Description

Holiday in the Harz Mountains in a large, old, extensively renovated house

The complete house was repainted inside in November 2021, additionally several floor coverings were renewed and new furniture was bought!
This large holiday home for up to 11 people is located next to the old school and the church. It has a living area of 190 m2, which is divided as follows:

Ground floor:
- large hallway with an old wooden staircase leading to the upper floor
- a large living room with satellite TV, DVD player and children's books
- a second smaller living room
- first bedroom with a double bed (140x200 cm, 1 mattress)
- second bedroom with a double bed (180x200 cm, 2 mattresses)
- first modern bathroom with bathtub and washbasin
- second bathroom (from 2016) with shower, washbasin and WC
- modern kitchen (from 2017) with a large dining table for 11 people as well as oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge-freezer. Dishwasher, extractor bonnet, coffee machine, toaster, music system and a complete cutlery and crockery set
- a separate toilet

First floor:
- a very large bedroom with a double bed (180x200 cm, 2 mattresses) and another bed
- a children's bedroom with bunk beds (2 x 90x200 cm) and a foosball table
- third bedroom with double bed (140x200 cm, 1 mattress)
- modern shower room with WC and an infrared heat cabin (similar to a sauna)

Important: For two of the double beds you need ONE LARGE sheet each, as there is only ONE LARGE mattress in these two beds!

All 11 beds were bought new in November 2021!
Many DVDs and a small library invite you to relax
W-Lan and telephone are of course available.

Notes:
The indicated heating costs of 23,- Euro per night are of course only from to! The deposit of 100,- Euro has to be paid on site at the reception of the keys! It will be returned on departure if there is no damage to or in the house. The house can be booked for a minimum of three nights (except over public holidays and in July and August)! Please bring bed linen, tea towels and towels from home!

Location and surroundings of object

Radisleben is just 12 KM from the world-famous city Quedlingburg and only 8 KM from Lake country with Marina and beach near the Kurot Gernrode,.The active family needs won't seek to participate in activities and attractions. Our small town is lined with castles, castles, lakes, children's parks, sled tracks, cross-country, Western City, Indian village, hiking trails, narrow-gauge railway, outlet for our four-legged friends and much much more. Our holiday home is in the town of Ballenstedt frazione Radisleben between resin and Lake country.
A little shop around the corner offers pretty much everything on the table well covered. NET, bakers and butchers find shopping areas like Aldi, Lidl, all around, in a few minutes.

Guidelines

Advice by the landlord

security deposit:	100 €
rental deposit:	25 % at time of booking
final payment:	4 weeks before arrival

additional information about rental price:

- Up to 6 persons 850,00 Euro per week
- each additional person 19,00 Euro per day
- Deposit: 100,00 Euro when handing over the key.
- During the heating period (from 15.9. to 15.5.) a heating flat rate of 25,- Euro per day will be charged.
- over Easter, Ascension Day and Whitsun, the house can only be booked for four nights or more.
- Over Christmas/New Year's Eve and in the months of July and August, the house can only be booked for a minimum of seven nights.

additional information:

Arrival can take place between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., departure should please take place by 10 a.m. at the latest, so that the accommodation can then be cleaned in peace before the next guests arrive!
The keys for the house are in an outside safe at the front door. A few days before arrival, guests are kindly requested to contact the house owner, Mr von Streit, on 0151-25 29 48 46 to obtain the necessary numerical code
Mr Otto, who lives right next to the house, will take the deposit at the beginning of your holiday and the keys back at the end of your holiday.

Holiday home in Ballenstedt

The location of the house is central in the village. The house is perfect for families with children. This property is very well furnished and ideally located for excursions around the Harz. Very good preparation for the guests by detailed descriptions in a folder with picture and directions to the sights. Reliable availability of the caretaker in case of emergency. The possibility to have meals outside is ideal. The inhabitants of the village are very open-minded and friendly. Thank you for the wonderful days

Wonderful multi-generation holiday

Large, spacious, quiet location on a big square, very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, adequately and sensibly equipped for people of different ages (in our case, 2 grandparents, 4 parents, 3 grandchildren) and for several days; highly recommended overall.
Many possibilities for excursions in the surrounding area. For children, the playground at Domänenhof Radisleben (publicly accessible outside of daycare hours) with animals and many play equipment is especially recommended.
Very friendly and competent support and advice from the landlord and his employees on site.

