The bungalow is a detached, charming holiday cottage connected to a carport. Cozy and sheltered garden facing south.
The living room has a spacious, modern kitchen with a dining area. The living room sofa can be pulled out, providing space for two additional sleeping options.
On the ground floor is a small, modern bathroom with a shower and toilet.
In the living room, a steep staircase leads to the upper floor. Here there are two bedrooms. The larger bedroom has a double bed with two mattresses. The small room has a narrow double bed.
There is a nice children's playground with swings, a badminton court, and a small soccer field in the bungalow park. Nearby is a diving site with equipment such as compressed air filling, etc.
The nearest supermarket is about 500 m away. It is very popular for its fresh crispy rolls and good selection of fresh products.
Behind the approximately 100 m2 garden is a small creek. At the dam 400 m away, a smaller sandy beach has been created, which is popular with families with small children due to its sheltered location. Right next door is a very good restaurant with a sea view; here you can also drink coffee or have snacks during the day, and in the evening, you can have a very good meal.
One can take a very nice walk of about 30 - 40 minutes on the dam to the old fishing village of Brouwershaven. The old port is lined with very well-maintained narrow houses from the 17th century. Some restaurants and shops are located here.
From the dam in the opposite direction is the resort town of Scharendijke, about 3.5 km away.
Here begins the over 20 kilometers long bright, fine-grained sandy beach that stretches almost halfway around the island. Throughout the route, there are numerous paths that lead through the dunes, at the end of which there are parking opportunities. Even in the peak season, very nice quiet beach areas can be found. However, one should bring provisions, as there are no beach restaurants at these locations.

We spent a lovely week as three (with my parents and dogs) and felt comfortable.
Service: Arrival and departure as well as key handover at the office went smoothly and very friendly.
House: The four bedrooms were ideal, so everyone could sleep separately. The rooms are functionally furnished, but quite small – a dog crate just fit. The mattress of the single bed is clearly worn out and should be replaced. Most bedroom doors are a bit heavy to open. Kitchen well equipped, living room cozy, the gas fireplace a nice extra.
Bathroom: Small, but with all necessities. Attention: Step into the bathroom and threshold to the shower – a challenge for guests with limited mobility or walkers.
Cleanliness: Overall acceptable, but with room for improvement: visible cobwebs, first signs of mold in the shower seams (reported to the office) and marking traces of previous dogs on the floor. More care in the final cleaning would be desirable. Garden: A real highlight – large and beautiful! Important for dog owners: It is not fenced, only limited by planting and hedge trimming. Therefore, not suitable for escape artists.
Location: Great, in the front row by the dike, close to dunes and beach. Due to construction work, the road was almost traffic-free and quiet during our time; I cannot assess how loud it is with normal traffic. The bike shed is practical, which may... can be used as a dog area through gate doors (not tested).
Conclusion: We can recommend the house to anyone who appreciates a location directly by the dike and beach. With small improvements (cleanliness, mattresses, doors), it could be even more convincing.
