Description
On approx. 30 sqm, the small, cosy flat offers enough space for two people. It is located under the roof of an over 100-year-old East Frisian Gulf farm in the idyllic village location of the Warfendorf Pilsum. In the separate kitchen there is the possibility to prepare a nice breakfast and/or delicious meals. In the adjoining living room and bedroom there is space to eat, sleep, relax or watch TV. You can get the bread rolls for breakfast in the small village shop, about 2 minutes walk from the flat (Mon.-Sat. from 7.00 - 10.00 am). At the same distance there is also a very nice restaurant with an outdoor terrace (Die Alte Brauerei), a good alternative if you don't want to cook. It is also only a stone's throw to the outskirts of the village with direct access to open fields and a well-developed network of cycle paths. Just outside you will find the cheese farm with its own cheese production and farm shop.

Location and surroundings of object
Pilsum is one of the 19 warf villages of the Krummhörn, about 4 km from Greetsiel. The famous Pilsum lighthouse (also known as the Otto lighthouse) stands between Pilsum and Greetsiel. Via a paved farm track you can reach the North Sea dyke at Diekskiel in a distance of 2 km on foot, by bicycle or by car. The accommodation is centrally located but also almost on the edge of the village in the Loogstraat (village street) of Pilsum. In a 2-minute walk you can reach the village centre with a small village market and the Alte Brauerei restaurant, as well as the famous 12th century Kreuzkirche. The surrounding meadows and fields as well as numerous cycle paths are also only a few minutes' walk from the flat. The bus stop with connections to Greetsiel and Emden is about a 5-minute walk away.

Pilsum and the surrounding area offer numerous opportunities to spend a relaxing and/or active holiday. The seaport town of Emden with its famous art gallery, the Otto Museum and Norden / Norddeich with its extensive sandy beach, seal station and Ocean Wave fun pool can be reached from Pilsum in about 20 km. In Greetsiel, only 4 km away, with its famous shrimp cutter fleet, the historic gabled houses at the harbour and the two windmills, you can stroll and enjoy yourself. You can actively explore the Krummhörn by bike, on long walks along the dyke or on the water on the numerous canals, etc. There are also numerous offers for those interested in art and culture in the region. Pilsum has several galleries and a comedy cabaret. An excursion to Aurich or the Great Sea is also worthwhile. Trips to one of the 7 East Frisian islands are another highlight. The ferry from Norddeich, for example, takes you to the famous North Sea island of Norderney at hourly intervals every day from 7.00 am. From Emden you can take the ferry to Borkum, etc.

Cozy holiday apartment to feel good
Clean and well-maintained apartment for two with facilities that leave nothing to be desired.
The place with its East Frisian flair is a beautiful starting point for excursions in the surrounding area.
We felt very comfortable with the nice landlords. We would love to come back.

The landlords are very nice and helpful. The place Pilsum is pretty and quiet. From there, many destinations can be reached by bike.
