Description
La Cambruna is a typical Tuscan hillside barn recently transformed into a cosy holiday home with a private pool located on a panoramic hill with commanding views over the rolling Tuscan hills west of Siena.
The property is nestled in an olive grove, in a quiet position, well exposed to the sun and with magnificent panoramic views.
In the rustic and well-kept garden surrownding the house, there is an inviting infinity pool with solarium equipped with sun loungers for the exclusive use of guests. The pool size is 5 x 10 m, depth 1,40 – 2 m and is available from April to October.
Tastefully furnished in a minimal style and equipped with all modern comforts, the villa can accommodate four guests. The main building spreads over two floors with a spacious living room, well-equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, and a toilette. Both the kitchen and the living room open up on a covered windowed terrace provided with an outdoor kitchen.
The access road (about 2 km) is unpaved and not drivable by sport cars, a SUV is recommended.
Centrally located in the triangle between Siena, Pisa and Florence, the property is an excellent starting point for day trips to the many art centres of the region, the sandy beaches and the Islands of the Tuscan archipelago..

Pure relaxation
La Cambruna is really a beautiful little house in the countryside.
If you want to enjoy your vacation in peace, I can only recommend this house. The only downside is that the access to the house is somewhat bumpy with a 2km long gravel road. However, this did not cause us any problems. I would not recommend it for a sports car. The only drawback was that the air conditioning in the bedrooms worked poorly or not at all. Ainoa, our host, was right there with fans and an air conditioning technician and helped us further.
All in all, a wonderfully relaxing vacation! We would come back!

Wonderful, remote villa with fabulous views over surrounding countryside
We had a wonderful time at the very stylish La Cambruna. It was beautifully clean and tidy on arrival. Comfy beds with good quality bathrooms, furniture and fittings. Our host, Ainoa could not have been more helpful, she was at the villa to welcome us on arrival and assist on departure. She provided excellent restaurant recommendations and answered questions on local activities.
The villa is down a 2km stony track which is bumpy and steep in places: we had a medium sized family car and the wheels spun a couple of times. The house is peaceful and remote with spectacular views over wild woodland and into the distant hills. Decent WiFi. The infinity pool was beautiful and cleaned every other day. We were surrounded by wildlife: swallows, hares, deer and we could hear the wild boar. The beautiful hilltop village of Casole d'Elsa was approx 15 minutes drive away with a cafe, bank, mini-market and couple of restaurants.
Well located for day trips to popular locations such as Siena, Volterra & San Gimignano.

Beautiful vacation
We spent two very nice weeks there in September. The house is well equipped. The outdoor kitchen was great. The house is located in a very quiet area. The pool is fantastic and cleaned regularly. The property is spacious, but it would have been nicer if it were fenced, then you could let your furry friends run freely without worries.
One small point of criticism is the second room (the closet could have more storage space), which is relatively small, and the attached bathroom is also very small, with limited space in the shower. The other room with the bathtub is very large and has enough storage space, unlike the other room. You would always have to go to the other room to get your things, which can be a bit inconvenient when there are two couples.
The tranquility and the view are fantastic.
If you want entertainment or want to go out for a meal, you will need to drive a car.
The access to the house is also quite unusual and sometimes quite adventurous.
But if you want to have a quiet, relaxing holiday, this is the right place for you.

Great holiday home in a very quiet location
The holiday home is super equipped, the furnishings are tasteful and the house as well as the garden and pool are very clean and well-kept. The complex is secluded on a hill and can be reached via a slightly more than 2 km long gravel/forest road and can be easily mastered with an SUV. You have absolute peace and quiet here - very suitable for relaxation. Ainoa provided us with detailed directions for our arrival, so getting there was not a problem. Ainoa was also always available during our stay and made sure that nothing was missing. We had a great holiday in this holiday home and definitely want to come back!

We were in love from the first minute and will come back!
After we have already booked our house for 2024, we can also give our review. The question of whether we were satisfied is therefore already redundant. Our conclusion: It was our first holiday in Tuscany and we loved our house there from the first minute and the area enchanted us. We had a super warm welcome from Ainoa from Villas in Med. Ainoa was always available for all questions and the contact beforehand was just great. Our house had everything our hearts desired, after one week there was new bed linen/towels, every other day the pool attendant came to clean and check the water values. We didn't miss anything in the top equipped kitchen. For us, it was perfect that our house was in the middle of nowhere. However, one must already like bumpy roads and for a sports car the way is definitely not suitable. Once you have reached the main road, it was quick to explore the area. We found it perfect, we were quickly on the move but had peace and quiet when we didn't want to do anything for 2 days. Our highlight was the kitchen in the conservatory. Here we gladly provided for ourselves and let the evening fade away. Perfect since it rained a lot during our time there. The small village around the corner, Casole d'Elsa, is simply magical. Our dog Grobi was loved by everyone immediately and the gigantic garden was definitely his highlight. That he was not allowed in the pool, he knows from home - so it was mega relaxed for us and him and we had so many beautiful moments. The pool and the view were just a dream. Important for dog owners: there is an open staircase in the living room, which is not easy for a dog to walk. Our dog +30 KG knows that he stays downstairs alone at night and does not use the open staircase. We wholeheartedly recommend the house and the agency and are already looking forward to our holiday there in 2024!

Fantastic time out
We discovered La Cambruna on our online search and already found the description very promising.
On site we were not disappointed, on the contrary, we were very warmly welcomed and the house is very lovingly furnished and has a beautiful garden with pool and even an outdoor kitchen.
The house is a perfect size and very secluded in the middle of Tuscany - I only rate the location with 4 stars, as the access is very bumpy and you have to drive about 2km over unpaved roads.
All in all, we had a wonderful stay and the perfect getaway.
Many thanks also to Ainoa, who helped us with all our needs.
We would love to come back!
