Description

The holiday home is quietly located on the edge of the Porta Isola villa park and has a very beautiful garden that offers a lot of privacy. The garden is fenced.

The house was newly renovated in 2020, the floors (parquet, laminate, tiles) were renewed, the shower room on the upper floor as well as the guest toilet on the ground floor were completely renovated. Between 2022 and 2024, a large part of the interior was renovated, an air conditioning unit was installed, and the awning was renewed; in 2025, the kitchen, terrace door, and garden fences were renewed; in 2024, the roof was newly coated and a solar system was installed.

The house offers 2 parking spaces and has a living area of 85 sqm and is suitable for up to 4 people. The house is non-smoking. Wi-Fi is available in the house free of charge. On the ground floor there is a small hallway with a wardrobe, the comfortably furnished living room with a sofa area, smart TV, internet radio, DVD/Blu-ray player, a dining area and the open kitchen with gas stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator with ***** freezer compartment as well as other electrical appliances (kettle, egg cooker, blender, coffee machine (filter, pad)). In the utility room you will find a washing machine, dryer, air fryer and electric grill, iron and ironing board, as well as various garden accessories. There you can store your bicycles if needed. On the lower floor there is also a separate toilet.

A typical Dutch staircase (a bit steeper than you may be used to in Germany) leads you to the upper floor, where there are two bedrooms for 2 people each. In both rooms you will find plenty of storage space in the wardrobes. In the larger bedroom there is an air conditioner, in case there are hot summer days. In the larger bedroom you will also find a cozy relaxation corner. In each of the bedrooms, one of the windows is fitted with an insect screen. The bathroom has a glass-enclosed shower, a washbasin with generous storage space, and a mirrored cabinet.

You can access the beautiful private garden with spacious terrace from the living room. Here you will find two sun loungers as well as a table and chairs for 4 people. The large electric awning provides shade.

The park itself invites you to stroll; within a few meters you reach the Maas Lake De Kis, where you can walk along the constructed footpath or relax on one of the benches. Of course, there is also a small beach and a sunbathing lawn.

Are you traveling with children? Then visit the various playgrounds in the park or let your children dig in the sand on the beach of the Maas lake or build sandcastles. You will also find a table tennis table directly opposite the house.

From the holiday home you can walk through the park to the marina. It is wonderful to watch the beautiful boats from the quay. Right behind the entrance to the park there is a restaurant, where in the summer months you can relax on the beautifully situated terrace, enjoy coffee and cake, a small snack, or a delicious dinner. In less pleasant weather, the restaurant’s conservatory invites you to linger.

Location and surroundings of object

The Tamore holiday home is located in the heart of Limburg, directly on the Maasplassen on the outskirts of Stevenswert and in the immediate vicinity of the marina in the Porta Isola villa park.

The Maasplassen are one of Limburg's many pearls. The Maas Lakes are an extensive, interconnected network of large and small lakes created by gravel extraction. Covering an area of over 3000 hectares, it is the largest contiguous water sports area in the Netherlands.

Stevensweert and Ohé en Laak together form the island in the Meuse. The Meuse is also the border to Belgium here. Stevensweert is one of the most beautiful villages in Limburg. Originally, Stevensweert was a fortified town, which is also reflected in the streetscape. The main attraction is the town centre itself.

In Stevensweert you can visit the Hompesche Molen, the highest mill in Limburg, built in 1722. The Molenplas nature park is in the immediate vicinity. This invites you to go hiking or bird watching. Galloway cattle and Konik horses live in the park. There is a stone bridge and a bird watching tower. Maybe you feel like visiting the sensational ice cream parlour in Ohe en Laak "IJssalon Laaker Boere ies". You will not be disappointed.

From Stevensweert you can go on beautiful walking and cycling tours. Thorn - the white city on the Maas - is worth a visit. Here you should definitely visit the Pannekoekenhaus

The national park "De Meinweg" is also not far away and invites you to go on hiking or cycling tours.

If you want to go shopping, you can do so in Echt (Jumbo, Aldi), about 5 km away, or in Maasbracht (Lidl, Plus). A small shop where you can also get fresh bread rolls from Monday to Saturday is located in the centre of Stevensweert. Maaseik in Belgium is also not far away (11 km). Maasmechelen is about 35 km away and you can visit the outlet there. This is also possible on the Dutch side in the designer outlet Roermond (about 20 km away). Don't forget the old town of Roermond, with its restaurants and bars and nice shops.

Valkenburg or Maastricht (approx. 40 km away) are also worth a detour

People come to Valkenburg to discover the mines and caves with drawings dating back to Roman times; another attraction is the ruins of Valkenburg Castle and the many restaurants and small shops

Maastricht, with Belgium to the west and the German border only a few kilometres away to the east, is the capital of Limburg. Maastricht is undoubtedly one of the most popular shopping destinations in the Netherlands. The "French flair" and the city's location on the river Maas are particularly beautiful. Some shops are even located directly on the riverbank. The "Vrijthof" square is a particularly good starting point for a shopping trip, from where you can explore the "Grote Staat" pedestrian zone with its countless large and small (side) streets. Almost all shops and business areas are open 7 days a week. The area around the Stokstraat is absolutely worth mentioning: chic boutiques and small eateries have settled in the narrow alleys and restored houses from the 17th and 18th centuries. The most famous market in Maastricht takes place on the square of the same name, the Markt. Surrounded by the imposing town hall and stately mansions, traders sell their wares every Wednesday (200 stalls) and Friday (300 stalls).

Of course, you can also rent boats or bicycles, including e-bikes, on site.

Whether by car, on foot, by bike or even by water, there is always something to do. Let yourself be enchanted by the beautiful landscape at the Meuse lakes and the beautiful towns of the Limburg region.

Short vacation

In the Tamore holiday home, you can feel completely at ease; it is furnished with a lot of love. The cleanliness is also noteworthy, and nothing is missing. A very nice terrace also invites you to relax. The contact with the landlords is also very positive—they are available at any time for questions or problems. We will definitely come back!

Holiday home for feeling good

We spent three beautiful days in this lovingly furnished holiday home. It was very cozy and the amenities left nothing to be desired. We were welcomed with a folder full of information and a welcome drink. As a starting point for bike tours, this house, located in a quiet holiday home settlement, was ideal.
Conclusion: We liked it very much and it is definitely recommendable.

First, cozy and complete holiday home

A cozy house, neatly maintained and super clean. Nice to be able to use all the appliances, herbs, etc. in the kitchen. The attention that was ready is greatly appreciated. Accordingly, we have made the house cosy according to our taste with loving details and not as usual "only functional" for guest rental. So you should find everything you need in everyday life. The kitchen equipment is very generous, you will find all common electrical appliances and cooking utensils We feel very comfortable in our holiday home and hope and wish that you will feel the same.
