At Prager Platz (approx. 200m) (Erich Kästner's 'Emil and the Detectives' played here) there are very good shopping facilities and a fitness and wellness center including a swimming pool.
All of Berlin's sights (including the government district) are easily accessible by public transport (e.g. bus 200, 100 Zoo-Philharmonie-Potsdamer Platz-Alex). A taxi ride Uber or Bolt to Potsdamer Platz costs about 12,-.

Charming accommodation
Very central and quiet location. Good accessibility to all sights by public transport. Clean and well-maintained apartment in the old building style of the beautiful West district with numerous nice pubs and restaurants.
