Hygge!
We felt very comfortable in the house after Christmas! We were in Schönhagen for the first time and booked again right away! We were received very kindly and got an intensive introduction to the house! The house is equipped with everything you need to feel comfortable. We especially liked that it has a fireplace and a barrel sauna. The footpath to the beach took about 10 minutes, and the area is great for dogs as well. It is all very quiet and picturesque. There is a small bakery in the village and a small supermarket at the beach for the essentials. There was also a nice bistro and a delicious café/restaurant at the beach. The cliffs were very beautiful! If one wants to get in the car, one can wonderfully take a trip to the beautiful Kappeln or also drive to Eckernförde. What would we do differently for our individual needs? As a coffee drinker spoiled by a seven-burner, there was another coffee machine in the house. As a dog owner with a still quite young dog, a complete fencing of the property would have been great. And we would find a partial integration of the electricity price included in the rent super, and anything that is consumed more would just have to be paid extra. Thus, the total electricity consumption was added to the rent. With 2 small dogs at 8 euros per dog/day, we find it a bit of a drawback in comparison, as if one has a large dog, they would only have to pay 8 euros/day. We would calculate the daily price based on the size of the dog. But as I said, these are not reasons not to come back! We are happy to return and are already looking forward to the next already booked stay! ?
