The holiday home has a total of 5 or 6 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, 1 bathroom with bathtub, shower and toilet, 1 shower room with shower and toilet, and 1 separate toilet, and it offers space for up to 10 people. In the spacious living/dining area on the ground floor, a wood-burning stove provides coziness. Here you can enjoy your meals with your whole family. The table in the dining area on the ground floor is extendable and can comfortably seat up to 10 people. Or enjoy breakfast on the large terrace, also with a big table. There are 5 bedrooms available with single beds (4) 90x200cm, a double bed with 2 mattresses (1) 2x90x200cm, or large single beds (3) 140x200cm. In the basement there is a second living/dining area with 1 single bed, which can be used as a 6th bedroom, also with a TV with internet connection. The 2 kitchens are fully equipped with microwaves, coffee machines, etc. The kitchen on the ground floor also has a dishwasher. In the living room on the ground floor there is a television with satellite connection and a DVD/CD/Blu-ray player. Books and toys are also available as well as many DVDs for children and adults!
The garden goes around the house and there is plenty of space for playing or barbecuing. There is also a trampoline for the little ones or for the not-so-little ones!
The house is located about 20 minutes by car from Lake Constance (18 km). If you want to enjoy your vacation right on Lake Constance, that can be a disadvantage. We see it more positively – in 20 minutes you are at Lake Constance and can spend the whole day there. In the evening you are back home, away from the hustle and bustle, and can enjoy the peace and nature in the large garden. And the price also plays a big role. Accommodations directly on Lake Constance are much more expensive than those that are a little further away. This can be a very crucial point for families/larger groups.

The largest forest area in the vicinity borders directly on the "holiday village" Stockfeld. For family fun, the Seepark Linzgau with Germany's craziest adventure golf course, playgrounds, water ski park, bathing beach, etc. is only a few minutes away from the town of Pfullendorf. In the beautiful Lake Constance hinterland, in the Upper Linzgau between Pfullendorf and Bodman-Ludwigshafen, lies the friendly municipality of Herdwangen-Schönach. Several tranquil towns and villages with a total of just over inhabitants make up the Baden-Württemberg municipal area near the beautiful Lake Constance and the Upper Danube Nature Park. Charmingly situated in the hinterland of Lake Constance, Herdwangen-Schönach is an idyllic holiday destination in the border triangle of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Cozy carriage rides are part of an active vacation in Herdwangen-Schönach, as are relaxing walks, inline skating, horseback riding, tennis, extensive hikes, and a variety of cycling tours.
Attractive hiking trails and well-maintained cycling routes crisscross the spacious municipal area of Herdwangen-Schönach. Short hiking routes of around 3 kilometers are available, as well as longer routes of about 15 kilometers—there is something here for every hiking enthusiast. In addition, for hiking enthusiasts, interesting hiking tours through the beautiful landscape are offered once a week from spring until the picturesque late autumn. A popular hiking destination is, for example, the St. Wendelin Chapel on the Ramsberg. Cyclists enjoy the charming countryside on varied, traffic-calmed routes around Herdwangen-Schönach.
Moreover, Herdwangen-Schönach in the Upper Linzgau boasts many noteworthy buildings. Next to the charming town hall of Herdwangen with its historic mural and decorative shutters, churches and chapels in particular are among the attractions of the Linzgau community, located near the magnificent Lake Constance. Examples of interesting sacred architecture include, among others, the parish church of St. Peter and Paul in Herdwangen, the chapel in Ebratsweiler and the chapel in Mühlhausen as well as the church of Aftholderberg, which sits atop a watershed, so that the Rhine and Danube are fed by the rainwater from the church roof.
The art gallery in Kleinschönach is also considered a meeting place for culture lovers. In the artists' collective of Herdwangen-Schönach, works by various artists are presented in alternating exhibitions, painting courses are offered, lectures and other cultural events are held.
Culture enthusiasts also discover many attractions around Herdwangen-Schönach; the same applies to the sporty holiday guests of the Linzgau community. For the nearby Lake Constance region offers numerous attractions such as magnificent castles and mighty fortresses, exciting museums and galleries, several thermal baths, a wide range of water sports, and other leisure activities.

Completion of this Accommodation Contract forms a written agreement between the tenant and landlord/agent that its conditions must be fulfilled irrespective of the contract’s duration. For many years we hosted social groups. Many groups were really good, they were very satisfied and came back regularly.
Unfortunately, recently, after some groups had departed, we had so much restoration and preparation work to do that we decided not to accommodate such groups anymore.
For 4 people the whole house costs €165.00 per night. From March 2026, €170.00
Each additional person pays only €13.00 per night. From March 2026, €15.00.
We charge a one-time cleaning fee of €120.00.
Please note that we are very reluctant to rent the house for 5 nights or fewer during school holidays / high season. However, in some cases exceptions can be made and in which case a booking of 5 nights or fewer will incur a one-time short-term guest fee of €50.00. Only a few holiday home owners are willing to rent their house for a weekend or a few days. It is simply too much work and blocks the week. We ask for your understanding.
A price example: a family of 10 people for 7 nights:
€165.00 for the first 4 people and then +€13.00 x6
Total: €243.00 per night x 7 nights = €1,781.00 + €120.00 for cleaning.
This price is a final price and includes all taxes and the consumption of oil, water, electricity, and wood for the tiled stove (in winter).
