The attractive, cosy town of Brüggen (Burggemeinde Brüggen) is about 4 km away (by car) and can be reached on foot or by bicycle through the forest.
Only about 12 km away (via the A52) is the Dutch city of Roermond, which has often won awards for its inviting city centre.
The cities of Mönchengladbach, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Aachen, Venlo, Maastricht can be reached quickly by car.
