The holiday home is part of the historic customs settlement in Monschau-Kalterherberg on the edge of the High Fens, at the gates of the Eifel National Park, above the historic old town of Monschau. It is an ideal starting point for hikes in the High Fens, on the Eifelsteig or in the surrounding forests. Cycling tours on the Vennbahn cycle path, the Ruruferweg or the Eifelhöhenweg can be started directly from here. The new MTB training centre with pump track on the outskirts of the village offers free fun on two wheels for young and old.
A hike along the Rur to Monschau, a picturesque half-timbered town with charming alleyways and a historic old town, is a special experience.
