Description
The Harzhaus Romantica in Hahnenklee/Bockswiese is located in the heart of the Harz mountains. As a non-smoking domicile with 8 rooms and over 170 m² on 3 levels, it has been awarded 5 stars by the German Tourism Association.
In 2009, the entire house was thoroughly renovated, retaining the traditional Harz building style that embodies the charm and attention to detail of the good old days. The interior with its antique furniture, hand-painted pictures in combination with modern details makes every visitor's heart beat faster.
Due to the favourable room layout, the house is very well suited for groups of up to 8 adults or 2 families with children.

The holiday home Harzhaus Romantica offers you luxury and comfort on 3 levels
Ground floor: On the ground floor, you are welcomed by a bright, spacious hallway area equipped with a wardrobe for young and old. From there you enter the living room, the kitchen and the dining room. There is also a study (with a high-quality sofa bed) and a beautiful bathroom with a corner bathtub.
Upper floor: The open staircase leads to the upper floor, which is equipped with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet. All rooms have comfort beds with an entry height from 55 cm and adjustable head and foot sections. One bedroom has a sofa bed in addition to the double bed. The combination of antique softwood furniture, glass bedside tables and modern lighting harmoniously round off the ambience.
Basement: From the spacious, brightly designed hallway you reach the children's playroom (with additional sofa bed), the wellness area with infrared sauna cabin and another wonderfully equipped bathroom. Furthermore, there is a ski and storage room as well as a laundry room.
Outdoor area:
On the south-east side, you can walk from the dining room onto a spacious south-facing balcony, which is also well suited for breakfast and for cosy sunbathing. Part of the garden is also south-facing, where the children can also play on a nice climbing tower.
On the north-west side there is also a large garden that borders directly on the forest, via a garden door you can go directly into the forest. Between the house and the garden there is a large covered terrace, which is very suitable for barbecues etc.

Location of the house:
The exclusive "Harzhaus Romantica" is located on a sunny plateau at an altitude of approx. 600 m. The absolutely quiet location in a small side street in the green, in the middle of the small Harz community "Hahnenklee-Bockswiese" guarantees pure relaxation. In the centre of Hahnenklee, about 600 m away, you will find shopping facilities, various restaurants, banks, spa administration, the Bocksberg cable car, ski slopes, toboggan run, mountain bike trail, the famous stave church and last but not least the award-winning Liebesbankweg. The Upper Harz is an ideal starting point for hiking, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, fishing, mountain biking and motorcycling enthusiasts. Its landscape in the interplay of mountains and lakes (the largest water reservoir in northern Germany) never fails to impress. Golfers also get their money's worth on the golf course in Bad Harzburg. A long-distance destination for experienced mountain bikers is, for example, the "Brocken". Thanks to the good transport connections to the city of Clausthal-Zellerfeld (approx. 8 km) and the city of Goslar (approx. 16 km), all other destinations in the Harz region (e.g. Harzquerbahn, visitor mines, stalactite caves, etc.) can be reached quickly and comfortably by car or by bus (bus stop 5 minutes' walk away, hourly connection).

Beautiful days with two dogs
The house corresponds to the description.
Okay, direct forest access through a garden gate is not true because behind the garden gate there is a nettle jungle that makes the path impossible, but that doesn't matter because about 100m away on the road there is a narrow path that leads directly into the forest.
The equipment of the house is top!
Nice furnishings, where you feel comfortable right away.
We were there with just two people and two dogs and would visit the house again with 6 people.
With 8 or 10 adult people it would be too tight for us (common rooms).
Certainly great with children too (playroom and swing/climbing tower).

Simply feel comfortable
We had a wonderful time with the whole family at the Romantika house. The vacation home is very well equipped, the decor is stylish and cozy with large rooms and very comfortable sleeping options. We were able to enjoy the sun terrace with an idyllic view in absolute peace every day. The location is also particularly noteworthy - after a few steps, you are directly in the green on a popular hiking trail (Liebesbankweg) past several lakes, but also the center of Hahnenklee with the stave church can be reached quickly on foot. The communication during the booking and also on site was very friendly and accommodating. We have already vacationed at the house for the second time and will definitely come back!

Super nice for families
The equipment is top and the house had enough space for two families with a total of four children. The location is very good and the children are also very well catered for. There is a playroom in the house and a small playground outside in the garden. Many excursion destinations are within walking distance or a short drive away. A few 100m away is a forest that invites you to go for a walk. If you want to combine adventure with a cosy atmosphere and tranquillity, this is the place for you!
