LOCATION
The holiday home "Mein Hanni" is located on an 800 square metre site at Schoolstieg 30 in 25842 Langenhorn/North Friesland in the West-Langenhorn district. Initially - hence the name - Schoolstieg was just a small lane leading to a small village school. In the course of the last decades, it has been built up with mostly single-family houses and today serves as a traffic-calmed cul-de-sac for residents only.
West-Langenhorn represents the village centre of the old village. In addition to the St. Laurentius Church, the market square named after Friedrich Paulsen is also located here, and opposite the church is the listed building of the Old Smithy. In the neighbourhood of the idyllic holiday flat "Mein Hanni" are thatched-roof houses, which are very typical for the region, the former old village school and a historic windmill, which today receives much praise and popularity as the restaurant Westermöhl.
Vis-à-vis the school rise, the hiking trail "Zur Badekuhle" leads past a natural bathing pond into the adjacent wooded area of Sandberge, which is joined by the Langenhorner and Bordelumer Heide nature reserve. The landscape of Langenhorn, characterised by the Geest and the Marsch, shows its complete versatility here.
The municipality of Langenhorn is an absolutely centrally located, steadily growing village in North Frisia with a current population of approx. 3,300. It lies between the district town of Husum, about 25 km to the south, and the small town of Niebüll, about 17 km to the north. The nearest small town is Bredstedt, about 7 km in the direction of Husum. Langenhorn is well connected by bus and train via the local railway station Langenhorn (Schlesw) or via regular bus lines
The village offers fresh eggs, milk and vegetables directly from the farmer, two supermarkets, bakeries, a NF souvenir shop, petrol stations, bicycle rental, restaurants, snack bar, pizza service, post office, credit institutions, hairdressers, skin care practice, massage practice, various doctors, dentists, alternative practitioners and a pharmacy
The North Sea coast is just 8 km away. The bathing spots (e.g. Hamburger Hallig, Holmer Siel, Schlüttsiel, Dagebüll, Sylt, Röm (DK), St. Peter-Ording, and many more) are spread along the entire North Frisian and Danish coast. The train journey from Langenhorn station to Westerland on Sylt takes about three quarters of an hour. The islands and Halligen of the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea can be easily reached by bicycle via the ferry terminals in Schlüttsiel (approx. 12 km), Dagebüll (approx. 19 km) and Nordstrand (approx. 25 km). Denmark is just a 30-minute drive away. Just before the border is the Nolde Museum, other museums such as the Theodor Storm House or the Shipping Museum in Husum, and many more scattered throughout the region.

Heartfelt, warm, and hospitable
As rough, cold, and inhospitable as the weather and wind are in March at the North Sea – so warm, heartfelt, and hospitable are the people here. In any case, we were welcomed here by you, Mr. Clausen, the neighbors, and the people in North Frisia.
And since we, as newly retired, can also travel outside of the season for vacation, we enjoyed the wonderful spring nature with all the beautiful early bloomers. Thank you very much, Mr. Clausen, for the hospitality gifts, the very cozy and comfortable accommodation, and the many recommendations to get to know North Frisia. We greatly enjoyed this stay and also dined excellently at the newly opened mill Westermöhl.
Your holiday home is definitely recommendable. We wish you all the best.

Die Nachbarschaft im Schoolstieg ist schon absolut grandios, immer freundlich und hilfsbereit! Eine gewachsene Sackgassengemeinschaft, sehr entspannt mit Wohlfühlgarantie. Ihre Charakterisierung Nordfrieslands – „so rau, kalt und unwirtlich das Wetter und der Wind im März an der Nordsee sind – so herzlich, warm und gastfreundlich sind die Menschen hier”, trifft es auf den Punkt, dem ist nichts mehr hinzuzufügen. Klasse.
Leider konnten wir uns nicht persönlich kennen lernen. Vielleicht ja bei einem nächsten Mal, es würde mich sehr freuen.

die Ausstattung der Wohnung und die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten zur Anreise wurden ja schon häufiger sehr wertgeschätzt, die Tischtennisplatte allerdings bisher kaum. Umso schöner und erfreulicher, dass Sie um sie herum nun besonderen Spaß zusammen fanden!
Für Ausflüge in alle Himmelsrichtungen ist die zentrale Lage Langenhorns ideal. Es gäbe noch so viel mehr zu sehen und zu erleben, die Zeit immer zu knapp. So würde auch uns es sehr freuen, wenn Sie uns wieder besuchen kommen und wir uns dann auch persönlich kennenlernen können.

First contact to booking went smoothly!
Arrival was enhanced by welcome drinks.
The amenities left nothing to be desired! All devices are high-quality and up to date.
The garden is large and well-maintained, bordered by a hedge.
Great bakery and shopping options nearby. Restaurant at the mill within walking distance.
In case of a suspected problem with the Wi-Fi, the local contact person came by very quickly and easily. That was very exemplary. If the beach can be reached on foot someday, there are 5 stars for the location. :-)

Wir achten stets darauf, dass sich unsere Gäste vom ersten Moment wohl und bestens aufgehoben fühlen. Kleine Aufmerksamkeiten zum Empfang, eine erstklassige Ausstattung der Wohnung, der gepflegte Garten als Visitenkarte des Hauses und ein individueller Service bei persönlichen Anliegen, wann immer sie mal notwendig sind, stehen für uns im Vordergrund. Ob organisatorisch oder technisch, unser Team steht unseren Gästen immer gern zur Seite.
Bis zur Deichkrone sind es dann noch knapp 8 km, zur nächsten Badestelle 12. Manchmal ist etwas Distanz zur tosenden Nordsee auch ganz praktisch. Wer nicht will deichen, muss weichen. Der neue Klimadeich hält sein Versprechen. Mit etwas Abstand und erhöhter Deichkrone schläft man allerdings viel besser :).
Es freut uns sehr, dass Sie einen rundum angenehmen Aufenthalt auf ausgezeichnetem Niveau bei uns genossen haben. Verstehen dies als Ansporn, weiterhin immer unser Bestes geben. Nochmals besten Dank für Ihre anerkennenden Zeilen.
