The holiday home (non-smoking) with panoramic view is located at the edge of the village with a view of the Brotjacklriegel. Hiking trails start approx. 100 m from the house, including the premium hiking trail Goldsteig. From the holiday home you look out onto the local mountain (Brotjacklriegel) and the Sonnenwald. The living area is approx. 170 sqm and very modernly furnished. 2 x Smart TV. Free Wi-Fi. On each floor there is a bedroom and a bathroom. On the upper floor there is an additional living room and bedroom. Parking spaces in front of the house as well as a garage and a storage area for bicycles are also available to you. Internet speed: 100 mbit. The terrace (south side) is approx. 100 sqm (fenced), as is the adjoining approx. 600 sqm garden. The fence is 1 m high. The house is at your exclusive disposal. The house has central heating (underfloor heating) and a pellet stove in the living room. In the living room, the underfloor heating can also be switched off separately; there is also a regular heater here. The house is at your exclusive disposal. The window blinds are electric. When booking for 2 people/1 bedroom, the upper floor remains closed. New: Sauna from 05.2026.

The Sonnenwald holiday home (south side) is located in a small settlement on the outskirts of Saldenburg/OT Hundsruck. Hiking trails start approx. 100 m from the house (including the Goldsteig trail). A cosy inn with an award-winning beer garden is also only 100 m away. From the holiday home you have a view of the local mountain (Brotjacklriegl) and the Sonnenwald. An Edeka shop, post office, bank, hairdresser, doctors, library, drinks market, petrol station and inns can be found in the centre of Thurmansbang (3km); also the Thurmansbang bathing lake Buchwiesweiher. Other local bathing lakes: Saldenburger See, Ebenreuther See and Dreiburgensee. The nearest towns are: Tittling and Eging as well as Grafenau (12 km) and Passau (25 km).

Perfect vacation home
All windows have practical, mostly electric shutters.
For our car, the double garage with electric door and remote control was available to us.
We particularly liked the great conservatory, from which one also has wonderful views of the wide countryside and can observe the fascinating sunsets.
The large, fully fenced property (without a loophole!) was a real paradise for our dog Max, who always had free run there and enjoyed it very much. It was also very relaxing for us because you can always keep an eye on the property from the house.
The extremely friendly and likable landlord, Mrs. Andrea Hackl, welcomed us upon arrival for the key handover after a prior phone agreement and explained everything important to us. That was a very pleasant start to our vacation.
We give 5 out of 5 possible stars for all criteria and are happy to recommend the house.

Very good!!!

Beautiful holiday home!!!
We lacked nothing here during our three weeks of vacation. And if we did, dear Andrea would have certainly taken care of it quickly. We have nothing to complain about!!

Better doesn't get any better.
In this beautiful, large, and cozy holiday home, we lacked nothing. After the warm welcome from the landlady with flowers from the lovely little garden and a "sweet greeting," we felt immediately at home. The good excursion tips led us to many beautiful and unforgettable trips, such as the Wackelstein, the Great Arber with Arbersee, and the treetop path in Neuschönau. Also worth seeing are the glassblowers in Zwiesel! On cool evenings, the pellet stove could quickly heat things up.
We would love to come again, as there is still much to see in the Bavarian Forest.
It is already certain that we will stay in Hackl's holiday home again!
