Quinta Lusitana is elevated on the plateau of a gentle hill in the district of Olhão, in a quiet location between the communities of Quelfes, Moncarapacho and Fuseta. The rural area is characterized by almond, olive and carob trees, narrow paths invite you to take leisurely walks in the midst of nature. The house was built only in 2016 on the site of the former quinta and the property is fenced all around with threshing floor, covered carport and stylishly landscaped flower beds. The large roof terrace offers a 360° view of the small kingdom, but also over the distant landscape: in the north to the highest elevation of the Eastern Algarve, the Cerro de São Miguel, in the south to the Ria Formosa nature reserve and the Atlantic Ocean lying behind the offshore islands. To the east, the sunrise greets the early risers and to the west, the sunset makes the Vinho Verde taste even better.
When building Quinta Lusitana, the owners took care to use natural materials and to create an architecture in the typical style of the country, which fits harmoniously into the existing environment. Directly in front of the large south-facing terrace, an impressive biotope has been created, in which, in addition to various aquatic plants, frogs also feel at home and occasionally provide a small private concert. A square pool is enclosed in this gem, so that you can swim in the chlorine-free water in the middle of the biotope without coming into contact with the plant and animal inhabitants in the peripheral areas, which ensure the natural balance of the pool - a true bathing pleasure. As the pool has a continuous depth of 2 meters and is located very close to the house, children under 8 years of age can unfortunately not be accommodated. Older children should already be safe swimmers. We ask for your understanding for this safety regulation.
Style and sophistication continue inside the house. The large living area is illuminated by four double glass doors from the south and north, the open wooden roof also enhances the good indoor climate that prevails throughout the house. One of the reasons for this is the clay plaster used here, which keeps the temperature and humidity in balance.
The living room is complemented by an open, very well equipped kitchen and dining area, also here a lot of light falls through the windows present in all directions. In the eastern part of the house are the two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of them en suite. Both bedrooms have patio doors and, like the entire house, can be air-conditioned. Pipes laid in the floor are fed by a modern heat pump and can easily cool as well as heat. The electricity for this is generated by the house's own solar system. In the cooler months, the wood-burning stove in the living room also provides comfortable warmth and hot water. Quinta Lusitana offers a relaxing vacation for up to 4 people, in natural surroundings and with short distances to many attractive destinations in the Eastern Algarve. It is distinguished from some other, at first sight comparable, accommodations by its eco-pool, the sublime location and the high quality furnishings.

Oasis of peace
It is the second time we stayed here and it felt like coming home.
The whole ambiance is good. An oasis of tranquility with a beautiful house and garden and not to forget the swimming pool. You do have to like frogs because there are plenty of them.
We enjoyed it again this time.
