Description
Wonderful, very spacious 165sqm holiday flat, quietly located on the outskirts of Königsfeld, the gateway to Franconian Switzerland. The ideal starting point for various activities: such as hiking, climbing, cycling, skiing and cross-country skiing and various day trips
There is a covered staircase leading to the separate entrance. The flat itself is at ground level.
It consists of 2 bedrooms with double beds (can also be converted into 4 bed rooms); modern bathroom with corner bath, walk-in shower, Wc, urinal, double sink and washing machine; and a bathroom with shower and WC
Living room with couch set and 2 sep. double sleeping beds, play corner for the little ones
modern, well-equipped kitchen with microwave, electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and dining area.
Internet access.
Covered terrace (with additional awning), beach chair, table and chairs, and a barbecue fireplace
A sauna is available for an extra charge.
In the garden there is a pool house with heated pool (only in the summer months), covered seating for cosy evenings
There are also various toys such as a sandpit, trampoline, a climbing tower with slide and swing.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday flat is in a quiet location on the outskirts of Königsfeld, only 150m from the centre of the village.
The garden is ideal for children as it is secluded and away from the road.
The flat itself is at ground level, stairs are only outside/entrance and towards the garden.
In the garden there is a pool house with a heated pool (heat pump; the pool is used by us and the holiday guests)
As well as various children's toys such as climbing tower with slide and swing.
Königsfeld is a small village with about 650 inhabitants. In the centre of the village there is 1 restaurant and a small bakery. The newly renovated parish church of St. James the Elder and St. Catherine is also worth a visit. It is one of the oldest rural churches in the archdiocese of Bamberg
Many excursions can be started from Königsfeld, such as the world cultural city of Bamberg, the festival city of Bayreuth, the beer city of Kulmbach, Pottenstein, Kronach Fortress, the Basilica of Vierzehnheiligen, Banz Monastery, Staffelberg, the thermal baths of Obernsees and Staffelstein, Tambach Wildlife Park, Thurn Castle Leisure Park, Greifenstein Castle, the Forest Summit Trail in Ebrach, as well as the well-known beer hiking trail to the various breweries in the area.
There is also a climbing forest in Veilbronn.

In winter, there are plenty of opportunities for cross-country skiing and sledging in the immediate vicinity.

An experience!
Christmas in Franconia had long been a dream of the family. The older ones had experienced it with the grandparents, while the younger ones did not know it. So we traveled as a 10-member family (ages between 8 and 76 years) from southern France with 3 cars, all of which found a parking space right in front of the house. All our expectations regarding the accommodation were met: spacious, practically furnished, and tastefully decorated, well insulated and perfectly equipped. The Köhler family was helpful and discreet; they even got us a Christmas tree (with stand!) that was already in the apartment ready to be decorated.
We spent 6 beautiful, cold days in Königsfeld; maybe we will come back in the summer to enjoy the swimming pool. See you soon!

Beautiful walking/cultural holiday
Very nice flat with enough space. Very nice sauna. I can recommend the flat without reservation
Bamberg was also only about half an hour away by car. It all fitted very well. However, you do need a car. Grocery shops and the surrounding towns can (almost) only be reached by car.
Very friendly hosts. The flat is recommended.

Dear Fam.Kohler
Thank you for the week we spent with you. We felt very comfortable. The apartment is super nice and equipped with everything you need on holiday. People who don't feel comfortable with you have probably only ever spent their holidays in a tent. The only thing we have to complain about is that the garden could do with a little cutting so that it is easier to get to the swimming pool. Otherwise, the cooling in the pool is just great. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and acquaintances.

It all worked out great for us.
Dear Kohler family,
Thank you very much for the opportunity to spend our short vacation and small family gathering in your beautiful, spacious and well-equipped holiday apartment.
Everything was there and even more. If we had stayed longer, we could have definitely enjoyed a swim in the pool, used the sauna or had a cozy barbecue. Perhaps it will work out again soon.
Hikers or city travelers will also find a good starting point from Königsfeld, and there are also some dining options in the surrounding area and in the town itself. For beer lovers, the region is already a hotspot!
Our dog also had something to discover and had already become accustomed to the apartment over time.
In conclusion - we fondly remember this vacation and would be pleased if it works out again.
