We have been going on vacation to Fonte Pecorale with our family for 15 years now.
It is always nice to spend the summer there. The facility is tip-top clean and well-maintained. The hosts are always attentive to their guests. There are many sights to see in the region. Even after 15 years, we always discover something new. By car, you can reach the fine sandy beach in Pineto in about 30 minutes. Or in 1.5 hours, you can be in Rome.
But the Gran Sasso mountain range also offers incredible views with many small towns.
The saltwater pool and vegetable garden are also highlights.

A little paradise

We stayed for 2 weeks in the apartment "la stalla". We felt completely comfortable, the apartment leaves nothing to be desired in terms of equipment. The landlords are super nice, generous and give great tips for tours, restaurants and much more. The swimming pool is a dream. I can only recommend this house.

An idyll to slow down and enjoy!

First of all, we would like to thank our incredibly generous hosts Ester and Pacelmo. You made sure that we didn't miss anything during our stay at LA STALLA. We felt completely comfortable on the lovingly designed Fonte Pecorale estate.
The four of us, two adults and two young adults, enjoyed every day here. Whether it was refreshing in the pool or relaxing on a lounger under the olive tree. Everyone found a cozy spot to relax on the spacious property.
Together, we spent beautiful evenings on the covered terrace right next to the house. We simply moved the cozy, very well-equipped kitchen outside. Our table was filled with delicious vegetables from the organic garden, fresh eggs, and olive oil to enhance our dishes. Simply delicious!
Although we have often spent our holidays in Abruzzo, Pacelmo had many new tips for us regarding culture, leisure activities, and restaurant recommendations.
The proximity to the sea as well as to the mountains contributed to a diverse holiday experience in Abruzzo with hiking tours in the Grand Sasso area, morning bike rides, or trips to the beach.
But above all, we enjoyed the peace and quiet in the beautiful hilly landscape, the nature, and the great view up here and felt very comfortable.

Perfect break from everyday life!

We felt very comfortable with Ester and Friedhelm. The accommodation is lovingly furnished and offers everything you need for a vacation. The great garden, including the pool, is very idyllic. You can relax wonderfully and enjoy the peace there. Friedhelm always has tips for day trips and hikes. We had a great time in the Abruzzo region and will be back soon.

Simply incredibly beautiful. We spent two weeks at La Stalla and enjoyed the house, the garden, the pool, the tranquility, the view, simply everything. You can save on travel guides and navigation... they help wherever they can and there is nothing impossible. Beautiful days in great nature - addictive factor

We spent two and a half weeks with Ester and Friedhelm and enjoyed every hour: cooling off in the pool with a view of the surrounding hills and towns in the morning; driving to the beach in Pineto in the afternoon - Italian dolce vita; visiting the Gothic frescoes by Andrea Dilitio in Atri in the afternoon; eating fish in the evening at Lido Itaca and then winding our way back at sunset through an indescribable nature. The property, our vacation rental, the many views, insights, and places of tranquility quickly became our temporary home.

Small oasis far from mass tourism!

Recovering, reflecting on the essentials, and enjoying nature can be done with Ester and Friedhelm to 150 percent. We felt very comfortable and above all welcome.

We stayed in the holiday cottage "la stalla" and felt at home from the beginning. Everything was very clean and the inventory left nothing to be desired. We even had our own small garden area. There is also a washing machine, so it is not necessary to pack many clothes.

The heart of the property is definitely the saltwater pool, the many olive trees, and the vegetable garden. We visited the latter almost daily and provided ourselves with the most delicious tomatoes in the world. At the pool, we were able to relax, let our gaze wander into the distance, and pamper our skin with warming rays of sunshine.

Friedhelm provided us with recommendations for excursions every day, all of which were worth a trip. He could also always perfectly describe the routes to the destinations. Especially the mountain landscapes here are incredibly impressive. Completely different from the Bavarian Alps - differently beautiful!

But our personal highlight were definitely the animals on the property. Bomba (dog) always looked after us and occasionally stopped by on our terrace. But also not every day, so one could have found it bothersome. We had great joy with the kittens, which we grew very fond of. We would have loved to pack them all up and take them with us.

