Cancellation terms:
Free cancellation is possible up to 60 days before the arrival day. Cancellation Policy: Withdrawal by the tenant a) The tenant can withdraw from the lease before the start of the rental period by written statement to the landlord. The time of receipt of the declaration of withdrawal by the landlord is decisive. b) If the tenant withdraws from the lease, he must pay a flat-rate compensation for the costs incurred by the landlord and the lost profit in the following amounts: - Withdrawal up to 45 days before the start of the rental period: 20% (but at least 25 EURO) - Withdrawal up to 35 days before the start of the rental period: 50% - Thereafter and in case of no-show: 100% c) The tenant is entitled to prove that the landlord has incurred no or significantly less damage. d) Upon withdrawal, the tenant may name a replacement tenant who is willing to enter into the existing lease in his place. The landlord can object to the entry of the third party if he appears economically or personally unreliable. If a third party enters into the lease, he and the former tenant are jointly and severally liable to the landlord for the rent and the additional costs incurred by the third party's entry. It is recommended that the tenant purchase travel cancellation insurance.

Relaxed vacation
We had a beautiful and relaxing vacation. Everything was available as listed, clean upon our arrival, and everything was as agreed upon. It is incredibly quiet and idyllic, slightly remote yet central for starting many excursions. We had great weather, and the lake was pleasantly warm for swimming, and with the available boat, crossing the lake was a breeze. The hot tub and sauna are, of course, a highlight and were gladly occupied. The terrace with the grill and the large garden were dreamy and were gladly used. On our next visit, we might book a stand-up paddle, which is definitely possible somewhere nearby. There is just one small point, namely that the beds are not really suitable for tall people because they are not open at the bottom, but this is more of a personal opinion. Otherwise, we were very satisfied with the house and would gladly come back.

Very beautiful house
We really enjoyed our stay at the holiday home by Lake Dümmer. The house was exceptionally clean and well-equipped – nothing was missing. We would especially like to highlight the very nice and helpful landlords who welcomed us warmly. The location is ideal for exploring the lake while also enjoying peace and quiet. We would recommend the house at any time and would love to come back.

Family vacation
We had another wonderful and peaceful family vacation, our third time here. We lacked for nothing, great accommodation, excellent facilities, and amazing weather. We will keep coming back.

Nice house, but.....
It is a nice vacation home in a good location.
But...... the arrival is stated from 4 PM, and we were lucky with our arrival and were actually at the property by 9:30 AM. We walked around the house, rang the bell. No reaction, as the key was left for us, we took possession of the house. Fatal mistake, because it didn’t take long before the landlord showed up and was incredibly upset that we dared to occupy his house before 4 PM (I’ll spare the remaining comments). He would charge us extra for that. Of course, one could have tried to contact the owner by phone, but we were so happy that the house was already ready. A deposit of €200.00 must be paid for potential damages for the house. But our landlord withheld €100.00 from the deposit for the early arrival of 6.5 hours. To my inquiry about how he arrived at this amount, I have received no response to this day. Very unfortunate, as one begins to wonder who is being unreasonable here. SO WARNING; ANYONE WANTING TO RENT THE HOUSE; DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 4 PM; OTHERWISE, A PART OF THE DEPOSIT IS GONE.

Es ist als langjähriger Vermieter mit durchweg positiven Bewertungen schwer, sich angemessen zu den Vorwürfen zu äußern.
Wir sind außerordentlich bemüht, unsere Häuser so frühzeitig wie möglich, den Gästen zur Verfügung zu stellen. Faktisch gelingt uns das immer und nie gab es Anlass zur Kritik.
Die Gäste hatten eine Anreise von maximal drei Stunden zu erwarten.
Hier mit Glück bei der Anreise zu argumentieren und dass Ferienhaus ehrlicherweise schon um 09.00 Uhr ohne Rücksprache mit uns zu betreten, haben wir noch nie erlebt und ist schlichtweg nicht in Ordnung.
Die Argumentation im eigenen Sinne ist natürlich normal.
Meine Frau wollte noch Restarbeiten im Haus erledigen, da kamen ihr die Gäste schon entgegen.
Danach suchte ich das Gespräch und wir hatten schnell eine Einigung, dass eine Nachberechnung erfolgen kann. Die Unterstellungen hinsichtlich der Kommunikation lasse ich unbeantwortet.
Der Weg über die Kaution ist die einfachste und unkomplizierteste Lösung.
Kautionen dienen nur in sehr seltenen Ausnahmefällen zur Begleichung von Schäden.
Hier argumentieren die Gäste nur im
eigenen Sinne.
Über die Kautionen werden die verbrauchten Hausnebenkosten verrechnet, Zusatzleistungen beglichen wie z.B. das Nachbuchen von Wäschepaketen, Fahrradverleih und wie hier eine zusätzliche Teilmiete u.v.m.
Jetzt nachzutreten, obwohl alles im
Sinne der Gäste verlief, spricht aus unserer Sicht für sich und wir bitten den Leser selbst zu bewerten, wer hier unverschämt ist.

A beautiful holiday home in a quiet location right by the lake.
We can only recommend a vacation in this holiday home. We spent a wonderfully beautiful week here, went swimming in the lake every morning (2 minutes' walk away), used the house's motorboat, explored the entire Dümmer Lake, and made many trips to the surrounding area (Schwerin, Lübeck). We felt completely comfortable. The house is very clean, stylishly and modernly furnished, and has a huge garden. Even in winter, it is definitely beautiful with the sauna.