Relaxed holidays for the big family

We spent a week in the holiday house with a total of 10 people from three generations. The previously friendly email contact with the landlord was confirmed by the caretaker at the key handover on site. After an introduction to the house and appliances, excursion tips and valuable information about the surroundings and leisure activities followed. Despite the number of travelers, there was no lack of anything in the house. Cutlery and dishes are more than sufficient, and there is enough space in the kitchen and living room for large families. We had no complaints, felt comfortable, and would gladly come back!

A great house in a beautiful area.

We had the pleasure of living in this beautiful house with 2 families (4 adults, 6 children between 7 and 15 years) and had a lot of fun. Life in the village took place mostly in front of our door, and there were plenty of excursions in all directions possible from Radisleben. Shopping in Ballenstedt was quickly done by car, and even in the small grocery store in Radisleben, we could exchange money for rolls twice. Overall, these were 10 very relaxing days for all of us, surrounded by helpful neighbors and a very friendly mayor who showed us the old church behind our house from the inside.

Great!

We had a wonderful "family weekend" with children, sons- and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and our collies. Everything was just right and perfect! The different areas of the house allowed for necessary separations depending on needs, while we could also take advantage of the spacious shared areas such as the kitchen with hallway and living room. Grilling and the children playing in front of the house were uncomplicated and nice. The house is also well equipped with kitchen utensils, games, and books. The homeowner lives up to his name, as he is very nice and friendly. This also applies to the other staff members! Overall, a highly recommended holiday home for exploring the interesting nearby area. We would love to come back!

Extremely friendly email contact with the owner Mr. v. Streit. Description of the house matches reality. Outstanding kitchen including equipment and great bathrooms. Despite "smoking permission," the house does not smell of old cigarette smoke (perhaps because other tenants like us only smoked outside). Brand new Landmann kettle grill available (February 2017). 531.- € for 9 people for 3 nights including Cleaning fee and winter heating surcharge I consider a reasonable price (direct booking with Mr. v. Streit). Key handover and check-in by Mr. Otto (who lives 50 meters away from the holiday home) went smoothly, despite our delay. The location can be rated between 1 and 5 stars. If you seek absolute peace, you are perfectly accommodated here. If you need action at your doorstep, this would be the wrong place. There are no shopping facilities in the village. However, in nearby Ballenstedt, everything for daily needs is available (several discount stores, supermarkets, small shops, restaurants, and a gas station). For culturally interested tourists, there are one or more castles/castles in the area. Also worth seeing are the historical towns of Wernigerode and Quedlinburg. Families with children will find opportunities in the area to entertain the little ones. For us, 9 adult persons, it was the ideal "location". Would love to come back.

Familienurlaub

We spent our 3-generation family holiday with 11 people (ranging from 4 months old to 63 years old) plus two dogs in this beautiful holiday home. There was plenty of space for all family members, and we lacked nothing. The quiet location makes it ideal for dog owners and families with young children. I especially appreciated the open-minded acceptance of two dogs for accommodation, which is often the exception rather than the norm. In the vicinity, there are diverse options for excursions. The contact with the landlord was reliable and prompt. The on-site support was also very nice and needs-oriented. We had a great time there and recommend this house further.

A successful family weekend

In May 2013, we stayed at this very nice accommodation for our traditional 3-generation meeting. We found a very spacious and well-maintained holiday home. Nothing was missing, especially since it was very spacious, making it ideal for our 10 people. The landlord was very nice and helpful. He gave us valuable tips for our stay, excursions, and restaurants. Overall, it was a lovely time, and we highly recommend this accommodation.
