The holiday home Groeterstaete 8 is located on the first floor (an elevator is available) in a small apartment complex in the center of Groet in North Holland. It is ideal for a family holiday. The beach is only 2 km away. Within 8 to 10 minutes by bike you are already at the beach!
A bike rental is located diagonally opposite the building.
The spacious holiday home in Groet is nicely and comfortably furnished and has a beautiful location with a lovely view. The living room has French doors with a French balcony.
Layout:
Hallway with separate toilet, spacious living room with comfortable armchairs, TV and Wi-Fi in the house. Dining table and an open and fully equipped small kitchen (with dishwasher, oven, etc.). Bedroom with double bed (160x200) and a small bedroom with bunk bed. Modern bathroom with double shower and washbasin. Parking is free on the street. Parking in Groet is free. You can park your bicycles in the communal bicycle shed.

Right behind the apartment building, beautiful cycling and hiking trails lead through forest and dunes to the beach.
In Groet, there is a small supermarket, bakery, bicycle rental, restaurants, and 'cozy' terraces. During the summer months, Groet offers a night market every Monday evening.
A fantastic mountain bike course is also just a few minutes' walk from the holiday apartment. Parking at the beach is possible - there is a large parking lot.

Together with Bergen and Schoorl, Groet offers a very rich variety of everything on a small scale. There are fantastic cycling and walking routes through dunes and woodland and hundreds of kilometres of sandy beaches. In the nearby artists' village of Bergen you will find art markets, galleries and opportunities to go out with live music. Alkmaar, famous for its old town, weekly cheese market and canal cruises, offers fantastic shopping and is about 15 km from Groet. Amsterdam can be reached in approx. 60 km - 40 min by train from Alkmaar to the centre of Amsterdam.

Groeter State 8, unfortunately no recommendation
First, to the location:
It is beautiful and well situated, and -especially if you are cycling frequently- very nice. In the area, there are several restaurants and also a Spar market right next door.
About the apartment:
The apartment is pleasantly spacious for 2 people. The basic furnishings are acceptable.
Points of criticism:
The sofa is absolutely unsuitable for comfortable seating for more than one adult person and I am halfway through sitting it down completely. The chairs/armchairs provided invite hardly more than half an hour of sitting and are simply uncomfortable. The bed is an absolute disaster. It consists of two separate frames on wheels (great, you also often wake up in the morning with a large gap between the beds). The beds are far too low and completely sagging. The mattresses are not of good quality and are already completely worn out.
The apartment building is very noisy. You can observe everything from the other guests. No parking is available for apartment 8. You have to park in the village.
