Description
The house was built in 2016 on the site of the old farmhouse. The property with a threshing floor, covered parking, and stylishly landscaped flower beds is completely surrounded by a fence. From the large roof terrace, there is a 360° panoramic view of the small private domain, as well as over the distant landscape: in the north to the highest elevation of the Eastern Algarve, Cerro de São Miguel, in the south to the Ria Formosa nature reserve and the Atlantic Ocean beyond it. In the East, one greets the sunrise with a cup of coffee, and in the West, one watches the sunset with a glass of Vinho Verde.
The owners took care to use natural materials and construct the Quinta Lusitana with typical local architecture that harmonizes with the existing environment. Directly in front of the large terrace, an impressive biotope has been created, where, besides various aquatic plants, frogs also thrive and occasionally give a small concert. This water paradise features a square basin in the center, allowing one to swim in the biotope without coming into contact with the plant and animal inhabitants that maintain the natural balance of the pool. The view extends through the aquatic plants all the way to the coastline. Since the pool has a constant depth of 2 meters and is very close to the house, unfortunately, children under 8 years old cannot be accommodated. Older children should already be confident swimmers. We ask for your understanding for this safety regulation.
Style and sophistication continue inside the house. The large living area is illuminated by four double glass doors from the south and north. The wooden roof and clay plaster maintain a balance in temperature and humidity. This creates a very pleasant indoor climate.
Next to the living room is an open, very well-equipped kitchen with a dining area. Here too, plenty of light enters through windows facing all directions.
In the eastern part of the house, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of them en suite. Both bedrooms have terrace doors and air conditioning (consumption is charged extra)).

Oasis of peace
It is the second time we stayed here and it felt like coming home.
The whole ambiance is good. An oasis of tranquility with a beautiful house and garden and not to forget the swimming pool. You do have to like frogs because there are plenty of them.
We enjoyed it again this time.
