Description
Welcome to our friendly guest flat in a historic house. It is equipped with everything - and a little more - that you need for your carefree holiday. The flat is located on the first floor of a 5-party house. Despite its elevated position, the house is easily accessible even in winter, and your car is protected in a car shelter.
The children also have enough free space, they can play as they like on the school playground opposite and there is a small playground at the house for shared use
The fitted kitchen has an induction cooker, an oven, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a toaster, a Nespresso machine and alternatively everything you need for a filter coffee. There are enough dishes and cooking utensils, you don't need to bring anything from home. Vinegar/oil/sugar/salt are also ready for you, as well as washing-up liquid, tabs and kitchen linen
In the living room you will find a large dining table for 5 people, TV and DVD as well as DAB radio with Bluetooth, a cosy sofa and two comfortable armchairs. Board games for all ages are also ready for you.
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub with shower partition and offers enough storage space for your utensils. Toilet paper is also provided - at least for the first time.
The large bedroom has three beds (one double and one single bed), a bedside table and a wardrobe. A children's travel bed is available on request.
The small bedroom has two single beds and a spacious wardrobe with drawers.
The beautifully situated balcony with the priceless view has a dining table with chairs as well as comfortable deck chairs.
In the entrance area there is a built-in wardrobe with enough space for your outdoor clothing and shoes. Here you will also find two children's high chairs, a small ironing board, the clothes horse and clothes pegs.
In the hallway there are more built-in cupboards, one for the cleaning utensils, in the other the caquelon for cheese fondue and the caquelon for meat fondue, the pressure cooker, the raclette and table grill and the iron are stored.
There is a laundry room with dryer in the house for shared use by arrangement with the caretaker.

Location and surroundings of object
Frutigen is the perfect starting point for all summer and winter activities in the Bernese Oberland. The house is located above the village, but by car you can reach the centre in five minutes.
For skiing you go to the family-friendly ski area Elsigenalp, for higher demands to the ski arena Adelboden-Lenk, both ski areas can be reached in 20 minutes by car
Elsigenalp also offers great conditions for cross-country skiers and hikers, and the toboggan run to the valley station is very popular. All ski equipment and sledges can be rented at the valley station.
In Adelboden you will find ski areas to suit all tastes, well-maintained cross-country ski trails and hiking paths, and the Tschentenalp sledging paradise. For non-skiers there is the ice skating and curling rink.
Or you can drive - also in 20 minutes - to the tranquil Kiental, take the cosy chairlift to Ramslauenen and sledge back down.
In Kandersteg you will find a special feature when the temperatures are cold: the frozen Lake Oeschinen, a beautifully situated mountain lake where you can go for a walk, ice-skate or take the pram.
And after your sporting activities, relax your muscles in the Frutigen indoor swimming pool.
In summer, the excursion possibilities are almost limitless.
Within a radius of no more than 30 minutes by car you can be at Lake Thun or Lake Brienz, in Interlaken, Spiez, Thun and Bern
Frutigen is the main town of the Kandertal valley with a good infrastructure. In addition to many shops and restaurants, there is an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with sports and wellness facilities, a mini-golf and a pump track facility, a beautiful playground in the village and an underground marmot playground at the Frutigresort next to the indoor and outdoor swimming pool. A visit to the tropical house is recommended especially when the weather is not so good. There is a nice picnic area with a fireplace by the Engstligenbach stream below the holiday flat, and another one by the Tellenburg castle, which can be seen from the flat.
Horse lovers will find a riding stable in Frutigen. For those who want to fly high, the Kandertal is a popular paragliding and skydiving paradise.
Swimming in Lake Thun, hiking and high mountain tours of all levels of difficulty in the surrounding area, bouldering on Engstligenalp, trotting from Sillerenbühl, climbing, eating ice cream in the Hängebrücken Beizli, unwinding on a Lake Thun or Lake Brienz boat trip, Castle tours around Lake Thun, summer tobogganing at Lake Oeschinen, gazing into the distance from the many panoramic mountains, shopping in Thun, Interlaken or Bern, a trip to the Jungfrau region, a visit to the romantic Blausee, everything is possible!

Great stay!
In a beautiful location in Frutigen in a former hotel, we had a wonderful holiday week.
The house offers spacious rooms with great beds, a well-equipped kitchen, but above all a large balcony with fantastic views.
In the Frutigen region, there are beautiful hikes to be made. We had beautiful weather and on that one rainy day, our hostess baked us a delicious apple-apricot pie!

