Description
With a beautiful view of the Mookerplas and located in a wooded area, this Houseboat is a great place to spend your holiday. The Houseboat has the same comforts as a boat only you cannot sail with it; it remains moored during your stay. You can dive straight from the terrace (with swimming ladder) of your Houseboat into the clear lake for a swim.
Accommodation
The lodge has a cosy living room with a comfortable couch and a table for 6 people with a direct view of the lake through the large windows. The living room leads to the terrace, with a fantastic view of the lake. The accommodation can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children.
The compact kitchen has a hob, coffee machine (Senseo), fridge and kettle. The first bedroom has a double box spring bed (160x200cm) with two single duvets and pillows. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with two single beds (80x200cm). If there are more than 4 of you, the sofa bed in the living room offers an extra sleeping place. The bathroom has a toilet, washbasin, electric heater, hairdryer and shower cabin with sliding glass walls. The accommodation also has air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. It is possible from April 1 to November 1 to use the washer and dryer in the adjacent Driesen Marina for a fee. In addition to the Houseboat, there is also room to bring your own boat of a maximum of 2.5 * 5. Parking is available in the nearby car park. It is a five-minute walk to the houseboat, and there are luggage trolleys available in the harbour.
Surrounding area
If you love everything in and around water, this is the ideal place for you. Water rats and sun worshippers will be in their element here surrounded by nature. You have your own 'private lake' with beautifully clear water right outside the door. If you like fishing, you can even cast a line from your terrace (fishing license is not required)! It is also possible to rent a luxury sloop, kayak or SUP so that all possibilities on the water can be used to the full. This also allows you to moor at your own houseboat. If you want to explore the surroundings, follow one of the walking routes or hire a sturdy E-chopper with a suggested route to see even more of the area. De Mookerplas is situated in the beautiful nature reserve of De Mookerheide and is close to the German border and the lovely city of Nijmegen and Arnhem. A variety of restaurants and sights are also within easy reach.

We really liked the house and the location. The seating area and the floor on the terrace below were not well cleaned/swept. Otherwise, everything was clean. Are there also houses without dogs? We saw that there are very large dogs there and they sit on the sofa. Next time, we would like a house where dogs are not allowed.

It was simply amazing once again! Coming home after a long day of work and then relaxing on the boat, watching the sunrise at 6 in the morning is a lot of quality of life and a reward for the often stressful day :-). That's why I have already recommended your address to others and some colleagues from Mettler and Arvato are now guests and it's a great community. It is a peaceful and calming atmosphere. The interior is modern and everything was tidy and clean. The heating works very well so you have a cozy temperature even in the winter. We spend the time in December and loved it. The beds, the couch and the chairs were comfy. The kitchen is fully equipped. We really enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. We will surely return. Super positive was that everything was explained in different languages in a blue folder. We also liked that there was a description of our exact position and an emergency number. We loved the Christmas decorations.

Great location with a stunning view. Delightfully quiet. Houseboat equipped with all conveniences and tidy. Information we received prior to check-in was excellent. Beautiful surroundings for nice walks. And a few nice restaurants in the neighborhood where dogs are also welcome. There is a grocery service so you can order your groceries in advance and they will be ready in your houseboat when you arrive. Delicious luxury, it was top-notch. We had a wonderful stay.
