Location and surroundings of object
You will find our small holiday complex on the outskirts of Koserow, on the south side of the Streckelsberg.
A super location for a totally relaxed holiday
No matter what you feel like doing - it's close by
You want to go to the beach? - That's easy - about 8 - 10 minutes' walk along one of the many paths, right through under the beech trees of Streckelsberg, and you're standing by the sea
You feel like a walk in the green? - It's easy - just about 1 minute and you're in the middle of a dense forest
You want to go into town for a bite to eat? - Just walk down Meinholdstraße and you're in the centre of town.
The seaside resort of Koserow is a little quieter than the big seaside resorts on the island
Berliners often tell us - I have noise and hustle and bustle at home - I don't go on holiday for that! You are right!
In Koserow you will find a very nice gastronomic offer, a few bakers, supermarkets, banks, a pharmacy and the largest mini-golf course on the Baltic coast.
If the weather is bad, it's only a short walk and you can go to Karl's Erdbeerhof for wonderful shopping, eating, making sweets with the children, baking, petting animals, marvelling, playing and much more.
Evenings at the drive-in cinema on the outskirts of the village can also be very romantic. With a nice glass of wine, a bag of nibbles and your favourite person at the drive-in - how long has it been since you did something like that?
Meinholdstraße is a cosy residents' street
It's quiet here, quite idyllic and very familiar.
The address of our holiday flats
Meinholdstraße 33 a in 17459 Koserow

Today Koserow is a youthful seaside resort where sporty holidaymakers can experience a very relaxing and beautiful holiday just as they did 100 years ago.
The resort has spruced itself up a lot in recent years
A pretty pier and a nice pier forecourt with attractive restaurants have been built. A new network of streets and footpaths has been invested in for the guests. The largest mini-golf course on the Baltic Sea coast was initiated by a private developer, and in 2016, Karl's strawberry farm will be added to the village.
The gastronomy in the village offers a delicious selection for every day of the holiday. Our personal favourite is the tapas bar in the centre of town, because there is always something going on here. The food is great and in the summer there is often a lot of atmospheric live music for little money.
Nevertheless - in Koserow everything is a little smaller and more manageable than in the sophisticated seaside resorts. Now this - it's quite clearly more cosy and you won't be "run down"!
A little history if required:
Koserow, first mentioned in a document in 1347 as Cuzerowe, is one of the oldest settlements on the island. The Koserow church, built as a fieldstone church as early as the end of the 13th century, is the oldest church on the Usedom Baltic coast.
The name of the village stands for an exciting history on our island. It is said that the legendary city of Vineta once lay off the coast of Koserow.
The feared pirate "Claus Störtebeker" also once had a hideout in the caves of Streckelsberg. So the story goes
The area between Koserow and Zempin is the narrowest part of the island, with only 300 metres of land between the Baltic Sea and the Achterwasser. This is where "Lüttenort" is located today, the former place of work of the famous painter Otto Niemeyer Holstein
If you are interested in painting, "Lüttenort" should be a "must" on your holiday.
The Koserow salt huts are also a must-see. They were built around 1820 as part of a measure initiated by the royal government to promote beach fishing along the entire Usedom coast and initially served as a store for tax-free rock salt supplied by the state
During the herring fishing season, the herring was salted and packed in these huts under state supervision. Today you can buy delicious smoked fish here, eat fish very nicely in a quaint restaurant or drink a fine rum with tea after a long walk on the beach in winter
My personal favourite - when it's storming outside, is the little hut by the cosy

Very nice apartment in a quiet area, but too far to walk to shopping. The shower is very very small. Dogs are allowed in the 4-unit house, which has often been very noisy. The water is a 10-minute walk away. Parking fees on Usedom are very moderate.
recommend for: adventure and experience, holiday with children, holiday without car, holiday for singles, beach holiday

Great !!
We have been to the holiday apartment complex several times now, and we stayed in the top floor and ground floor apartments, and both times we were very satisfied. Anytime again!! Those with pets should go there, as it is very close to Streckelsberg and you can reach the beach in about 10 minutes (a leisurely walk). There are shopping opportunities around the corner. It is very quiet, perfect for those who want to escape from everyday life.
recommend for: holiday with children, holiday with pet
