The forest house is made of wood and has about 85 sqm of living space. This is divided into a kitchen with parlor, a double bedroom with separate beds, a gallery with 3 sleeping places, and a living room with an additional sleeping place. In front of the house to the southeast, there is a small terrace with a corner bench, perfect for cozy barbecue evenings together. On cooler evenings, you can use the two wood stoves and snuggle up comfortably.

The forest house accommodates up to 6 people. Basic equipment:
• Washing machine
• 2-burner electric hotplate + additional 2-burner electric hotplate
• Refrigerator
• Coffee machine
• Electric kettle

Dogs are very welcome!
For the first dog I charge a flat fee of €40 per stay, each additional dog costs €25.

Location and surroundings of object

The wooden house is located in the middle of the forest on a perfectly maintained forest road. Silence guaranteed (perhaps interrupted by birds, deer, or the flutter of a butterfly’s wings, …)
Okay, there are also hikers and mushroom pickers, and now and then a single car passes by. The forest house is located in the Gegendtal in Carinthia, in the municipality of Afritz am See. In the immediate vicinity are Lake Afritz (3 min) and Lake Brenn (8 min). Lake Millstatt is about a 20-minute drive away, as is Lake Ossiach.

additional information about rental price:

The price is valid for an occupancy of up to 3 persons, for each additional person we charge € 10,-/day.
The local tax of € 1,80/per day and per person are not included in the price.

Tenants MUST leave the Waldhaus clean, just as they found it. We are not a hotel, but a self-catering forest house and cannot offer a total package. The € 50 obligatory includes all organisational and service costs, as well as the simple touch-up to a consistent s-level by our pearl Lotte.

Cancellation terms:

You will be refunded half of the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 7 days before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock midday CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 7 days before check-in there will be no refund.
