Description
At 1600 meters altitude in the Tux Alps stands the traditionally preserved old hut with a view of the mountain scenery. You can expect a sensory rush of nature, where alpine flowers, chirping birds, and grazing goats decorate your holiday. In the old parlor with dining area, there is a wood stove that provides cozy warmth for the whole hut thanks to its storage capacity. Instead of a refrigerator, there is, as in earlier times, a pantry or storage room. The well in front of the hut is an excellent drink cooler. The so-called outhouse is next door and, thanks to modern sewage technology, even the pit toilet is no longer a smell barrier. The solar shower is installed in its original state and only the small flock of goats watches. The gentle tinkling of the bells provides a calming effect on the soul. The hut can be reached by car from the beginning of May until autumn; on foot, you can get there from the Innerst Weerberg parking lot. Please note that in winter the water source freezes and therefore there is no running water in the hut. During these months, water is boiled on the wood stove (Wassergrander). In front of the hut there is a running fountain even in winter.

Arrive, breathe ... be happy!
Great rustic mountain hut with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Clean, good amenities, great location with a fantastic panoramic view of the mountains. Very nice hosts. You really can't put it into words... you have to experience it yourself. The ringing of the goat bells makes the hut vacation perfect.

A beautiful break in the mountains
We spent 6 nights in the Gilferthütte and really felt very comfortable there. The location is simply something special, right in the mountains, absolute peace, and a beautiful view.
The hut is simply and rusticly furnished, and that is exactly how it is perfect. Everything you need is there. We particularly enjoyed the sheep and goats right in front of the hut, whose bells you could hear again and again. Lighting the wood stove in the evening and simply enjoying the peace had something very special about it.
The contact with the owners was also very friendly and reliable.
For us, it was just right to completely switch off for a few days. We would definitely come back.

Glorious short break
Dear Martina, we really enjoyed our short stay! You have created a very beautiful and extraordinary place to relax. The cabin is rustic, very nice, and very clean. Sitting outside on the terrace in the morning, drinking coffee, and watching the many birds for which you have provided feeding opportunities was very relaxing. We would love to come back!

Fantastic time off
Heartfelt landlord who has created a paradise piece by piece with a lot of love and time. We were able to enjoy our time in this magical place very much, leave everyday life behind, and have a wonderful vacation. We will come back. Thank you very much for the break.

Die Hütte ist einfach und urig eingerichtet und genau so ist sie perfekt. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Besonders gefallen haben uns die Schafe und Ziegen direkt vor der Hütte, deren Glocken man immer wieder gehört hat. Abends den Holzofen anzumachen und einfach die Ruhe zu genießen, hatte schon etwas ganz Besonderes.
Der Kontakt mit den Eigentümern war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und zuverlässig.
Für uns genau das Richtige, um ein paar Tage komplett abzuschalten. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
Wir mögen gerne zurückkommen!

Tolle Lage und super liebe Gastgeber!
Wer Natur und Ruhe liebt, ist hier genau richtig...
Angefangen von der herzlichen Begrüßung der Gastgeber, Tipps für Ausflüge/Wanderungen, morgendliche Spaziergänge im Wald bis hin zu gemeinsamen Kaffee und Feierabend Bier.
Was für eine schöne Zeit!
Man fühlt von Beginn bis zum Ende des Aufenthalts, dass die Gastgeber samt Familie mit Herz und Seele die Hütte bewirtschaften. Und das macht diese Auszeit ganz besonders!
Mein persönliches Highlight waren die schönen Gespräche mit der Familie über Gott und die Welt (wie man in Österreich sagt), Beobachtung der Goaslein, die Wanderungen, und der tägliche Ausblick/ Sonnenuntergang.

Pluspunkt: In der schneefreien Zeit erreicht man das Haus direkt mit dem Auto.
