Our holiday flat for 2 persons is located on the outskirts of the small Eifel village Hinterweiler (210 inhabitants) at the foot of the Ernstberg 699m. It therefore offers a variety of different excursion possibilities.
Here you can still find untouched, unique nature.
Various hiking trails invite you to go hiking, for example the Volcano Trail, which leads around the local Ernstberg with its caves, the Lieser Trail or the Eifel Trail.
Cyclists and mountain bikers get their money's worth on the Maare-Mosel cycle path or the Eifel-Höhen route.
In addition to bicycle hire, Daun offers other sights and shopping opportunities.
The hallmarks of the Eifel are the Maare (the craters formed by former volcanic activity).
These invite you to go swimming, boating or hiking on circular trails.
The village of Berlingen (4 km on foot) offers a zipline facility for swinging from treetop to treetop.
There is also mini-golf, football billiards and much more.
Other nice excursion destinations include Gerolstein with its Gerolstein Dolomites, the Buchenholz Cave, the Church of the Redeemer and the Kasselburg Eagle and Wolf Park, as well as trips to the Nürburgring or the Moselle with its small towns.
Near Hinterweiler ( approx. 1 km ) is a small airfield for light aircraft, which offers the possibility of Eifel round flights with trike/ hang-glider.
In winter there is the possibility of cross-country skiing with an attractive network of trails on the Ernstberg.

Holiday apartment "At the Pond"
The holiday apartment met our expectations and we (3 people) found everything we needed for daily life. The apartment was tidy and clean. Antje, as the contact person, was friendly and accommodating. My two kids were allowed to play in the garden, eat the blueberries, and were happy about the playground within walking distance. We can recommend the neighboring village of Berlingen with the Eifel Adventures. We were able to reach a destination in the surrounding area every day. hiking and relaxing in the early evening.
