Well-maintained house with great amenities

We felt completely comfortable in the holiday home. Everything was very clean, the furnishings left nothing to be desired, and the location is beautiful. The outdoor area is also excellently equipped and invites relaxation. The lovely Christmas decoration was particularly nice, creating a very special atmosphere. We would love to come back!

Wonderful!

It was a very beautiful weekend in the forest lodge! Even though the weather ruined our planned hike, we had a wonderful time at the pétanque court and in the cozy common room in the forest lodge.
Nothing was missing, everything was clean and tidy, and the landlords are very nice. Overall, a recommendation!

Great weekend

We had a lovely weekend in the Eifel. Everything was perfect in this house. Beautiful themed rooms with bathrooms and a grand kitchen that leaves nothing to be desired for a group. We would love to come back in the summer.

Great stay

We were, as always, completely satisfied. The house is very well equipped. The contacts are absolutely helpful and accommodating. We have been coming with a small student group to the Waldstube for years. Everyone feels comfortable in the themed rooms, with bread on a stick by the campfire, or while hiking on the creation path. It would be great if firewood could be purchased for the house in the future. And a grater for the kitchen is missing?

Great accommodation with remarkable furnishings and amenities.

We can highly recommend the house as a family.
Nothing was missing. The kitchen and its equipment are remarkable. Here, cooking for 20 people can be done without any problems. The rooms are all decorated according to a different theme.

One must know that there is no supermarket or bakery in the immediate vicinity.
This did not bother us; we organized everything in advance. There is enough space for drinks and food. Directly from the house, great hikes through the Eifel start.
We would like to come again in the summer and also be able to use the garden ☺️

We would love to come back!

For a few years now, we have been vacationing here with the whole family and several generations - and we keep coming back!
Anyone who wants to experience a quiet holiday in the midst of nature and doesn't mind that the nearest supermarkets are not just around the corner is exactly right here.
The new, large kitchen is also great for a larger group, and we never lacked anything in general. We can definitely recommend the Waldstube.

Great location, great house, great experience

We had already been in some houses with our group of friends, but I don't think any were as well-equipped as this one.
The location is great. You have your peace and can also hike directly without having to drive somewhere first. By car, you can reach Monschau and the Rursee in half an hour. So there are also many activities possible.
No wishes were left unfulfilled, and Gerwin was available the whole time. Clear recommendation for groups that want to make the most of their time together and plan themselves.

Family vacation with comfort, privacy, and nature

We had a great vacation with a family group of 11 adults and 2 small children in the Waldstube. The house is very spacious, cozy, and all rooms are at least very good. The kitchen is fantastic due to its space, equipment/tools, furniture, cutlery, available herbs, etc. We had wonderful weather and it was a joy to be around the house: lovely terrace with beautiful comfortable wooden furniture, great BBQ and pizza oven for groups, petanque court, stunning view, and 100% privacy. From the driveway, you immediately walk into the woods.
A joy to truly be together with our children and their families in the Waldstube.

Celebrations in the Forest Room

A beautiful house, dear managers and owners, an environment suitable for celebrating, walking, and being active. A nice play attic for the little ones and a spacious kitchen... in short, definitely worth repeating.

a 3-4 vacation with full relaxation benefits for all groups, best for 12-16 people

We lacked nothing. Everything was very clean and also immediately usable. We had a very nice time . . . whether in the indoor area or outdoor area (see descriptions on the homepage) . . . everything was used by us (except for the television - no one wanted to spend time on that). Not only was the accommodation very good, but the surroundings were great as well. Hikes (from small to large) or nearby excursion destinations also filled our program. There are also a few nearby sights, such as Monschau or, as an experience, a small Rursee boat trip. However, there should be at least 12 people, as otherwise the costs for the individual are higher than with corresponding alternatives.

Vacation with friends

Completely new kitchen, super equipped. The holiday home is located in a dead-end street, so the kids could play outside without traffic. We had a great time, with hiking trails right in front of the door.

Here, everything just fit perfectly.

We spent the Christmas days here with our large family. It was wonderful. So relaxed and just the right house for everyone's needs from small to large. Delicious treats were made in the big kitchen. It was all-around lovely.

Traditional family recreation

We are visiting the Waldstube for the fourth time with 5 families and are always happy to do so. Due to the location, we do not disturb anyone with children's screams or an extensive campfire. There is always something new to do, especially since the children are getting older and have different interests. We have definitely already booked our traditional family vacation again and are looking forward to it!

Top spot for a group

We have been coming to the Waldstube for years. Once again, everything was in perfect order. We were warmly welcomed by the former owners, who still live next door. The house has been renovated both inside and out over the past year. A nice pizza oven has also been placed outside. We, as a group, had a great time again and will definitely be back.

A fantastic place to celebrate, but also to find peace.

