Description
Welcome to our friendly guest flat in a historic house. It is equipped with everything - and a little more - that you need for your carefree holiday. The flat is located on the first floor of a 5-party house. Despite its elevated position, the house is easily accessible even in winter, and your car is protected in a car shelter.
The children also have enough free space, they can play as they like on the school playground opposite and there is a small playground at the house for shared use
The fitted kitchen has an induction cooker, an oven, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a toaster, a Nespresso machine and alternatively everything you need for a filter coffee. There are enough dishes and cooking utensils, you don't need to bring anything from home. Vinegar/oil/sugar/salt are also ready for you, as well as washing-up liquid, tabs and kitchen linen
In the living room you will find a large dining table for 5 people, TV and DVD as well as DAB radio with Bluetooth, a cosy sofa and two comfortable armchairs. Board games for all ages are also ready for you.
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub with shower partition and offers enough storage space for your utensils. Toilet paper is also provided - at least for the first time.
The large bedroom has three beds (one double and one single bed), a bedside table and a wardrobe. A children's travel bed is available on request.
The small bedroom has two single beds and a spacious wardrobe with drawers.
The beautifully situated balcony with the priceless view has a dining table with chairs as well as comfortable deck chairs.
In the entrance area there is a built-in wardrobe with enough space for your outdoor clothing and shoes. Here you will also find two children's high chairs, a small ironing board, the clothes horse and clothes pegs.
In the hallway there are more built-in cupboards, one for the cleaning utensils, in the other the caquelon for cheese fondue and the caquelon for meat fondue, the pressure cooker, the raclette and table grill and the iron are stored.
There is a laundry room with dryer in the house for shared use by arrangement with the caretaker.

Location and surroundings of object
Frutigen is the perfect starting point for all summer and winter activities in the Bernese Oberland. The house is located above the village, but by car you can reach the centre in five minutes.
For skiing you go to the family-friendly ski area Elsigenalp, for higher demands to the ski arena Adelboden-Lenk, both ski areas can be reached in 20 minutes by car
Elsigenalp also offers great conditions for cross-country skiers and hikers, and the toboggan run to the valley station is very popular. All ski equipment and sledges can be rented at the valley station.
In Adelboden you will find ski areas to suit all tastes, well-maintained cross-country ski trails and hiking paths, and the Tschentenalp sledging paradise. For non-skiers there is the ice skating and curling rink.
Or you can drive - also in 20 minutes - to the tranquil Kiental, take the cosy chairlift to Ramslauenen and sledge back down.
In Kandersteg you will find a special feature when the temperatures are cold: the frozen Lake Oeschinen, a beautifully situated mountain lake where you can go for a walk, ice-skate or take the pram.
And after your sporting activities, relax your muscles in the Frutigen indoor swimming pool.
In summer, the excursion possibilities are almost limitless.
Within a radius of no more than 30 minutes by car you can be at Lake Thun or Lake Brienz, in Interlaken, Spiez, Thun and Bern
Frutigen is the main town of the Kandertal valley with a good infrastructure. In addition to many shops and restaurants, there is an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with sports and wellness facilities, a mini-golf and a pump track facility, a beautiful playground in the village and an underground marmot playground at the Frutigresort next to the indoor and outdoor swimming pool. A visit to the tropical house is recommended especially when the weather is not so good. There is a nice picnic area with a fireplace by the Engstligenbach stream below the holiday flat, and another one by the Tellenburg castle, which can be seen from the flat.
Horse lovers will find a riding stable in Frutigen. For those who want to fly high, the Kandertal is a popular paragliding and skydiving paradise.
Swimming in Lake Thun, hiking and high mountain tours of all levels of difficulty in the surrounding area, bouldering on Engstligenalp, trotting from Sillerenbühl, climbing, eating ice cream in the Hängebrücken Beizli, unwinding on a Lake Thun or Lake Brienz boat trip, Castle tours around Lake Thun, summer tobogganing at Lake Oeschinen, gazing into the distance from the many panoramic mountains, shopping in Thun, Interlaken or Bern, a trip to the Jungfrau region, a visit to the romantic Blausee, everything is possible!

Beautiful apartment with dream view
We spent two wonderful weeks in the lovely apartment. The amenities were excellent, nothing was missing. The view from the balcony is absolutely breathtaking. Particularly noteworthy is the warm nature of the landlady. One Sunday, she surprised us with a homemade apricot cake. The Bernese Oberland offers so many great excursion destinations - we definitely want to come back.

A vacation apartment to feel good Enjoy
We felt very comfortable in this cozy apartment from the first minute. The view of the mountains is unique. And the kitchen is equipped with everything one could wish for, and everything is very tidy and clean.

Great stay!
In a beautiful location in Frutigen in a former hotel, we had a wonderful holiday week.
The house offers spacious rooms with great beds, a well-equipped kitchen, but above all a large balcony with fantastic views.
In the Frutigen region, there are beautiful hikes to be made. We had beautiful weather and on that one rainy day, our hostess baked us a delicious apple-apricot pie!

Simply dreamlike
