Our water house is located in the first row with an unobstructed view of the Schlei. Here you will find peace and relaxation.
At the same time, it is the ideal starting point for water sports right on the doorstep or eventful excursions to the sights of the Schlei Nature Park.
Via the Schlei hiking trail, you can reach the historic fishing settlement of Holm, the lively town harbour with its restaurants and cafés and Schleswig's pedestrian zone in just a few minutes.
Experience a very special holiday by and on the water.
You can reach our water house via a pontoon, only a few metres away from the car park. By stepping onto the pontoon, you simply leave everyday life back on land.
With an area of approx. 150 sqm, the water house offers comfortable space for up to six people.
On the ground floor there are three bedrooms and a bathroom. Upstairs is the open kitchen with adjoining dining area and the living area overlooking the water. There is also a guest toilet with washing machine and dryer.
The rooms in detail:
Bedroom 1:
Built-in wardrobes offer enough space for your clothes. You sleep on a modern box-spring bed from Swiss-Sense in the size 180 x 200 cm. In the morning, the sun shines through the large porthole at your feet and you look directly onto the jetty and the Schlei.
Bedroom 2:
The double bed has two pocket spring mattresses with a total lying surface of 180 x 200 cm as well. The built-in wardrobe and the drawers in the base of the bed offer plenty of storage space. Two windows facing west let the sun shine in in the evening.
Bedroom 3:
Here two children or adults find a comfortable place to sleep in the custom-made bunk bed. The mattresses are full-size at 90 x 200 cm each. The integrated wardrobe and the plinth drawers also offer guests sufficient wardrobe space here. The sun comes in through the east-facing window in the morning.
There are dimmable night lights on all beds as well as sockets (also USB) for charging your electronic devices.
The bathroom offers a spacious rain shower with separate hand shower. You won't get in your own way at the double washbasin. Of course, there are enough hanging options for all towels, even a towel heater, a vanity mirror and a hairdryer.
The kitchen is fully equipped, there are enough dishes, glasses and cutlery that you don't have to wash up after every meal. Also: fridge with large freezer compartment, induction cooker with exhaust, oven, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster...
The adjoining dining area with its large table and comfortable upholstered chairs offers plenty of space for eating together. But just as much for cheerful game nights and long conversations. Simply pair your mobile phone with our Sonos speaker and listen to your favourite music.
In the living area, a corner couch and an upholstered lounger invite you to read a book or simply look out over the Schlei and let your thoughts run free. And if that's really too boring for you, there's a 55-inch smart TV with television and access to your streaming services.
On two terraces you can enjoy the view of the Schlei. Upstairs you will find a large dining table and a barbecue. On the sun deck in the attic, a cosy lounge corner invites you to enjoy a sundowner.

Boat mooring directly at the house can be booked on request (for your own boat up to approx. 5 m in length)
Costs for final cleaning are included in the rental price.
Important information:
Currently (April 2023) there are still construction measures on the area of the pioneer harbour, behind the building. This does not usually affect the use of the water house. Nevertheless, we have discounted the prices for the time being.
Please understand that the house can only be rented for whole weeks in season A (high season), arrival and departure day is always Saturday.
In season B the minimum rental period is one week, arrival and departure on a day other than Saturday is possible in individual cases and only by prior arrangement.
As already described, this is a non-smoking house. Pets are also not allowed.

The Wasserhaus Freiheit is located in the pioneer harbour of the city of Schleswig, in the Freiheit district. You can reach the historic fishing settlement of Holm, the lively town harbour with its restaurants and cafés and Schleswig's pedestrian zone in just a few minutes via the Schlei hiking trail. The Wasserhaus is located on a jetty in the first row of the harbour, in the direct vicinity of other water houses and boat moorings.