The large kitchen was fantastic. . . . The rooms were also nicely furnished. . . . Really original. It would have been nice if the beds had been made and towels had been provided. . . (I felt a bit like I was in a youth hostel). Also, for the first evening, firewood for the fireplace and 1× charcoal for the grill could have been provided as a service. . . . Well, overall. . . . great atmosphere and absolutely suitable for multiple guests. If I come back in 2 years and would like to celebrate my birthday there, is it allowed to play music until 10:00 PM? . . . . ? . . . . Would that be possible? . . . .

Our annual family reunion in the Eifel

We really enjoy coming to the Waldstube every year as a complete family. The location and size of the house are simply wonderful, and Claudia and Jos are incredibly nice. What we would wish for our next stay is more cleanliness - especially in the kitchen. If every guest pays for the final cleaning and it is also carried out, everything should actually be found clean.

Beautiful house with very friendly caretakers.

We had booked the house with a larger group and everyone was satisfied. The handover and return of the house were uncomplicated with very friendly administrators. Some improvements could still be made at some points (e.g. cooling in the counter, updating the shower on the ground floor), but these are really minor things that do not detract from the overall positive impression. Overall, a recommendation.

beautiful property, great vacation

We have spent our holiday in Waldstube for the second time (couples with and without children). The location is ideal for nature lovers. The gastro kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals for the number of people. We also enjoyed the outdoor area with a grill, boules court, and fire pit. Hikes can be started directly from the house into the national park.
The rooms are very individually furnished and the bathrooms are very clean. Jos and Claudia (who live right next door) as well as the landlord are very nice and accommodating.

In short: We will gladly come back.

Super group accommodation

The house is in a fantastic location in the middle of the forest. There are well-signposted hiking trails right by the house. A hike to the Rursee is easily possible


The house has everything you need, from a fully equipped kitchen to a bar and a table football / TV room. The rooms are lovingly furnished and clean. Even in the outdoor area, attention has been paid to many little things. You feel at home as soon as you arrive. I would recommend the accommodation immediately!

Beautiful, large holiday house in a great environment!

Here you will find a large holiday home (former guesthouse) with many rooms including bathrooms at the end of a valley. The facilities include a bar, large dining room, commercial kitchen, and TV room which are excellent. Outside, a large barbecue area with a fire pit invites you to chill. The local nature is perfect for hiking and cycling. From here, you can explore the Eifel region very well. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The holiday home is very suitable for large groups.

Weekend with extended family

Everything tip top! Very nice, helpful landlords who live next door. We felt very comfortable with 12 adults and 1 baby, had a lot of fun, and above all, enjoyed the tranquility of nature all around. We will gladly come back for the next major family celebration!

I spent a nice weekend with friends. The house is very quiet and secluded. If you like it quiet and love nature, this is the right place. The furnishings are cozy and clean, and you feel comfortable. I can't say much about the service, as we provided for ourselves completely. It was a successful weekend all around. The house is recommendable.

Holiday home for feeling good

We spent a short vacation in a lovingly furnished holiday home with a group of 9 people. From the first contact via email and the initial visit to the house with the landlords, I was positively impressed by their friendly and uncomplicated nature. Our stay continued in the same way. Friendly welcome and handover of the house. We really enjoyed the weekend. We were self-catering and found everything we needed in the former hotel kitchen. The common areas are spacious, and since there is also plenty of space outside for a cozy get-together, we could fully enjoy our barbecue evening there.

We drove to the easily accessible Rursee by car and spent a day hiking there. But hiking directly from the front door is also possible. This house is highly recommended for group vacations.

Visited again and again with pleasure.

The Waldstube has often been our destination, which says a lot. Very cozy and decorated with attention to detail. We always feel very comfortable.
A bit of a shame that there is no longer any dining within walking distance, so you have to drive to Einruhr. However, those who want to cook for themselves will find excellent conditions (professional kitchen, barbecue area, etc.).
One suggestion: The (essential) kicker table is really showing its age. I'm always surprised that it's still there.

A paradise on Earth!

We spent a fantastic short break here over Ascension Day as a group of 4 families with a total of 11 children. Claudia and Jos are very friendly, warm-hearted, and professional hosts. All descriptions on the website do not promise too much. Professional gastronomy kitchen, beautiful common areas with a fireplace, and a cult jukebox are special features that make this accommodation unique, in addition to the rooms lovingly decorated according to themes. Outside there are great opportunities for grilling. The adjacent meadows are inhabited by the own child-friendly horses. The forests are stunningly beautiful, especially the "Schöpfungspfad" right outside the door is sensational. Within walking distance, there is a fantastic stream that is suitable, for example, for building dams. The area, in general, is ideal for hiking/jogging/cycling/swimming (Rursee).
In short: a paradise on earth.