Nothing was missing
We felt very well looked after at Haus Doldenhorn. For our plan to explore Switzerland properly from a central location in the Bernese Oberland, to visit many towns and landscapes, this holiday flat in Frutigen was ideally suited. Although we booked the flat online from the far north, the hosts took excellent care of us. They were responsive to us both online and in person - even at short notice.
We liked the flat very much. Everything we needed was there, including a feel-good atmosphere. The flat has a lot of space and you feel like you really live there. The view of the Doldenhorn, whether in the morning for breakfast or in the evening to relax, will remain a nice memory.
We will gladly recommend the holiday flat in the Doldenhorn house of the Stöckli family.

If vacation in Frutigen - then definitely Doldenhorn
Once again a heartfelt thank you for an unforgettable time at the Doldenhorn! There is little more to say except that simply EVERYTHING exceeded our expectations. From the equipment to the incredibly beautiful view, nice residents of the house, helpful and extremely courteous hosts, and pure nature! Doldenhorn is a very good tip.
We, the Falkenberg family (2 people) and a dachshund, were on vacation in Frutigen for 10 days.
We have been staying in vacation rentals for decades, we have had good and bad accommodations. The apartment of Mrs. Stöckli pleasantly surprised us. The view has been mentioned many times, but it is really so. Fantastic!!!
The equipment of the entire apartment leaves nothing to be desired. Despite a handicap of the hostess, the service was very good.
When we were there, families with children also arrived. If you wanted and opened your ears wide, you could sense children playing, but only if you wanted.
No, it was a very nice, relaxing and quiet vacation.
We can recommend this vacation rental with a clear conscience.

zuerst einmal das positive über unsere Zeit am Doldenhorn. Eigentlich kann ich überhaupt nichts aussetzten, die Gastfamilie ist super freundlich und wirklich in jeder Hinsicht hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung echt tip top in allen Belangen.
Warum ich durchweg 2 Sterne gebe : Man hört wirklich jedes Geräusch der Nachbarn von oben drüber gerade im Wohn und Schlafbereich. Während unserer Zeit waren das 2 versch. Familien und an Entspannung war so nicht zu denken.

Very nice apartment
The apartment in the Doldenhorn is very cozy and tastefully furnished. Also, the equipment is almost perfect, everything you need is available in the kitchen. It is also perfect for children, there are lots of toys that you can use, there are high chairs, a baby bed, children's dishes, and even a comfortable bathtub. You really don't have to bring anything.
The only disadvantage is maybe that the house is outside the village and therefore you are dependent on a car. But the great view you have is priceless :-) we would always spend our holidays there again.

Die Wohnung war im wirklichen Leben noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Het appartement was in het echt nog leuker dan op de foto’s
Van 12 t/m 16 september verbleven wij (moeder 84 en 3 dochters) in het appartement van Claudine.
Het appartement was in het echt nog leuker dan op de foto’s. Alle voorzieningen waren aanwezig. Het uitzicht vanaf ons riante (echt groot) balkon was fenomenaal. Net alsof je naar een ansichtkaart keek.
Claudine had ons allerlei tips gegeven voor uitstapjes in de omgeving ook geschikt voor onze moeder. We zijn naar Murren geweest, een boottocht op de Thunersee vanaf Spiez naar Thun en we hebben het bergmeer in Kandersteg bezocht.
Op aanraden van de benedenbuurman zijn we op zaterdagavond gaan eten bij restaurant Schermtanne in Adelboden. Is ook zeker een aanrader.
Kortom ik zou dit appartement zeker aanraden. Het is wel aan te raden een auto te huren.

Vom 12. bis 16. September waren wir (Mutter 84 und 3 Töchter) in Claudines Wohnung.
Die Wohnung war im wirklichen Leben noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Alle Einrichtungen waren vorhanden. Die Aussicht von unserem großen (sehr schöne) Balkon war phänomenal. Als ob Sie eine Postkarte betrachten würden.
Claudine hatte uns alle möglichen Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgebung gegeben, die auch für unsere Mutter geeignet waren. Wir fuhren nach Mürren, eine Bootsfahrt auf dem Thunersee von Spiez nach Thun und besuchten den Bergsee in Kandersteg.
Auf Anraten des Nachbarn im Erdgeschoss gingen wir am Samstagabend zum Abendessen in das Restaurant Schermtanne in Adelboden. Ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.
Kurz gesagt, ich würde diese Wohnung auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Es ist ratsam, ein Auto zu mieten.

Pure relaxation!
The vacation apartment is really nicely furnished, the view from the balcony is beautiful. All the equipment needed for a pleasant vacation was there. The vacation apartment and Frutigen are very well suited as a starting point for many excursions. The landlords (who happened to be on site during the same period) were very friendly and helpful, they gave us numerous tips for excursions. Highly recommended!

