
It is attractive to visitors because of its cultural and historical sights (baroque parish church built in the 18th century, Rakalj castle ruins) and ethnographic collections located in the house of the scientist and writer Mijo Mirkovic (Mate Balota). Old Rakalj is located close to the sea, on a hill in Raška Bay. Next to the ruins of Old Rakalj is the church of St. Agneze from 1495, from where there is a beautiful panorama of the valley of the river Raša and the countless fields, mostly covered with sage and straw flowers.
Traditional gourmet specialities consisting of fresh fruits of nature and the sea welcome you to Rakalj and Istria.
Be sure to visit Pula, the largest city on the Istrian peninsula. Pula is rich in cultural monuments of Roman architecture: the Amphitheatre, the Triumphal Arch of Sergijevaca from the 1st century BC, the Hercules Door and the Double Door, the Temple of August, the small Roman theatre in the centre of the town, the Forum launching pad... Apart from cultural monuments, Pula is also known for its numerous smaller islands and bays, crystal clear sea and beautiful beaches.
