Description

Viking's Nest Ylva in Heide near Büsum for small and large Viking friends.

This generously sized holiday flat with 2 bedrooms, living room facing the garden, 2 bathrooms (shower room, full bath), kitchen, equalising hallways is a flat in an almost central location.

Attention: Non-smoking apartment
Smoking is not permitted in the apartment/house. The same applies to the use of candles, incense sticks, fondue sets and similar burning, smoking, sooty items. If required, the garden is available for smoking etc.

The rooms of the non-smoking accommodation were newly equipped in spring/summer 2022.


Living room:
In the communal living room there is a double and a triple couch with coffee table. There is also a small table and a sideboard with wine, champagne and beer glasses.

A TV offers the opportunity to watch films in a relaxed atmosphere.
For bookworms of all ages, there is suitable lighting and cushions to make you comfortable.
The partly handmade maritime decoration, a beautiful picture with sea motif as well as the brightness of the room increase the holiday feeling every day.
Nature lovers will enjoy the view of blackbirds, wagtails and sparrows looking for food in the partly unmown grass.


Single or couple room:
In the cosy single or couple room you will find the cosy 1.40 m bed, a single-door mirrored wardrobe with clothes hangers and a chest of drawers with several drawers for storing laundry.
An adjacent bedside cabinet is available for the little things of the day/night.
Wall-mounted and standing decorations complete the picture.

From the room one comes directly into the full bathroom with 2nd WC and mirror cabinet. Only this room has direct access to the full bathroom.


Double room:
The spacious double room with 1.80 m wide sleeping accommodation is equipped with a 2-door wardrobe, multi-loaded sideboard and cosy reading corner with rocking chair, lighting and reading table.
If you are travelling with a small child, a stationary cot (60 x 120 cm) including bed linen is already available. Then the reading corner quickly becomes a reading corner.
In addition to the tasteful decoration, there are 2 bedside tables.


Kitchen:
In the equipped kitchenette you will find:
- Crockery, bowls and cutlery
- Pots and pans
- Toaster, kettle, blender
- Cleaning products for the flat

The appliances include a fridge with freezer compartment, induction hob and oven.
There is also a dishwasher in a comfortable 60 cm width.

The kitchen offers seating for 5 adults. If required, there is also room for the high chair for children.


Shower room:
The shower room is equipped with a shower with sliding door, toilet, washbasin, mirror and storage space.
Although not large, it hopefully scores with the small window, the additional exhaust air, the towel radiator as well as the FI socket and a hairdryer.


Bathroom with bathtub:
As described above, the full bathroom is accessible through the single or couple room. It has a 2nd WC.
In addition to the bathtub with a device for showering, there is a washbasin with an illuminated mirror cabinet.
The window of the bathroom can be opened in turn-tilt function.
There is a shelf and a ground fault circuit interrupter (FI) socket


Hallways:
The entrance hallway is equipped with a wardrobe and decoration suitable for Vikings.
Recessed drawers offer space for keys or the little helpers of the day

Free use of the washing machine/ clothes horse.


Something sustainable and digital shutdown ?

We have:

- we have a W-Lan connection and TV in the living room, but no TV screens in the bedrooms:
- No TV screens in the bedrooms.
- No radio clocks or radio meters for heating and water.
- No smart home devices in the kitchen.
- No electric heaters or mushroom heaters based on industrial gas for outside.

Despite our urban location, we offer:

- Natural lawns that do not need fertilisers/chemicals.
- Living beech hedges, with or without nests depending on the season.
- A wild, secluded corner with all kinds of buzzing and crawling insects, possibly with hedgehogs.
- Occasionally wild herbs that are neither thermally nor chemically destroyed.
- Climbing plants used by native bird species, various species of bees, wasps, bumblebees, etc.
- Instead of a mushroom heater (industrial gas) we offer a fire bowl together with some dry and renewable firewood.
(The use of the fire bowl depends on the weather and wind conditions)
- A garden without a dog litter box.
- 4-fold waste separation.

Our ground floor holiday flat is situated in an urban location on a partly natural property for romping, playing and barbecuing with the family.
Children are welcome here.

Location and surroundings of object

Between the North Sea and the Kiel Canal. This very spacious holiday flat is located on the ground floor of a house with 2 rentable units.

Shopping facilities for the day, petrol stations, bakeries and restaurants (500 to 800 metres) can be reached by car almost every minute.
The holiday home has 2 parking spaces on the property.

In the immediate vicinity there are other residential buildings, the master craftsman's training workshop including boarding school as well as a regional school.

For smaller children, the playground surrounded by greenery at the city park is 600 m away and can be reached quickly
Also within walking distance (700 m) and almost next to the playground are the swimming pool of the city of Heide and a miniature golf course (500 m) on the edge of the forest

From the centre of Heide you can reach the seaside resorts of Büsum, Sankt Peter- Ording, Friedrichskoog- Spitze.
Easy access by car on the A23 motorway.
The train station is approx. 1200 metres away.

Cancellation terms:

  • You will be refunded the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 4 days before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 4 days before check-in, you will be refunded 50% of the booking amount minus the price for the first night and the cancellation fee.

The district town of Heide, the end of the A 23 motorway (Hamburg - Heide), is the central town on the southern west coast of Schleswig-Holstein.
Dithmarschen, whose district capital is Heide, is considered an island by the locals. In addition to the Eider and Elbe rivers in the north and south, the district is bordered to the east by the North Sea-Baltic Sea Canal and to the west by the Blanken Hans (the North Sea).
Each of these district borders has its charm.
In the north lies the Dutch town of Friedrichstadt with its canals.
In the south, the Elbe waterway leads towards Hamburg. Huge ships can be admired there on the banks of the Elbe and at the Brunsbüttel lock
You can get even closer to countless ships on the eastern border of the district. The NOK with its green embankments makes the big ships seem close enough to touch.
And finally the west coast between the Eider and the Elbe.
The Wesselburener Koog, Büsum with its beaches and harbour, the cathedral town of Meldorf with its offshore Speicherkoog, Friedrichskoog- Spitze with its seal breeding station and beach all offer variety for the interested visitor.
In the midst of these tourist opportunities lies the technical college town of Heide with what is probably Germany's largest market place.

Those looking for more variety in Dithmarschen will certainly find their way to the Stone Age village near Albersdorf or have fun on a trolley ride through nature on the Marschbahn
Day trippers visit Germany's only high-sea island, Helgoland, from Büsum. By ship, of course :-)

Hello dear holidaymakers, we are the Habermann family from beautiful, rural Dithmarschen. We live only one village away from the Viking's Nest Ylva and are therefore always on site at short notice, if it is desired or necessary. Born and raised here, we have known our little island of Dithmarschen since childhood. We would be happy to pass on one or two holiday tips about the region to you. Our newly furnished holiday flat was prepared in family work. As a private landlord, we are also independent in the management. We do all the work ourselves, from the final cleaning, care of the property, handing over, drawing up the tenancy agreement, etc. If you like our beautiful town of Heide as a central holiday location for many round-trip activities, we would like to welcome you to our Viking Nest Ylva.
