The 5.5 room holiday home with garden and panoramic view offers spacious living for 6 people. A living space of approx. 190 m2 distributed over two floors awaits you. Entrance with spacious hallway and staircase. On this floor there are two bedrooms and a bathroom with toilet. The upper floor from where you have a beautiful view is dedicated to the living area. Living, dining room with open kitchen. Cosy modern living area with open fireplace, flat screen TV and dining table for 6 people. Through the large sliding doors you reach the balcony which is also equipped with tables and chairs. From the balcony you reach the well-kept garden with spacious lawn, pergola and barbecue area. Due to the proximity to the forest, the use of the barbecue is only allowed if there is no prohibition in Ticino. The pizza oven and table grill are not functional and therefore not available for use.
Furthermore, there are two more bedrooms on this floor with exit to the balcony, as well as a bathroom with shower and two washbasins. Generous built-in cupboards in the hallway complete the offer. Private parking space for 1 to 2 cars directly at the street. The house is only accessible by stairs (approx. 70 steps).

The holiday house is situated below the village of Monte Brè at 965 m above sea level, about 20 minutes by car from Locarno (not to be confused with Monte Brè Lugano). Ideal starting point for many hikes, mountain bike tours and excursions, as well as for quiet and relaxing holidays for nature lovers far away from hectic and traffic. You will find shopping facilities and a bakery in Locarno-Monti or Orselina about 5 km away.

We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay in this beautiful house, located in a quiet area in the mountains above Locarno. The view of Lake Maggiore, the Brissago Islands, and the surrounding valleys is simply magnificent, whether from the large balcony or the adjoining terrace garden on the first floor. The house is very well laid out and nicely decorated. We found it to be in perfect cleanliness. The lovely open kitchen, very well equipped and organized, is rich in dishes, accessories of all kinds, household products, spices, and condiments. House and bath linens are provided in sufficient quantities, and liquid soap is available at each sink. The only downside is that to reach this eagle's nest, one must take the via Monte-Brè, a very narrow and winding road for about 5 km from Locarno Monti (approximately 20 minutes by car from the center of Locarno). A vehicle is therefore essential. From the 2 private parking spaces on the roadside, you still have to climb a fairly steep staircase of 70 steps to access the property. But this effort is more than compensated by the beautiful location and the comfort of this house!

Very modern (with underfloor heating) and well-maintained house with a fantastic view. Relaxing peace and quiet. Also a playful place for our two children (10 and 7 years old). As former forest school students, they immediately found the right forest paths. The access to the house requires appropriate driving skills (probably more normal for Swiss people) and a normal level of fitness for climbing the stairs to the house. We really enjoyed our stay. Building such a house into the hillside was surely a huge challenge. I am amazed at the effort that was put into this many years ago. The house appears renovated, has modern technology, and is in tip-top condition.

A very beautiful house with a spectacular view. The access road is partially very narrow (single lane). If you have some patience and know the size of your car, the route is also manageable with an SUV (like our Hyundai Tucson). The way is definitely worth it. The house itself is equipped quite well. Bedding and towels are provided. The only downside may be the rather hard double bed in the upper floor. The staff of Fewo is very helpful and uncomplicated. It was no problem to spontaneously add an additional person for 2 days. We would love to come back!

Very nice and quiet apartment. The lawn/garden area with a view of the lake is particularly beautiful. The road to the holiday home is also very narrow over long distances. You may have to reverse and head for the next parking bay in case of oncoming traffic! However, there is little traffic. Beautiful hiking trails and mountain tours, also suitable for the inexperienced, are possible from here. The bed in the upper area is a bit hard. The kitchen is very well equipped and modern. The upper bathroom is very nice. The view from the balcony is fantastic. 71 steps lead from the parking lot to the entrance door! This should be noted. Except for the lower neighbors, it is very lonely here! On-site support was not required. The conversation with the agency was friendly and uncomplicated.

The house is very well organized and nicely decorated. We found it in perfect cleanliness. The pretty open kitchen, very well equipped and tidy, is rich in dishes, accessories of all kinds, cleaning products, spices, and condiments. Household linens and towels are provided in sufficient quantities, and liquid soap is available at each sink.
The only drawback is that to reach this eagle's nest, you have to take the via Monte-Brè, a very narrow and winding road for about 5 km from Locarno Monti (about 20 minutes by car from the center of Locarno). A vehicle is therefore essential. From the 2 private parking spaces by the road, you still have to climb a fairly steep staircase of 70 steps to access the property. But this effort is well rewarded by the magnificent location and the comfort of this house!

Wonderful hiking trails and mountain tours are possible from here, even for the inexperienced.
The bed on the upper floor is a bit hard. The kitchen is very well equipped and very modern. The upstairs bathroom is very nice. The view from the balcony is magnificent. 71 steps lead from the car park to the front door ! This has to be taken into account. Except for the downstairs neighbours, one is very lonely here !
We did not use the on-site support. The conversation with the agency was friendly and uncomplicated.

Building a house like this on a slope was certainly a huge challenge. I am amazed at the effort that was put into it many years ago. The house looks renovated, has modern technology and is in tip-top condition.
