Casa Lucilia was rebuilt at the end of the 80's from a ruined house and recently renovated. It was designed by an architect so that the sun, when it is lower in the fall and winter months, can flood and warm the house, while in the summer the naturally insulated walls provide a comfortable indoor climate. Probably the most striking feature of the house is the patio with barbecue and the very large garden, which is terraced - a true paradise.
Casa Lucília has two bedrooms, a gallery with a double bed, a bathroom, a living and dining room and an open kitchen. Behind the house there are terraces with barbecue, places to sit, stay and lie down to enjoy the peace and quiet and the sun undisturbed. From the roof terrace of the house you have views of the rooftops of Ferragudo and the river Arade. The Algarve, the most beautiful beaches, crystal clear water, vibrant colors and 300 sunny days a year. Here is Ferragudo, a small fishing village, about 45 min from Faro airport. Although no guidebook in Portugal lacks a picture of the 'charming fishing village', it has preserved its ambience and has been spared from mass tourism. In the cobbled streets you will find tranquility and in the marketplace you will experience the southern serenity that guarantees a quiet and peaceful vacation. It is very tastefully furnished. A very well-kept garden area completes the harmonious picture. We recommend our clients to rent a car, because the Algarve as a whole is very worth seeing. The fishing village of Ferragudo is one of the most tranquil and inexpensive places in the Algarve. The maze of narrow streets and winding staircases gives a real, genuine impression of Portuguese mentality. In front of the whitewashed houses decorated with flowers, women often still wash their clothes, and at lunchtime sardines are grilled. In the "Aunt Emma shops" (mini-Mercados) the purchases are settled. The people are always friendly and helpful. In the market hall you can buy fresh fish, seafood and fruit every day. For bulk shopping, there is a Lidl supermarket at the entrance to town. Especially worth seeing is the small church in the upper part of the village. You have a wide view over the harbor entrance of Portimão and the Atlantic Ocean. Here you will not find sterile concrete blocks or impersonal hotel complexes, but luxurious villas, houses, cozy apartments and excellent resorts. The marketplace is the meeting place for locals and visitors. There are cozy cafes, small pubs and bars with beer gardens. Young people are also in good hands here. Here you will also find the post office, a bank and a wide variety of restaurants, from typical Portuguese to international cuisine.

The beaches of Ferragudo
In the estuary of the Rio Arade extends the extensive, fine-sand beach PRAIA GRANDE, which is separated from the open sea by the harbor breakwater. Further on, one reaches PRAIA DO MOLHE and PRAIA DA PINTADINHO. The most beautiful beach is PRAIA DOS CANEIROS. There you will find the distinctive rocky coves that are so typical of this coast. All the beaches have various beach bars. Not to forget the impressive cliff walks along the coast, which should be done preferably in the early morning.
