Welcome to the website of our holiday home, a quiet and detached chalet in the Swiss Oberland (approx. 660 km from Cologne). The house is situated on a mountain stream and has a large garden (about 450 m²). It is located in the small community of Matten (approx. 350 inhabitants), a part of the inhabitant community of St. Stephan in the skiing area of Adelboden/Lenk and Gstaad-Saanenland.
We are the Smidt family from Boskoop, province of Zuid-Holland in the Netherlands. We rent out our chalet in Switzerland during the whole year. In winter it is a great place for skiing (dozens of lifts), cross-country skiing or snowboarding (ski bus is nearby), and in spring, autumn and summer it is an ideal starting point for hiking or other sporting activities, for example rafting, paragliding etc.The flats are equipped with all amenities, you have here smart-TV with satellite reception and an ADSL / WIFI connection for internet and e-mail; in the upper floor flat there is even a PC. In Zweisimmen and/or Lenk you can find a Landi, COOP, Migros or ALDI.The chalet is a two-family house and is completely newly furnished. The chalet consists of a flat on the ground floor for a maximum of 4 people and a flat on the upper floor, which extends over two floors, for a maximum of 7 people.The upper and lower flats can be rented individually, but it is also possible to rent the whole house with a total of 11 beds.At the front of the chalet there is ample parking with two parking spaces. We also have a large garden of 450 m² around the house and a large sun terrace with garden furniture.A garden shed with garden furniture (and barbecue in garden shed) and a new heated ski room for ski equipment, wet ski clothes, ski boots etc. are also available.

Location and surroundings of object
The chalet is located in the municipality of Matten, part of the municipality of St. Stephan, close to Zweisimmen and Lenk. It is in the southernmost part of the Bernese Oberland, with the climate of southern Switzerland. Opposite the house begins the still pristine Fermeltal; still unspoilt, here you will find only a cafe-restaurant Alpenrose, but only Swiss farms.

I have been the happy owner of Chalet Marijke for almost 20 years. I still enjoy it to the fullest, it is very beautiful and I relax wonderfully there. I am sure that alpine fans will enjoy themselves here.
