The house is very clean and well-maintained. The washing machine, refrigerator, and dishwasher are in top condition. Everything is available in the kitchen. The house is also well-equipped overall; nothing is missing. There is even a changing table. Great

We have booked the vacation home of the Schmiedl family with two small children.

The house is very clean and well-maintained. The washing machine, refrigerator, and dishwasher are in top condition. Everything is available in the kitchen. The house is well-equipped overall; nothing is missing.

There are even changing mats and extra pillows for children. The bed linen looks as good as new, and you really feel comfortable. The bathroom is also very clean. I was particularly happy about the fly screens in almost all rooms.

Wi-Fi and smart TV are even available in the bedroom.

The garden is also very well maintained, and you can sit very comfortably on the terrace. There is a swing for children.

It takes just a few minutes to walk to the beach. The area is very quiet and pleasant.

If we come to Damp again next year, we would gladly stay in this house. :-)

Holiday home to feel good

We were looking for a holiday home by the sea in autumn and came across this offer. The house was a hit. Lovely furnishings, just the way we like it.
During the day we went on extensive bike tours, relaxed in the sauna in the evening and then sat comfortably in front of the stove.
We felt good all around.

First vacation with grandchild (2 years old)

The three of us spent a very nice week in this house. We can only confirm the aforementioned advantages.

However, some comments cannot be avoided:

As already mentioned above, a sandbox would be recommended. Otherwise, children tend to play with the small gravel stones from the flowerbeds.

In the rental price, laundry should actually be included, especially since making the beds in the not overly spacious master bedroom can be quite difficult for older guests. It would be practical and nice if the drain in the shower tray could be closed to be able to bathe small children in it.

Mr. Schmiedl addressed the issue with the wasp nest on the terrace constructively over the phone.

We can definitely imagine a holiday repeat at the Pirate.

The house is very nicely furnished and well maintained. We really liked the barrel sauna, which we used every evening. The garden is very well kept and the terrace invites you to eat outside

Absolut super Häuschen

We were a party of two at the Pirate holiday home and we loved it. The first impression was already great when you see the barrel sauna at the entrance and the house. Inside and outside very well-maintained and clean. Very cozy furnishings and a good layout of the rooms.

Everything you need in the house to have a carefree and independent holiday is available. The fireplace provides cozy evenings on cold days. And for those who don't feel like making a fire, they can turn on the heating, which quickly warms up the house.

On beautiful days, the terrace equipped with furniture and loungers allows you to watch squirrels and rabbits frolic on mild evenings. With a sausage on the grill, which is also provided, it's really enjoyable. The spacious property, lined with hedges that also serve as privacy screens, offers plenty of space for kids to play. Another great highlight is, of course, the barrel sauna where we could relax very well.
It took us less than five minutes to walk to the beach in Damp. Once there, you get everything you could expect in a holiday destination.
In the Baltic Sea resort of Damp, you generally find everything you would expect in a small town (from a small Edeka supermarket, hairdresser, to a pizzeria), not to mention the fish sandwiches and crêpes (for those who don't want to leave the Baltic Sea resort). Nevertheless, everything was peaceful and sensual, so that no city feeling arises, that was our impression. The landlord, Mr. Schmiedl, was very friendly, reliable, and accommodating if you had a question or something else on your mind. And if not, we could absolutely enjoy our privacy. In conclusion, it can be said that one can spend a dream vacation at Haus Pirat, which will probably be over much too quickly. We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to it. Warm greetings to the Schmiedl family and thank you for everything! Great praise!

Ein tolles Haus

Hello,

we (2 adults, 2 children [4 and 7 years old]) rented the Pirate house for a week in late June. The layout and furnishings of the house are optimal: 1 living room with dining area and satellite TV (we brought a BD player with us and it connected easily to the TV via HDMI), a well-equipped small kitchen (fridge, stove, sink, microwave, storage space, and washing machine), 1 modern renovated bathroom (shower, toilet, sink, mirrored cabinet), 1 children's bedroom with bunk beds, 1 bedroom with a double bed for the parents. A small covered terrace with a shed (grill, clothesline, broom) perfectly complements the house.

Around the house, there is a small lawn area that is protected from view by bushes. It invites children to play.

A parking space for the car is within a few steps' walking distance.

By car, 10 minutes towards Kappeln, you will find Aldi, Sky (premium groceries + household and electrical goods), a beverage market, and a bakery. From the house, many great things can be reached on foot in short distances: the beach, a fantastic indoor pool with 3 slides for different age groups, an indoor playground, a diverse outdoor playground, and a small shopping street with an ice cream parlor.

By car, the Viking Museum Haithabu can be reached in a 3/4 hour drive towards Schleswig.

The landlord, Mr. Schmiedl, is very friendly and reliable. As constructive suggestions for improvement, we recommend adding a sandbox and a double swing for the lawn area, as well as installing WiFi in the house. Be careful with the "restaurant" in the indoor pool: they serve only the worst cafeteria food. It's better to bring some healthy sandwiches, fruit, and vegetables. And just ignore the signs about consuming your own food and drinks ;-) .

