The water lodge was a practical choice for our family, With a double bed for us and a bunk bed for the kids, it was spacious enough, The bathroom was nice, and we appreciated the shower, The two terraces gave us plenty of outdoor space to relax,

Hidden booking costs that are not immediately apparent, the houseboat was poorly cleaned, dog hair on the sofa, dishes, glasses, and pan extremely dirty, Wi-Fi not possible - you use up your data, mattress cover/bed full of long hair, refrigerator not clean, windows/kitchen extremely dirty, kitchen cabinets defective... After complaining, we received a refund of €75... but for nearly €1000 for 5 days, I expect it to be top-notch... Reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful!!!

We were lucky to have very good weather at the beginning of September, which allowed us to relax comfortably on the upper deck. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay in the Waterlodge. There was a lot to observe in the harbor on Saturdays, sailing ships came and "went," which was nice to see for a landlubber. The Waterlodge itself was cozy, and the gentle movement lulled us nicely to sleep.

The houseboat is recommended; it is a different experience to live on the water. We also had two very stormy days, and yes, it does sway a bit, but the boat is well built, so it is manageable. We recommend the houseboat for two people, as it is small but nice; possibly with a child would still be feasible.
