Description

This ~130 m2 three bedroom vacation home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac and surrounded by gardens. It can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people, with additional facilities for one more guest in the basement.

A large comfortable sofa near a wood-burning Swedish stove in the spacious downstairs living area creates a cosy atmosphere where you can relax and chat or enjoy multimedia entertainment. An extendable dining table with matching chairs provides enough space to dine comfortably with all family members and/or friends. Preparing and serving food is a dream thanks to the fully equipped American-style kitchen with more than 6 meters of worktop space. On the covered terrace you can dine outside in any weather and enjoy the warmth of the afternoon sun or simply listen to the crickets in late summer.

Two of the bedrooms are equipped with double beds (100 x 200 with separate 90cm mattresses) and the third has two standard single beds (90 x 200). The basement room with cork floor can be used as a playroom and offers another guest a comfortable single bed (90 x 200).

There are 2 WCs in the house - one on the ground floor and one on the 1st floor. A shower / bath is available for guests on the 1st floor.

The ~600 m2 garden with its variety of fruit and deciduous trees invites you to picnic and/or barbecue. A double garage is available for protected parking and offers plenty of space for bicycles, hiking equipment, skis, etc.

The 77 km long "Dampflokradweg", an acclaimed cycle and hiking path that is recommended by the ADFC (German Cyclist’s Association) that was created by the Ostallgäu Tourism Association and is mentioned in various publications, is only a matter of metres away from the house.

The house is located ~45 minutes by car from Munich South Airport (Memmingen); ~40 minutes from the Ammersee; ~40 minutes from the Forgensee and Ludwig's fairy tale castles; 30 minutes from Landsberg and only 15 minutes from the old town of Kaufbeuren. It is just 18 minutes by car to the nearest ski lift (ski lift at Ascher Rauth) and just 1 hour to the Tannheimer Tal (with ski facilities in nearby Austria) or to the Grünten or even to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Location and surroundings of object

Frankenhofen is a lovely, quiet village with a church, village shop and wonderful walks. Weldon Ponds and restaurant is 5 minutes away from the house by car. Munich is only an hour away by car and Fussen with its wonderful castles, lakes 45 minutes by car.

The Accommodation Contract is concluded as soon as the holiday home is booked and confirmed - or, if confirmation was not possible due to time constraints, has been allocated to you. This Accommodation Contract forms a written or verbal agreement between the tenant and landlord/agent that its conditions must be fulfilled irrespective of the contract’s duration. The booking is confirmed in writing by email or verbally by telephone.

Cancellation terms:

  • Our cancellation policy is as follows. If you need to cancel your holiday we understand you will have good reasons but please tell us if possible as early as possible. It then gives us the possibility to find new guests for the period you booked and we will pay any monies paid to us back to you. If we are unable to fill the period you booked we reserve the right to charge you the whole amount. We advise therefore to take out a travel insurance to be on the safe side.

For many years we hosted social groups. Many groups were really good, they were very satisfied and came back regularly.
Unfortunately, more recently after some groups left, we had so much restoration and preparation work that we decided not to accept such groups anymore.



The whole house costs €135.00 for 3 people per night.
Each additional person pays just €12.00 extra per night

We charge a one-time cleaning fee of €120.00.

If you book fewer than 5 nights, we will charge a short-term booking fee of €50,00 Please note that we are very reluctant to rent the house for fewer than 5 nights during school holidays / high season. Few holiday home owners are willing to rent out their homes for a weekend or a few days. It is just too much work and blocks the week. We ask for your understanding.

A price example: a family of 6 people for 7 nights:

€135 for the first 3 persons and then + €12.00 x3

Sum: €171.00 per night x 7 nights = €1,197.00 + €120.00 for the cleaning.

The price is inclusive of all applicable taxes, the use of gas (for the hot water), water electricity, central heating and wood for the Swedish stove in winter.

Fantastic

We had a fabulous two weeks stay at Katherine and Andrews place. It is a large, clean,comfortable and secluded house with a convenient local shop. Definitely worth a trip to the Käserei for home made ice cream or their Bergstrasse vending machine,the local farm for fresh milk and the natural Freibad in the neighbouring village of Osterzell. Highly recommend a stay here.Hosts very helpful and responsive.

Positive: comfortable mattresses, super clean house,great internet,safe environment for children with gates and garden, lots of animals around the house such as hens, cows, cockerels, goats,doves and horses, nice amenities eg sauna and jakuzzi, friendly neighbours, great well equipped American style kitchen..