In conclusion, I can say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were able to relax wonderfully for a week and thanks to the entertainment options listed above, we were never bored.

Wir waren ganze zwei im Ferienhaus Pirat und es hat uns super gefallen. Schon der allererste Eindruck war toll, wenn man am EIngang die Fasssauna und das Haus sieht. Innen wie außen sehr gepflegt und sauber. Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und eine gute Aufteilung der Räume. Alles was man im Haus benötigt, wenn man sorgenlos und unabhängig Urlaub machen möchte, ist vorhanden. Der Kamin sorgt für kuschelige Abende an kalten Tagen. Und wer keine Lust hat, Feuer zu machen, der dreht die Heizung auf, welche das Haus schnell warm macht. An schönen Tagen erlaubt die Terrasse mit Möbeln und Liegen ausgestattet, den Eichhörnchen und Kaninchen an lauen Abenden beim rum tollen zu beobachten. Mit einer Wurst auf dem Grill, welcher ebenfalls gestellt wird, lässt es so super aushalten. Das Grundstück welches mit Hecken, die auch als Sichtschutz dienen, ist sehr geräumig und bietet Platz für Kids zum spielen. Ein weiteres super Highlight ist natürlich die Fasssauna, in der wir super gut entspannen konnten. Keine fünf Minuten sind wir bis zum Strand in Damp gelaufen. Dort angekommen, bekommt man alles geboten, was man in einem Urlaubsort erwarten könnte. Im Ostseebad Damp findet man allgemein alles, was es nicht auch in einer kleinen Stadt geben würde (vom kleinen Edeka, über Frisör, bis zur Pizzaria), um die Fischbrötchen und Crêpes nicht zu vergessen (Wer das Ostseebad also nicht verlassen will). Dennoch alles ruhig und sinnlich gehalten, sodass kein Stadtfeeling aufkommt, war unser Eindruck. Der Vermieter Herr Schmiedl war sehr freundlich, seriös und zuvorkommend, wenn man eine Frage oder anderes auf dem Herzen hatte. Und wenn nicht, konnten wir unsere Privatsphäre absolut genießen. Abschließend kann man sagen, dass man Haus Pirat einen Traumhaften Urlaub verbringen kann, welcher wohl viel zu schnell wieder vorbei sein wird. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und freuen uns jetzt schon darauf. Herzlich gegrüßt sei die Familie Schmiedl und wir bedanken uns für alles! Großes Lob!

Hallo, wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder [4 und 7 Jahre]) hatten das Haus Pirat für eine Woche Ende Juni gemietet. Der Schnitt und die Einrichtung des Hauses sind optimal: 1 Wohnzimmer mit Essecke und Sat TV (BD Player hatten wir mit und ließ sich per HDMI problemlos am TV anschließen), eine gut ausgestattete kleine Küche (Kühlschrank, Herd, Spüle, Mikrowelle, Stauraum und Waschmaschine), 1 modern saniertes Bad (Dusche, WC, Waschbecken Spiegelschrank), 1 Kinderschlafzimmer mit Hochbett, 1 Schlafzimmer mit Ehebett für die Eltern. Eine kleine überdachte Terasse mit Schuppen (Grill, Wäscheständer, Besen) rundet das Haus perfekt ab. Um das Haus herum befindet sich eine kleine Rasenfläche, die durch Büsche vor Einsicht geschützt ist. Sie lädt Kinder zum Spielen ein. Ein Parkplatz fürs Auto ist zu Fuß in wenigen Schritten erreichbar. Mit dem Auto 10 Minuten Richtung Kappeln entfernt befinden sich Aldi, Sky (Premium Lebensmittel + Haushalts- und Elektrowaren), ein Getränkemarkt und ein Bäcker. Vom Haus aus sind viele tolle Sachen zu Fuß auf kurzen Wegen erreichbar: Der Strand, ein tolles Hallenbad mit 3 Rutschen für verschiedene Alterstufen, ein Indoor Spielplatz, ein toller vielfältiger Outdoor Spielplatz und eine kleine Shoppingmeile mit Eiscafé. Mit dem Auto ist in einer 3/4 Stunde Richtung Schleswig das Wikingermuseum Haitabu erreichbar. Der Vermieter, Herr Schmiedl, ist sehr freundlich und zuverlässig. Als konstruktive Verbesserungsvorschläge empfehlen wir für die Rasenfläche eine Sandkiste und eine Doppelschaukel sowie WLAN im Haus. Und Vorsicht vor dem "Restaurant" im Hallenbad: Hier gibt es nur übelstes Kantinenessen der alleruntersten Kategorie. Lieber ein paar gesunde Brote, Obst und Gemüse mitnehmen. Und die Hinweise "Der Verzehr von mitgebrachten Speisen und Getränken..." einfach ignorieren ;-) . Abschließend kann ich sagen, dass es uns rundum gefallen hat. Wir konnten eine Woche toll entspannen und Dank der oben aufgeführten Möglichkeiten zur Zerstreuung wurde uns nie langweilig. Vielen Dank und viele Grüße.
