Description
At 1600 meters altitude in the Tux Alps stands the traditionally preserved old hut with a view of the mountain scenery. You can expect a sensory rush of nature, where alpine flowers, chirping birds, and grazing goats decorate your holiday. In the old parlor with dining area, there is a wood stove that provides cozy warmth for the whole hut thanks to its storage capacity. Instead of a refrigerator, there is, as in earlier times, a pantry or storage room. The well in front of the hut is an excellent drink cooler. The so-called outhouse is next door and, thanks to modern sewage technology, even the pit toilet is no longer a smell barrier. The solar shower is installed in its original state and only the small flock of goats watches. The gentle tinkling of the bells provides a calming effect on the soul. The hut can be reached by car from the beginning of May until autumn; on foot, you can get there from the Innerst Weerberg parking lot. Please note that in winter the water source freezes and therefore there is no running water in the hut. During these months, water is boiled on the wood stove (Wassergrander). In front of the hut there is a running fountain even in winter.

It was wonderful!
It was so beautiful in the Gilferthütte! We were very well received by Martina and Peter. During our days in the Gilferthütte, there was a lot of snow. Therefore, the valley view was very beautiful. The hut is really very cozy and totally quiet because the neighbors are far away.
We would like to come back!

Authentic chalet from the time
The peace and quiet relax immediately. The view of the mountains and the presence of the goats and sheep create a romantic atmosphere. You have to take the flies with you, which is not always comfortable. It is worth it in any case ❤️

A rustic dream!
The Gilferthütte offers the traveler seeking peace, authenticity, nature experience, and relaxation everything they need - and more... Martina is a true treasure as a landlord! Friendly, pleasant, warm, and uncomplicated. It's also great that the hut, despite its old age - in an outbuilding - has a cozy, modern shower room. The secluded location is dreamlike with a fantastic view. We will definitely linger here more often!!!

Idyll on the mountain
If you like it rustic and lonely, this is the place for you. This small mountain idyll is located in the middle of the beautiful Alps. The furnishings are rustic and cosy and we wanted for nothing. The constant supply of fresh spring water and the restful tranquillity left a lasting impression on us. Breakfast is enjoyed in front of the house with a unique view of the valley. We felt like grandfather with his Heidi here for a few days ;-). The hike directly from the house to the Gilfert summit is an absolute must. Last but not least, the very friendly hosts Martina and Peter made our stay an unforgettably great experience. Thanks for the great time!
Plus point: In the snow-free season, you can reach the house directly by car.