Simply fantastic
We spent Easter in the Doldenhorn House in Frutigen. We fell in love as soon as we entered the vacation rental. We enjoyed every single second of our vacation and felt completely comfortable. The apartment is in a quiet location and excellently furnished. There, the world still seems to be in order. The view alone was enough for us to want nothing else. This vacation rental and the landlords are absolutely recommendable, and we really hope that we will have the opportunity to return to Frutigen.

Beautiful apartment and great view from the balcony
The apartment is located in a perfect hillside location with a wonderful view of the mountains. The Stöckli family has lovingly prepared everything, cared for us very unobtrusively and very sympathetically. These are really very warm-hearted people who are very concerned about the well-being of their guests. Recommended for relaxation. However, you have to expect small children who may turn the balcony above (guests) and below (residents) into a playground. A lazy day in the sun can then be exhausting. But if you spend the day on excursions, the apartment is an idyllic place to return to. sehr angenehme Wohnung
Die FeWo war angenehm und sehr kinderfreundlich eingerichtet.
Die Küche war gut ausgestattet und alles war sehr sauber.
Es hat alles was man in den Ferien benötigt.

Fantastic days even at the beginning of November
Even at the beginning of November, this flat is simply wonderful! Although the hiking season was (almost) over and the ski season had not yet started - Haus Doldenhorn is an ideal starting point for numerous activities & recreation in the Bernese Oberland in any weather. The flat lacks nothing: arrive and feel good! The magnificent view of the valley and the surrounding mountains from the large terrace, the wonderfully cosy furnishings and last but not least the very nice hosts - everything just perfect. We are already planning our next holiday with a dog in the Doldenhorn and would be happy to recommend the flat to others!

Fully equipped and very cosy apartment, in a quiet location and with a beautiful mountain view. You immediately feel like you have arrived on holiday.
Wake up to the morning sun, have breakfast on the large balcony terrace, simply start hiking... All attractions such as Grindelwald, Adelboden, Kandersteg, Lake Thun etc. within easy reach in summer and winter

Absolut zu empfehlen
Sehr saubere und sehr gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung in hervorragender Lage. Vom Balkon und selbst vom Bett aus die Berge betrachten. Sehr grosser Balkon, fast eine Terrasse. Von Frutigen aus ist man sehr schnell ueberall im.Berner Oberland und im Wallis. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Eine sehr gute Ausstattung der Wohnung. In der Küche ist alles was man benötigt und mehr!!!!
Nach der Wandertour den Kaffee auf der Traumterasse genießen!!!!!
Dem Vermieter ist sehr wichtig das es dem Gast sehr gut geht, und das er sich wohl fühlt.

Die Wohnung bietet Alles was das Herz begehrt und mehr! Von der Super ausgestatteten Küche bis hin zu den vielen Schlaf- und Ausruhmöglichkeiten ist man hier Bestens aufgehoben. Die Terrasse bietet täglich einen wunderbaren Ausblick. Das Dorf ist nicht weit und mit dem Auto ist man schnell auf den Autobahnen. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert und auch für Kinder super.

Wunderschöne Wintersportferien
Wir haben tolle Tage in Frutigen verbracht. Das nahgelegene Skigebiet Elsigalp ist für Familien sehr zu empfehlen! Da es sehr übersichtlich ist, können grössere Kinder auch mal eine Abfahrt alleine machen. Die Fahrzeit von max 20 min ist für uns gut machbar. In der sehr gut ausgestatteten Wohnung, lässt es sich gut verweilen und auch Kochen fällt leicht, da alles und mehr vorhanden ist. Rundum perfekte Tage im Schnee!

Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ski- und Wandergebiete - Kinderfreundlich!
Die Wohnung ist sehr schön gelegen mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht ins Tal. Die Terrasse ist sehr grosszügig.
Mit dem Auto ist man schnell im Dorf für Besorgungen und Frutigen ist ein idealer Ausgangsort für viele Unternehmungen, egal ob man Ski fährt, gerne wandert oder ein See- und Stadtausflug machen möchte (Thun, Interlaken).
Mit der Schule die gleich gegenüber liegt, haben die Kinder Möglichkeit auf dem Pausenplatz zu toben oder im Sandkasten zu spielen.
Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, auch für den Aufenthalt mit kleinen Kindern.
Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Erholsame Ferien
Das Doldenhorn liegt auf einer Anhöhe an ruhiger Lage und bietet einen schönen Panoramablick auf die umliegenden Berge. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet einen guten Komfort. Auch bei schlechtem Wetter lässt es sich gemütlich wohnen und lädt zum relaxen ein.
