Our house "Casa R30" is located in a quiet location on the south coast of Madeira, in the sleepy seaside resort of Canico de Baixo. It has 2 bedrooms, each offering 2 people. In addition, a living / dining area, a kitchen, a patio, a terrace with sea views and a small garden. Cottage facilities: - 1 bedroom with box spring (king size bed) - 1 bedroom with twin beds - 1 bathroom with shower, toilet, sink - 1 kitchen with refrigerator, stove, sink, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc. - 1 living / dining area dining area, TV with international channels, music system Sony (CD, USB, Bluetooth), Internet (W-LAN), heating (infrared wave heating), table and chairs - 1 patio with washing machine and numerous storage facilities - 1 terrace with seating and sea views - 1 garden with deck -possibilities. The house is located in a central quiet location in the residential area of Canico de Baixo and has sea views. Bathing facilities, restaurants, bars, sports facilities, gym, squash, mountain biking, scuba diving, hiking, car rentals, beach promenade, shops,
ATM, bus stop, German doctor etc. Everything
reached on foot in 5-10 minutes.
More information on the sunny south coast of Madeira between the capital Funchal (about 7 km) and the airport at Santa Cruz (about 10 km) is Caniço de Baixo, the seafront district Caniços.
Caniço de Baixo is located in one of the best locations of Madeira with plenty of sunshine, making it the ideal location for a relaxing and fun-filled holiday.
Caniço with its flower gardens and palm trees, cozy restaurants, bars, shops and villas very popular, yet quiet. Romantic rocky coves, rocky terraces with stairs into the sea and the pebble beach for swimming in crystal clear waters or for a sunbath. Two local diving centers offer the opportunity to dive into the volcanic underwater scenery and the underwater national park. With a little luck even mantas and dolphins can be spotted. Of particular note is also the beautiful and varied fauna. The waterfront promenade invites for an evening stroll. Two golf courses are within about 15 minutes. The Old Town Caniços with countless shops is about 30 minutes walk away on a mountainside. From Caniço from the island can be explored by bus or rental car.

Great accommodation
Our stay in this house was fantastic. The location by the sea was simply dreamy. The amenities left nothing to be desired. The host was always friendly and helpful, making us feel completely welcome. The garden is very well-maintained and invites relaxation. A shout-out to Ms. Recktenwald, on-site, who was always there with advice and assistance. We are already looking forward to the next time. Overall, it was the best house we had rented in Madeira.

Dream vacation for the 5th time in the Casa R 30
Now for the 5th time, we spent our vacation on the beautiful island of Madeira in the cozy house of the Hentschel family. We are always thrilled by the beautiful location, the wonderful view of the sea, and the garden with the purple blooming bougainvillea right in front of us. The house is very comfortably furnished, and it has everything we need. We repeatedly benefit from the juicer to make fresh orange juice every morning. The apartment is clean and tidy. The patio is very practical for setting things down. It is easy to start activities all over the island from the house with a rental car, scooter, or bus. Communication with Mr. Hentschel is straightforward, and he responds very quickly to concerns.
So: We will come back for a 6th time. . . . .

Wellness house in Madeira, simply perfect!
The furnishings of the house are above average, everything is perfectly clean and well-maintained.
The kitchen has everything you need, the bedrooms have excellent mattresses with toppers. The bathroom, although without a window, is well-ventilated.
The dining and living room is well equipped, and the existing technology is up to date.
All windows and doors have insect protection screens!
The south-facing terrace offers a great view and is a popular place to stay all day. Also the garden with 2 loungers and a sun umbrella.
The contact with the landlord, Mr. Hentschel, was friendly and uncomplicated.
The support on-site by the Recktenwald family significantly contributes to the comfort of the holiday home. For all questions, there are competent contacts who are extremely friendly and warm.
We would love to come back.

Simply great!
After 10 years, we were finally back at Casa R 30 - and it was great again. The house is absolutely well-maintained, the amenities are phenomenal, the landlords are nice and reliable, as are the local managers. The location is perfect for us, as we went diving just a few meters away. The place has developed a lot in tourism over the past years, but you hardly notice it in the house - simply wonderful. We would love to come back!

Simply recommended!
We were here for the first time and thrilled. The holiday home is lovingly furnished, you have a wonderful view of the well-kept garden and the sea! And with the rustling of palm leaves in front of the house, you really sleep great. The equipment of the house leaves nothing to be desired, everything is very tidy and well-kept. The location of the house is also great. It is centrally located (bakery, shopping facilities and also access to the sea are easily accessible on foot), and yet it is very quiet. In addition, there are the lovely neighbors who are available with advice and support, even provided us with fresh vegetables from their garden and always had an open ear for our children. The contact with the landlord was also very friendly and uncomplicated. We will come back !!

Dear future guest, We, Birgit & Ernst Hentschel have, the house acquired in 2014 by our parents or in-laws. The house has been family owned since the establishment of 1969th Since we are always happy, even with our son, flew to Madeira to recover but also to the island again and again to discover. With meticulous attention to detail, the house has been renovated in recent years and brought up to date. The pleasant climate, year-round blooms and the positive Portuguese make their stay on the island unique.