Anyone who loves nature and appreciates it is in good hands at Landhaus Fonte Pecorale. Ester & Friedhelm have given us an unforgettable vacation and getting to know them has enriched us.

perfekte Erholung ist garantiert

Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit im Landhaus Fonte Pecorale / La Stalla als Familie mit 2 Kindern (13 und 16 Jahre). Reichlich genossen wir die Ruhe, die Aussicht, den großartigen Pool, oft ganz für uns alleine, die herrlichen Tomaten und die angenehme Gastfreundschaft. Sehr freundliche Vermieter, alles war sauber und ausreichend. Fragen wurden stets zuvorkommend beantwortet und wir bekamen Ideen für Ausflüge. Pacelmos Wegbeschreibungen funktionierten immer, besser als unser Navi. Die Lage ist optimal zwischen Gebirge und Meer, zu beidem kann man Ausflüge unternehmen. Weil es aber so schön in Fonte Pecorale war, blieben wir an den meisten Tagen dort und hingen einfach ab. War ja schließlich Urlaub! SUPER! Auf jeden Fall kommen wir wieder!

très bonne impression d'ensemble : accueil très sympathique, équipements en très bon état, piscine exceptionnelle avec une vue magnifique. la tranquillité est totale. le seul petit défaut est l'isolement relatif de la location, avec des routes un peu compliquées et des temps de parcours assez long, mais la location en elle même est vraiment parfaite !

Idylle in den Abruzzen

Vielen Dank an Esther und Friedhelm für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft.
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, La Stalla war super und Bestens ausgestattet.
Die Lage wunderschön, Erholung pur. Endlich mal eine Unterkunft fernab von jedem Massentourismus, nur zu empfehlen.

Ein Geheimtipp!

Wir kommen seit 16 Jahren hierher und jedesmal ist es wieder wunderbar. Friedhelm und Ester sind hervorragende Gastgeber und stets mit guten Tipps (Restaurants, Ausflüge) zur Stelle. Die drei Appartements sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bieten alles, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Den großen Garten schmücken Olivenbäume, Rosen und Lavendel. Im Obst- und Gemüsegarten darf sich auch der Gast bedienen. Die Gegend ist ein tolles Urlaubsziel, da sie nicht so touristisch ist wie die nördlichere Adria. Ein authentischer Landstreifen Italien. Die Hügellandschaft begeistert uns jedes Jahr aufs Neue.Man genießt hier Strand und Berge gleichermaßen. Seit 2018 steht den Gästen auf dem Anwesen Fonte Pecorale ein riesiger Pool zur Verfügung. Von dort aus kann man seinen Blick in die weite Hügellandschaft schweifen lassen. Wenn man einmal da war, kommt man immer wieder.

Kleinod in den Abruzzen

Ein Urlaub auf der Fonte Pecorale vereint Strand, Berge, Entspannung und ein einzigartiges Panorama auf die wunderschöne Landschaft der Abruzzen. Seit über 10 Jahren fahren wir nun schon an diesen tollen Ort und genießen die friedliche Atmosphäre - zunächst noch zu zweit, mittlerweile mit unseren beiden Kindern. Wir durften bereits in allen der drei Apartments wohnen. Jedes ist von den liebenswürdigen Gastgebern Friedhelm und Ester individuell und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sodass man sich hier sofort wohlfühlt. Ob beim morgendlichen Kaffee mit Blick auf die kleinen Dörfer rundherum oder im blühenden, gepflegten Garten beim Aperitif. Zudem lädt der 12 m lange quasi Infinity-Pool mit wunderbarer Aussicht zum Schwimmen und Planschen ein.
Möchte man doch ans Meer, bietet der feine flachabfallende Sandstrand in Pineto ein ideales Badevergnügen für die ganze Familie. Doch die Fonte Pecorale, eine liebevoll restaurierte Azienda aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, ist auch perfekter Ausgangspunkt für einen Ausflug in die Berge der umliegenden Nationalparks. Sowohl das Majella Bergmassiv im Süden als auch der Gran Sasso im Norden offenbaren eine eindrucksvolle Natur mit aussichtsreichen Gipfeln. Einsame Wege und mittelalterliche Dörfchen laden zum Erkunden und Verweilen ein. Mit Friedhelm und Esters Insidertipps entdecken wir auch immer neue Wanderrouten und Restaurants, die in keinem Reiseführer zu finden sind.
Fast möchten wir diesen Geheimtipp gar nicht preisgeben, so sehr genießen wir unsere Urlaube auf der Fonte Pecorale.

wie immer fantastischer Urlaub!

Wir kommen an diesen tollen Platz seit vielen Jahren und der Urlaub ist immer fantastisch. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und fürsorglich. Jetzt wurde noch ein riesiger Pool gebaut von dem man bei schönem Wetter die Berge sowie das Meer sehen kann. Ich kann diesen Ort einfach nur empfehlen. Alle drei Wohnungen sind sehr schön. Man hat viel Platz. Ein toller und netter Hund ist für Tierliebhaber eine Freude. Insgesamt auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert.

Bis nächestes Jahr, Fonte Pecorale!

