Description
The access to the holiday home is via a concreted private road, which ends in front of the house. There is 1 outdoor parking space available.
The two-family house was newly built in 1959 and has been regularly updated since then. It was extensively insulated in 2011 and is equipped with airtight windows. Heating is provided by a heat pump, and photovoltaic cells supply the house with electricity.
The 3.5-room holiday apartment offers plenty of space for a relaxing vacation on a living area of 83 sqm. The excellently equipped open kitchen has an oven, a dishwasher, a coffee machine, and a microwave (upon request). In the spacious dining area with panoramic views of the lake and mountains, there is room for up to 8 people.
It becomes cozy when, in the large living room (33m2), the fire burns in the fireplace in the evening and all guests have found their favorite spot. Firewood can be obtained behind the house for a small fee. The internet is available free of charge, as well as cable television. In the large bedroom, there is a double bed (2x90x200), and in the small one, there is a bed that can be pulled out into two single beds (2x90x200). There is closet space available in both rooms. As an additional sleeping option, the sofa in the living room can be easily transformed into a comfortable French bed (160x200).
From the living room, you have direct access to the spacious seating area with a sunshade. Additional seating areas provide different views of the lake and mountains. A grill and lounge chairs are available. The large meadow opposite the front door invites you to play and frolic.
In the bathroom, there is a walk-in shower and a toilet, as well as a separate toilet in the next room. The washing machine and dryer in the basement may be used.

The cozy and comfortably furnished holiday apartment is situated in Oberägeri, a municipality that encompasses the southern part of the lake. Holidaymakers, couples, and families alike enjoy an unforgettable stay in Switzerland. The house is in Morgarten, a hamlet outside of Oberägeri on Hauptseestr. 115, 6315 Oberägeri Morgarten. It is accessible via a private road that branches off from the main road at the farmhouse on Hauptseestr. 117 and leads up the hill for about 350 meters. The detached two-family house is situated in an elevated location with a great view over the lake, directly next to a wooded stream on the edge of meadows and pastures. The holiday apartment is on the ground floor, and a senior lives in the attic with his small dog and 2 cats. In the heart of nature, in a mild climate, you will experience an unforgettable vacation in the middle of Switzerland. Lake Ägeri is a true paradise for families with children, active vacationers, hikers, and those seeking peace. Excellently developed hiking trails enable long walks through nature. The public bathing place is located near the church within walking distance (7 minutes). Below the vacation apartment, there is a farm where fresh milk or eggs can be obtained. The journey to the center of Oberägeri or Unterägeri is not far. There you will find a wide variety of restaurants, shopping opportunities, and personal services. The new Ägeribad in Oberägeri offers plenty of space for sports and fun, has a warm outdoor pool, and a beautiful outdoor area right by the lake. This area is freely accessible in the summer. In the white shelf in the living room, you will find a selection of brochures with excursion possibilities in the vicinity (Rigi, Kinderparadies Hochstuckli, Tierpark Goldau, lake cruises on Lake Lucerne, etc.). Three restaurants in Morgarten itself can be reached with a 15-minute walk.

The flat is looked after by Mrs Esther Heger, who lives in the large farmhouse at Hauptseestr. 117. There is no handover, the key is in a box, the code will be given to you a few days in advance.

Grandios mit kleinen Ausnahmen
Lage und Ausstattung sind grandios mit akzeptablem Preis. Das Gäste-WC ist eine gute Ergänzung für das Bad. Dessen Duschtüre hat allerdings eine erneuerungsbedürftige Dichtungslippe an der Unterseite.
Das üppige und gemütliche Raumangebot hat uns zwei sehr gefallen.
Weniger gut war die erstmalige Erfahrung bei vielen genutzten Fewos,
das ein Wäschewechsel nicht vorgesehen war.
Üppig hingegen war das überreiche Angebot an Toilettenpapier, was nicht unbedingt üblich ist.
Unüblich und erstmalig ist es hingegen, wenn für den Kurbeitrag keine Gästekarte zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Für 1,50 Fr/Person standen somit keine nutzbaren geldwerten Leistungen gegenüber. Deren Auflistung fanden wir irgendwann beim Sichten des umfangreichen Info-Materials; praktischen Nutzen hatte das allerdings auch nicht.

Dreamlike domicile
The accommodation is simply great: blooming meadows and a wonderful scent of hay, along with the gentle sound of cows or sheep. In the morning, the view of the Alps and in the evening, the sunset over the lake. All around, there is a full variety of hiking options from easy to challenging, with something for every age group. A refreshing dip in the incredibly clear lake rounds off the hiking tours and allows the vacationer to enter the evening feeling refreshed. For questions, there is direct and quick contact with the very nice landlord.

We immediately felt comfortable in the beautifully, cozy, and practically furnished apartment with spacious terraces - especially the unobstructed dream view over the entire lake and into the Alps. Swimming in the lake under the house, great hiking opportunities, and within a 30-minute distance, the picturesque Zug on the lake, the impressive monastery in Einsiedeln, and many excursion locations with breathtaking views of the lakes in Central Switzerland!

I am a retired teacher and spent the holiday weeks and weekends of my childhood here in Morgarten, together with my 4 siblings. We had very close contact with the farming family and their 10 children. So I am deeply connected to the holiday house I inherited from my parents and I am still in contact with my childhood friends and their families. I live in Zurich Unterstrass, a good residential area, very close to where I grew up. I live with my partner. My twin sons have long since grown up and live in their own households. I have been a grandmother for a few years and I am happy that my granddaughter, grandson and nephew also enjoy spending time here. I am happy that I am always allowed to host guests and that they usually share my enthusiasm for this place.
