Description
La Cambruna is a typical Tuscan hillside barn recently transformed into a cosy holiday home with a private pool located on a panoramic hill with commanding views over the rolling Tuscan hills west of Siena.
The property is nestled in an olive grove, in a quiet position, well exposed to the sun and with magnificent panoramic views.
In the rustic and well-kept garden surrownding the house, there is an inviting infinity pool with solarium equipped with sun loungers for the exclusive use of guests. The pool size is 5 x 10 m, depth 1,40 – 2 m and is available from April to October.
Tastefully furnished in a minimal style and equipped with all modern comforts, the villa can accommodate four guests. The main building spreads over two floors with a spacious living room, well-equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, and a toilette. Both the kitchen and the living room open up on a covered windowed terrace provided with an outdoor kitchen.
The access road (about 2 km) is unpaved and not drivable by sport cars, a SUV is recommended.
Centrally located in the triangle between Siena, Pisa and Florence, the property is an excellent starting point for day trips to the many art centres of the region, the sandy beaches and the Islands of the Tuscan archipelago..

Pure relaxation
La Cambruna is really a beautiful little house in the countryside.
If you want to enjoy your vacation in peace, I can only recommend this house. The only downside is that the access to the house is somewhat bumpy with a 2km long gravel road. However, this did not cause us any problems. I would not recommend it for a sports car. The only drawback was that the air conditioning in the bedrooms worked poorly or not at all. Ainoa, our host, was right there with fans and an air conditioning technician and helped us further.
All in all, a wonderfully relaxing vacation! We would come back!

Wonderful, remote villa with fabulous views over surrounding countryside
We had a wonderful time at the very stylish La Cambruna. It was beautifully clean and tidy on arrival. Comfy beds with good quality bathrooms, furniture and fittings. Our host, Ainoa could not have been more helpful, she was at the villa to welcome us on arrival and assist on departure. She provided excellent restaurant recommendations and answered questions on local activities.
The villa is down a 2km stony track which is bumpy and steep in places: we had a medium sized family car and the wheels spun a couple of times. The house is peaceful and remote with spectacular views over wild woodland and into the distant hills. Decent WiFi. The infinity pool was beautiful and cleaned every other day. We were surrounded by wildlife: swallows, hares, deer and we could hear the wild boar. The beautiful hilltop village of Casole d'Elsa was approx 15 minutes drive away with a cafe, bank, mini-market and couple of restaurants.
Well located for day trips to popular locations such as Siena, Volterra & San Gimignano.

Beautiful vacation
We spent two very nice weeks there in September. The house is well equipped. The outdoor kitchen was great. The house is located in a very quiet area. The pool is fantastic and cleaned regularly. The property is spacious, but it would have been nicer if it were fenced, then you could let your furry friends run freely without worries.
One small point of criticism is the second room (the closet could have more storage space), which is relatively small, and the attached bathroom is also very small, with limited space in the shower. The other room with the bathtub is very large and has enough storage space, unlike the other room. You would always have to go to the other room to get your things, which can be a bit inconvenient when there are two couples.
The tranquility and the view are fantastic.
If you want entertainment or want to go out for a meal, you will need to drive a car.
The access to the house is also quite unusual and sometimes quite adventurous.
But if you want to have a quiet, relaxing holiday, this is the right place for you.
