Location in Neue Tiefe – central yet peaceful
From your vacation home on Bürgermeister-Fox-Strasse, it's only 920 meters to the south beach. A pleasant ten-minute walk brings you to the fine sandy beach where you can swim, stroll or simply enjoy the sun.
The harbor of Burgstaaken with its fishing boats and maritime restaurants is just 1.2 km away. Here you can buy fresh fish directly from the boats or dine in one of the harbor restaurants overlooking the marina. The town center of Burg with its cafés, shops and restaurants is 2.4 km away.
Neue Tiefe itself is a quiet residential area without its own shops or restaurants. Instead, you'll enjoy absolute tranquility while still being close to everything. The island's like the Ocean Center (3.7 km) or Galileo World of Knowledge (3.6 km) are just short drives away.

The vacation home is located in Neue Tiefe, between Burgtiefe and Burg auf Fehmarn. Burgtiefe is home to the popular "Südstrand" beach and Burg is regularly buzzing with life. In Neue Tiefe you have the shortest distances to both, as well as to the rest of the island.

Absolute Empfehlung der Unterkunft
Die Wohnung selbst, die Ausstattung und die Lage fanden wir sehr gut. In der Duschwanne fehlt eine Antirutschmatte. Die Duschwanne ist sehr glatt. Diese Unterkunft können wir absolut weiterempfehlen.

We were in the apartment for the 2nd time and actually satisfied. However, a few things need to be repaired. The hand shower is still defective; we also had to descale it first, the door handle was so loose that we tightened it properly. The broom has still not been replaced. Cleanliness was okay. However, the apartment has mold growth in every room, which you can smell directly in winter when you enter the apartment. It would also be nice to have a blackout roller blind in the bedroom; it is very bright when the outdoor lighting comes on at night. Our bed linen was not there, but it was delivered to us within three quarters of an hour by the nice lady. I don't mind having to make the bed myself. This way, you can see right away in what condition the blankets and pillows are. We liked it a lot, but we will choose a different island flower next time because we need 2 bedrooms.

The location of the apartment is top!
All in all, we were satisfied. 2 points are worth improving. The hand shower can only be fixed to the rod with cable ties, and the broom for indoors should be replaced. PS: the direct neighbors (presumably owners of the neighboring apartment) do NOT.

Conditionally recommended
After the long journey, the reception was forced to be friendly. It seemed to us that the lady at the reception was a bit overwhelmed. The holiday apartment appeared to be clean at first glance, but the opposite was true. The shower and toilet were very much in need of maintenance. There wasn't even any toilet cleaner available. The windows also need to be cleaned. The kitchen (stove and cabinets not clean). The faucets were very calcified. The hammer, after the long journey we first had to make our beds with the booked laundry package. Such things should at least be included in the service! We are very familiar with holiday apartments. Maybe it's the service?
