For rent is a small 80m² house with winter garden in an absolutely quiet location directly at the historical windmill "Kost Winning" in the district Larrelt in Emden. Very good infrastructure, as there is a pharmacy, savings bank, hairdresser, butcher's shop, bakery and Edeka market in the immediate vicinity. In addition, a jeweller, flower shop, vet, dentist and 2 GPs in a group practice, all within walking distance in a few minutes. None is more than 400 m away
On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays you can buy changing lunch menus at the butcher's shop if you don't feel like cooking or eating out yourself.
The nearest petrol station is about 1 km away and the nearest shopping centre DOC is about 2 km away.
In the house there is a well-equipped fitted kitchen with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, a dining counter and groceries and spices for the first needs. A spacious living room adjoins. In the living room there is a fully equipped wall unit with TV, a leather sofa with table and a comfortable wing chair with stool as well as a desk and 3 chairs and a folding bed for a third person. From the living room, you can access a sheltered terrace through a lockable patio door, which also serves as a second entrance and exit, with patio furniture and barbecue facilities. An electrically retractable awning protects from the sun. Next to it is a lockable tool shed for storing bicycles, where the barbecue is also located.
The well-equipped bedroom is adjoined by a large bathroom with shower and handholds on the washbasin. Next to it are a washing machine, toilet and shower, also with grab bars. The shower opening is large enough for a wheelchair to pass through. There is plenty of storage space throughout the house and all doors are extra wide to allow a wheelchair to pass through. Electric shutters are installed throughout the house.
Bed linen, bathrobes and fresh hand and shower towels are of course provided.
A baby cot for children up to 3 years of age can be added. Furthermore, there is an additional fold-away bed for a third person in the living room

You can park directly in front of the house on our spacious driveway free of charge, the street Möhlenhörn is a dead end and it is very quiet there. The house can be entered directly from the car park, the 17 sqm conservatory is equipped with rattan furniture, tables and seating
We can help with the rental of bicycles.

The house is a non-smoking accommodation, but you can smoke outside on the terrace. We ask for your understanding! Pets are also not allowed.

The daily rate per night is 80 € for the one-time cleaning fee we charge 50€.
Minimum rental period is 3 days.
The completion of a personal form with vaccination status is unfortunately required. A deposit of 50% of the total co-payment is required upon completion, the remaining amount including cleaning flat rate upon arrival.
It is also possible to bring your own bicycles. There are signposted cycle paths right next to the house. The dyke with a view of the North Sea is only a few kilometres away. The East Frisian island of Borkum or the Netherlands can be reached by ferry or catamaran. It is only 5 km from the house to the ferry terminal. Many good cycle paths in the immediate vicinity lead, for example, to the fishing village of Greetsiel with the Wadden Sea National Park House, or to the Pilsum lighthouse. Our insider tip is the old Pilsum brewery with advance reservation for a delicious fish dinner and a visit to a cheese dairy in Pilsum. In Emden itself, the Ottohuus and the Kunsthalle as well as the Bunker Museum are delightful destinations. The lightship and the museum cruiser in the Delft should also be on your itinerary. A trip to the Knock lets you see the opposite Dutch side of the North Sea, you can see the Borkum steamers sailing there and you can get a coffee or Sunday brunch at the "Strandlust" restaurant (with advance notice for brunch); you can also watch the kite- and windsurfers there.

The minimum rental period is 3 days. A deposit of 100€ of the total cost is required upon conclusion, the remaining amount including a cleaning fee upon arrival. Attention dear guests! The city of Emden will charge a lodging tax of 3.5% on the total amount of your stay in any vacation apartment from January 1, 2025. This does not apply to trips booked in 2024, which are exempt from the tax. This tax must be paid in cash on site to the landlord, who must then remit it to the city. Example calculation: 3 days = 300 € the tax to be paid in this case would be 10.50 €. We ourselves have no influence on that! Bringing your own bicycles is possible. Cycling trails are signposted nearby. It is only a few kilometers to the dyke with a view of the North Sea. The East Frisian island of Borkum or the Netherlands can be reached by ferry or catamaran. Emden, as the Venice of the North, invites you to boat trips on the canals, organized by AG Ems, and also the green lung of Emden, the centuries-old Wall, is recommended for a long walk or bike ride around Emden.

Highly recommended with wheelchair.

We had a very nice week in Emden. The reception from the landlord was very warm, a nice apartment with plenty of space for wheelchair users, everything you need for the beginning was there, the fridge was filled with many delicacies, we have never experienced such a thing before. We felt very comfortable and will come back. Many thanks to the Feyand family.

Very nice holiday home

We spent a very beautiful and relaxing week in the vacation home.

The accommodation is located in a very quiet area, and the equipment is above average in my experience. Everything needed for survival on the first day was available in the kitchen upon arrival, which is not standard everywhere! The cleanliness of the apartment is remarkable. We were completely satisfied and can only recommend this vacation home! Thanks again to the Feyand family for their efforts to provide guests with a great stay.

Excellent holiday in East Frisia

We found a great, top-equipped holiday accommodation in a pleasantly quiet location.
The reception by the landlords was exceptionally personal and warm.
The facilities leave nothing to be desired, even a large basic equipment in the kitchen was available. We can recommend the accommodation without reservation and will definitely come back. Cyclists will get their money's worth.

We manage the property for our daughter, who lives right next door to the holiday flat at number 10. We are senior citizens with a lot of time and attention to detail. This holiday home is just as lovingly designed with many little eye-catchers. It is especially worth mentioning that we have created a feel-good oasis that gives families as well as handicapped persons all possibilities. Our holiday home has a very good infrastructure, so short distances are possible. But Emden, the Venice of the North, also has many charms and is waiting to be discovered. We have also thought of cyclists and put a lockable garden hut behind the terrace, where you will also find the barbecue as well as a fire engine to roll and a tricycle for little guests up to 36 months.
