Description
Beautiful villa in a quiet and sunny position in a small agricultural estate near Cefalù, 60 km east of Palermo. The recently restored residence consists of two comfortable flats. It is situated on a gentle slope and offers a splendid view of the surrounding countryside and the blue Tyrrhenian Sea. The flats each have a separate entrance and a large terrace for outdoor dining. The welcoming and well-divided interiors have terracotta floors with hand-decorated Moorish tiles and are furnished with country-style furniture, wrought-iron accessories and co-ordinating fabrics.
A short walk leads to the communal pool and large sun terrace with garden furniture (tables, sun loungers, chairs, outdoor shower).
The adjacent mansion is occasionally occupied by the owners.

Location and surroundings of object
Cefalu, internationally known seaside resort on the Tyrrhenian Sea, about 60km east of Palermo, was founded in the 4th century BC. In the course of the centuries, the town became Roman, Byzantine and Muslim. Its heyday, however, came with the Normans. Cefalu is immersed in a landscape of extraordinary charm. The wide horizon of the sea, the Rocca mountain and the Norman cathedral with a breathtaking view over the city. From the Cathedral, the centre of Cefalu, many small medieval streets branch out, tempting tourists with various churches, numerous small Renaissance and Baroque palaces. To name but a few: the l Osterio Magno, the medieval washhouse, the Temple of Diana and the Museo Mandralisca, where rare archaeological artefacts and art from all periods can be seen. For example, the Ritratto d Ignoto (Portrait of an Unknown Man) by Antonello da Messina.

super great holiday apartment
We were accommodated in a beautiful house with a magnificent panoramic view. Those seeking tranquility will find it here.
Our apartment was very spacious and beautifully furnished. It is located 10 minutes from the nearest town, Campofelice di Roccella. Unique was the generous pool with sea view, which we enjoyed very much.
Angela and Franco are very friendly and helpful.
We had 9 wonderful days in Villa Ivoni and would gladly come back.
