Simply great!

After 10 years, we were finally back at Casa R 30 - and it was great again. The house is absolutely well-maintained, the amenities are phenomenal, the landlords are nice and reliable, as are the local managers. The location is perfect for us, as we went diving just a few meters away. The place has developed a lot in tourism over the past years, but you hardly notice it in the house - simply wonderful. We would love to come back!

Simply recommended!

We were here for the first time and thrilled. The holiday home is lovingly furnished, you have a wonderful view of the well-kept garden and the sea! And with the rustling of palm leaves in front of the house, you really sleep great. The equipment of the house leaves nothing to be desired, everything is very tidy and well-kept. The location of the house is also great. It is centrally located (bakery, shopping facilities and also access to the sea are easily accessible on foot), and yet it is very quiet. In addition, there are the lovely neighbors who are available with advice and support, even provided us with fresh vegetables from their garden and always had an open ear for our children. The contact with the landlord was also very friendly and uncomplicated. We will come back !!

Summer vacation in Madeira 2023

The house in Canico de Baixo is located in an extremely quiet little street with a great sea view from the breakfast terrace. The beautifully landscaped garden also contributes greatly to well-being. The whole house gave us a feeling of comfort and cosiness.
Everything we needed for a longer holiday was available. We can only recommend this accommodation because of its excellent location (close to Funchal, close to the airport - but no aircraft noise!!!!!!!!!!!, shopping facilities, nearby beaches...).
The contact with the owner was always very helpful. We will definitely visit Madeira again (also because of the pleasant climate) and hopefully find "shelter" here again.

Highlight

Holiday home in a great location. Equipped with everything (and more) you need for your vacation. Good starting point to explore the island. Great handling with good support and tips on site. Mr. Hentschel took care of us from beginning to end. We felt very comfortable.

Beautiful holiday home in a great location

We spent our honeymoon here 31 years ago and felt comfortable in the house, on the terrace and in the garden. Especially the direct view to the sea impressed us again; also the quiet location contributed to a relaxing holiday. We found the location very good. there is a bus stop 6 minutes away from the house, from where we often went to Funchal. We recommend the bakery Reis Margos (approx. 7 minutes walk) with very tasty rolls etc., the local small tavernas (Ti Laura // Bar Rodriguez (Dolores) // Munchies Snack Bar). The newly developed beach promenade invites you to stroll along. Good shopping facilities in small supermarkets. Special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Recktenwald (German couple / neighbours) for their many helpful tips, their service and their cordiality.

A dream holiday home on a dream island!

We had thought long and hard about whether we should go on holiday at all during this time. What can I say: We didn't regret it for a minute. The hygiene rules were observed everywhere. Starting in the plane, at the airport, at the rental car agency and in the shops. Some of the rules were even stricter than in Germany. We felt safe the whole time.
When we saw and entered our holiday home for the first time, we were simply thrilled. The pictures don't lie. The furnishings are cosy, everything you need is there and everything is very, very clean! We enjoyed our time there very much. Especially the breakfast on the terrace with sea view was an absolute dream.

Dream holiday

This is the third time we have stayed in this beautiful holiday home and we already feel right at home. As they say, home is where you are automatically connected to the WiFi ;-). Everything you need is there: from towels to kitchen equipment to Bluetooth speakers with radio. The fact that we were not allowed to leave the property on the first evening until the result of the coronation test was in was not a problem. The view from the terrace is heavenly, you can relax and get in the mood for your holiday. And the Recktenwald family took care of our physical well-being in advance and filled our fridge. Many thanks for that!
Meanwhile, there are two supermarkets and even a bakery in the immediate vicinity. Several restaurants and bars are within walking distance and the bus connection to Funchal is also good and cheap. We are already looking forward to our next holiday!

It doesn't get any better than this!!!

We stayed in this beautiful house for the third (and definitely not the last) time for very good reasons: it is very well furnished and equipped with everything you need. With each visit we noticed further improvements and innovations. So the owners really do everything to give holidaymakers perfect accommodation. The location is perfect, the sea view always delightful. The surroundings take into account and meet the interests of holidaymakers without feeling like a tourist stronghold. The bus connections are very good. In short: it is simply perfect. And as a special bonus, the couple across the street takes care of everything and everyone. (ps.: we hope no one reads this, otherwise we won't be able to get any more appointments ourselves)

A little holiday paradise

We stayed in Hentschel's beautiful holiday home for the second time and again did nothing wrong. This time we spent two super relaxing weeks in this lovingly furnished and very well-maintained holiday home. We have just returned and are already thinking .....
The view from the terrace over the roofs of the houses opposite to the sea - more sea feeling is hardly possible
We were warmly looked after, if we wanted, by the Recktenwald couple again. This was a pure feel-good holiday! Thank you for everything!

Wonderfully relaxing holiday

We did not miss anything! The house is in a wonderfully quiet location with a fantastic view of the sea. The furnishings have everything you need and we slept wonderfully. The pick-up service from the airport worked great and Mr. Recktenwald also drove us to the nearest supermarket on Sunday to buy the essentials. There are a few bars and many restaurants nearby and it is not expensive either. We will definitely come back again!

Super holiday with optimal relaxation

Like last time, we didn't want to leave again. The happy hours on the terrace, surrounded by blossoming flowers, a view of the sea and swirling lizards on the stone wall made the holiday on the beautiful island complete.
The flat has everything you need, from a citrus juicer (which we used to squeeze fresh orange juice every morning), salad spinner and blender to a dishwasher and plenty of cutlery and crockery.
The household room offered facilities for washing, grilling and drying wet laundry and bathing shoes.
The contact with the Recktenwald family from diagonally across the street was great - we could turn to them with any concerns. And the many cats provided a good change of pace.
So: We will come again for a perfect holiday with optimal relaxation! Thank you very much!

House with sea view - simply wonderful

We fully agree with the reviews of our previous tenants and can only rave about the beautiful holiday home.
We have rented many holiday homes, but this is one of the best. In the price-performance ratio and in the loving care on site (Fam. Recktenwald - thank you) it is the winner.
The coffee machine worked perfectly, the toaster is wonderful and there are more cups, plates, glasses, cutlery, ... than the dishwasher can hold.
The radiators (infrared) are super, you can imagine colder months very cosy here.
Little things, such as fresh flowers on arrival, a small bottle of the typical Madeira wine, ... also contribute to the feeling of well-being.
We will definitely come back!

An all-round feel-good house with sea view

What can we say: it doesn't get any better than this! A lovely house, lovingly maintained, equipped with everything (really everything) you could want in a holiday home, a charming little garden with a perfectly integrated mini-terrace for two deck chairs, a cosy outdoor seating area right in front of the front door (ideal for breakfast).
And (also very important): Uncomplicated, very friendly rental process, a warm welcome by the neighbour who is always approachable on site if you have questions.
We have been to Madeira many times, but for the first time in the "Villa-Hentschel" - we will definitely come back!!!

Really first class!!!!!

Very well-equipped house with a full sea view and a beautifully landscaped garden. Good bus connections in the town and on the island. Several restaurants and a small supermarket quickly accessible. Excellent on-site support from the lovely neighbors across the street. A diverse and beautiful island with many opportunities for sports, hiking, and sightseeing. And a wonderfully balanced climate. Simply ideal for our vacation! And of course, we will gladly come back to this house where we immediately felt at home! THANK YOU!
