to our spacious, lovingly and naturally designed holiday flat
Here you can really pause, let your soul dangle and enjoy nature.
Our flat is low in allergies and equipped with solid wood furniture, solid floorboards and an interior lime plaster. Lime plasters are breathable and contribute to a comfortable and healthy indoor climate.
With 110 square metres, our domicile is ideally suited for larger families.
There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, a living-dining room with a high-quality sofa bed and a furnished sun terrace.
You can enjoy your holiday together with up to seven people and explore the numerous sights of Franconian Switzerland.
For our little guests we have a cot and a high chair.
The family-friendly thermal spa Obernsees is very close by
From us you can easily reach the Wagner city of Bayreuth by bike
The holiday home is located on the northern edge of Franconian Switzerland. Distance to Bayreuth 10 km.

to the romantic holiday region of Franconian Switzerland, an enchanting low mountain landscape situated in the city triangle of Bamberg / Bayreuth / Nuremberg.
In the Franconian Switzerland Nature Park you will find both varied hiking trails and challenging climbing rocks.
But the great density of breweries and the numerous small breweries in Franconia also deserve to be mentioned here.
In addition to magnificent churches and monasteries, mighty castles, magnificent palaces, numerous ruins and mysterious dripstone caves are waiting to be explored by you.
Whether you want to visit the famous basilica in Gössweinstein or just have fun on the summer toboggan run in Pottenstein - Franconian Switzerland offers something for everyone.
Active holidaymakers will find an extensive network of hiking trails, numerous climbing rocks and high ropes courses in Franconian Switzerland. The area is also excellent for exploring by bike or mountain bike - but you should be somewhat fit. Those who want to take it easier can ride an e-bike. In April, the Franconian Switzerland e-bike region was launched with numerous rental and battery exchange stations. Our guests also went archery, as there are several very good courses in the area.
You can enjoy both nature and culture here - you can climb, cycle, hike, canoe or kayak the rivers in the area or simply enjoy the magic of the landscape.

The living room is furnished with a comfortable sitting or reclining sofa and a TV set. In the wood stove you can watch the warming wood fire through the glass pane. A wide variety of programs is received via satellite antenna. From the kitchen you reach the terrace with garden furniture set for seven people.
A bathroom with walk-in glass shower, washbasin, toilet, and washing machine. a bathroom with glass shower cabin, toilet, washbasin and towel radiator as well as two bedrooms. One room with two single beds and one room with a double bed and a single bed.
New from 2023: Carport with lockable bicycle room as well as another parking space are available to guests free of charge in front of the house.

Pure enthusiasm

Exceptional and highly recommended!!
Everything was wonderful and we felt very comfortable, always supported by the very nice host. The holiday apartment is very spacious, bright, and well-equipped - we lacked nothing, and all the technical devices are top-notch. Everything is available, and there are many things in the apartment that are not usually part of the standard equipment in other houses. Furniture and furnishings (with plenty of storage) made from ecological materials (we particularly liked the mattresses and the comforters!!), and much more.
We were four and had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all well-equipped including a washing machine. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed - there is even a coffee machine for fresh coffee beans. The large terrace to the south with an electric awning and a wonderful view of the nature and vegetable garden is also very beautiful. Very good location in a quiet residential area with its own carport for the car. Bayreuth is easily and quickly reachable by car, and it is also possible by bus. Upon our departure, the landlord also gave us rose cuttings and fresh onions from the garden - thank you again for everything, and we would be happy to come back.

Family vacation in Franconian Switzerland
We, as a family of five with three small children, spent five nights in the cozy and spacious vacation apartment of the Schwatlo family. We were warmly welcomed and also bid farewell by the friendly hostess. The apartment is located on the ground floor of the house, very quietly in a cul-de-sac of a new housing area on the outskirts of Mistelgau and is an ideal starting point for excursions to the numerous destinations in the Franconian Switzerland (about 30 min. ) or to Bayreuth (15min.) The apartment is characterized by spacious and light-filled rooms. Continuous wooden floors and natural wooden furniture give the rooms a natural charm. Two modern and clean bathrooms with shower and toilet, as well as a washing machine, were important for us as a family with children. Shared meals can be taken with short distances from the kitchen either in the large living and dining area or, if the weather permits, on the terrace, which is also equipped with a sunshade and offers a view of the beautifully designed garden of Mrs. Schwatlo. The apartment hallway is wide and provides enough space so that even with 5 people, one never gets in the way when setting off for excursions or returning. The two bedrooms can be completely darkened with external shutters, and the larger of the two even has access to the balcony. We had a nice stay and can absolutely recommend the apartment!