Wenn man durch die Bewertungen zu Fonte Pecorale stöbert, so fallen zwei Dinge ins Auge - die Gäste kommen immer wieder und sie schätzen und genießen dieselben Besonderheiten an diesem spezellen Fleckchen in den Abruzzen, der Fonte Pecorale. Uns geht es auch so. Durch einen Tipp meines Bruders machten wir bei Ester und Friedhelm zum ersten Mal vor 10 Jahren Urlaub, noch ohne Kinder, noch nicht verheiratet. Seither kamen wir nahezu jedes Jahr wieder, die letzten beiden Wochen erneut, nun mit kleinen Kindern, die hier schwimmen lernen und erste Sätze auf italienisch sprechen wollen. Es ist wohl die besondere Mischung aus Herzlichkeit und Ortskenntnis der Gastgeber, Abgelegenheit und doch Nähe der Fonte Pecorale zu netten kleinen Orten, die Kombination aus atemberaubender Bergwelt und schönem Strand. Es gibt nach 10 Jahren immer noch Neues zu entdecken, obwohl wir eigentlich immer wieder kommen, um einfach nur das schon Erlebte erneut zu geniessen. Bis nächestes Jahr, Fonte Pecorale!

Very nice, clean and well equiped holidayhome with a nice roofed terrace. Beautiful surroundings and quiet location in between the mountains and sea. The owners are very friendly and give great advice on what places to visit. You can pick vegatables (great tasting tomatoes!) from the garden and tap your own wine. They also sell olive oil. Towels and sheets are provided and changed weekly. Our kids (11 and 9) loved playing with the dog and cats. We had a great holiday at La Stalla!Kommentar hinzufügen

Frei nach Goethe: Die Gäste, die ich rief,........

Es geht auch uns wie so vielen hier: Wer die Fonte Pecorale, die Abruzzen und vor allem Ester und Friedhelm einmal kennengelernt hat, der wird immer wiederkommen. Die Fonte Pecorale ist ein idealer Ort um in ungewöhnlicher, teils bizarrer Landschaft so richtig auszuspannen, die Abruzzen bieten so unglaublich viel (Kunst, Kultur, Berge, Altertümliches, Meer, Küche - da ist garantiert für Jeden etwas dabei) und Ester und Friedhelm mit ihrer Liebenswürdigkeit sind dann das "Sahnehäubchen" obendrauf. Einen gehörigen Nachteil hat ein Aufenthalt auf der Fonte Pecorale allerdings: Man verpasst mehr oder weniger die Gelegenheit, auch andere Ecken von "Bella Italia" kennenzulernen (ausgenommen auch bereits mit Pacelmo unternommene Ausflüge nach Rom, Neapel oder Apulien), weil es einen eben immer wieder dahin zieht. P.S.: In einer der vielen schönen Stunde, in denen ich träumend im gepflegten Garten der Fonte Pecorale lag, kam es mir in den Sinn, "Friedhelm" zu italianisieren (ich glaube: er mag das Ergebnis). Ein Geheimtipp

Wir machen seit 15 Jahren Ferien in Fonte Pecorale und sind jedes Jahr aufs Neue begeistert. Die Gastgeber Ester und Friedhelm sind sehr hilfsbereit und haben wunderbare Tipps für Ausflüge in die Gegend, in die Berge, ans Meer oder für Restaurants. Die Ferienwohnungen in Fonte Pecorale sind etwas Leute, die Urlaub in Italien abseits vom üblichen Trubel machen wollen. Die Wohnungen sind alle sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, der Garten ist wundervoll. Auch unsere Kinder lieben den Urlaub bei Ester und Friedhelm.

Fonte Fantastico :-)

Im Mai waren wir das erste Mal für gute 3 Wochen bei Friedhelm und Ester auf der Fonte Pecorale. Ein Traum! Die FeWo "Il Pozzo", ein kuscheliges, mit liebevoller Hand eingerichtetes Refugium mit allem, was man braucht und noch viel mehr. Auf den zwei eigenen Terrassen und im wunderschönen Garten lässt es sich bestens relaxen und wohin man den Blick auch schweifen lässt, bietet sich ein traumhaftes Panorama auf die umgebende Landschaft, die Berge und sogar bis zum Meer. Das ganze Anwesen wird sorgsam gehegt und gepflegt, alles ist in bestem Zustand. Fonte Pecorale ist ein super Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in die Berge sowie für Ausflüge an und entlang der Küste und zum Strand. Friedhelm und Ester sind großartige und herzliche Gastgeber, besser gehts nicht. Nicht zu vergessen la Bomba: sie ist der Hund der Hunde und einfach nur zum Knuddeln :-). So ergeben sich hier immer wieder nette Gespräche oder auch mal die ein oder andere gemeinsame Unternehmung, so man denn möchte. Wir suchen hier gerade den sechsten Bewertungsstern… Urlaub deluxe garantiert!
