The house and the entire property with the wonderful garden pleased us very much. We celebrated a milestone birthday there as a large family (11 people). Garden furniture, dishes, etc. were all abundantly available, the kitchen was very well equipped, and the rooms and bathrooms are very nice. With unexpectedly beautiful weather for May, we were able to use the garden and the beautiful terrace - we hadn't counted on it - but found enough garden furniture for everyone. Even in worse weather, one could have felt comfortable in the house, but without a car, there wasn't much to do. A walk on the dike was okay; everything else was no problem by car. Sylt from Klanxbüll station by train, Nolde Foundation / Museum, etc. offer beautiful destinations. Finding restaurants in the area was - at least in the pre-season - not entirely easy, some were closed. Not to be overlooked is the extremely friendly handling from the first email through the key handover to the cheerful cleaning crew at the end - everyone was totally relaxed.

Our family has been traveling to the north for more than 20 years, especially to Denmark, and booking holiday homes. We first booked this house for February 2018 and arrived with our adult children, the grandchild, and the grandmother by plane and rental car. Despite a delay, communication with the homeowner and the manager was excellent. We arrived at the house late and found an inviting home. The lights in and around the house were on, so one could find their way immediately. The house was preheated and warm, the tiled stove was lit, firewood lay beside it, and a bouquet welcomed us. The room layout was not a problem despite our family size (four generations). Everyone could occupy a separate area for themselves. No one felt disturbed by the others. The beds were made, more than enough towels were available, and the kitchen is stocked with all useful utensils more than adequately; nothing was missing. Particularly noteworthy is the cleanliness of the house and its furnishings; this is all the more admirable since it is not a sterile new building and the decor was designed individually and with many accessories in a cozy and tasteful manner. We consciously chose a quiet location near the sea and we have not been disappointed. Niebüll is close enough to take care of all shopping. Finally, we would like to highlight the extremely friendly and accommodating nature of the manager and the owner. Not only can we fully recommend this house, but we are definitely planning a rebooking for next year.

Positive: -The house offered enough space for our large family including grandparents, the rooms were nicely furnished, and the garden provided space for playing and frolicking. -In terms of furnishings, everything needed was available (except that the dryer and washing machine needed to be replaced/the dryer did not work properly and smelled, the washing machine was incredibly loud). -The property manager was always on hand to address problems and was very eager to find a solution! Negative: We found both the location of the house (completely off the beaten path) and this part of the North Sea coast to be disappointing. There are no sandy beaches here on the coast; if we wanted that, we had to take the ferry to the islands of Sylt and Föhr. And that's not exactly cheap... Moreover, the surroundings were not very fruitful if you wanted to do something with small children. -What was very unpleasant were the mice in the house. The house manager gave us some mouse traps, with which we caught a mouse, but unfortunately that was not the only one... If someone likes seclusion, the house is recommended. With children, we would not want to book it like this again.

This holiday home has an interesting layout, making it particularly suitable for larger families. It is quite well (almost fully) equipped. It does not appear sterile overall, but has character and charm. This impression is also contributed to by the beautiful, somewhat wild garden, which also represents a playground for smaller children. The location of the holiday home can be described as quiet, but requires mobility to explore the tourist surroundings all the way to Sylt, Denmark, and the Baltic Sea. Unfortunately, the bathing options nearby are quite limited. For families with children, the presence of a clothes drying rack (or a dryer) would be useful. The clothesline in the garden is not sufficient in damp weather. The cleaning crew should take a look under the beds, as well as in the corners at the ceiling and floor. As mentioned in other reviews, the smell in the house is occasionally unpleasant. Since it is a house from the early 20th century, the noticeable slightly musty smell is acceptable and can be mitigated by consistent ventilation. In our assessment, the septic tank is the main drawback regarding the smell. The sewage pit appears to be undersized, especially with many residents using it, resulting in corresponding negative odors in the house. Overall, we (5 adults, 5 children aged 1-13 years, 2 dogs) enjoyed our stay in the holiday property and would recommend the house Rike.

We spent an extended weekend with the whole family including 2x grandma & grandpa and a dog in the beautiful house. The house is very well equipped with everything you need. The room layout is also great! We were received very kindly and warmly, and the "return" went very smoothly. The house is located very quietly, and I believe it is about 3 km to a small grocery store and a bakery. If you want a bit more hustle and bustle, you have to go the 10 km to Niebüll; since we arrived by car, it was no problem for us. The garden is very beautiful, and in summer, you can definitely spend a relaxing day there! All in all, it was a very nice weekend in a very lovely cozy house! Thank you again!

The equipment is good, especially the kitchen is well-equipped, nothing was missing. What bothered us was the slightly musty smell in the house as well as the sewage smell in the lower bathroom. Furthermore, it did not get warm in the house, especially on the upper floor. The radiators were only lukewarm in some places. This was particularly bothersome in the upper bathroom. Although we were told upon inquiry that setting 1 was hot and setting 5 was cold, that didn't help either. No matter which setting we chose, the radiator only became lukewarm. In the living room, we did not have this problem because of the wood stove.

This choice was a hit: We enjoyed the family short vacation in "Rike's Holiday House" very much and can recommend it without hesitation. The house is tastefully furnished, very spacious with bright rooms and an unconventional layout. In the evenings, the cozy stove provided pleasant warmth. The only thing we missed was one or two utensils in the kitchen equipment. With three generations – from 21 to 88 years old – we felt really comfortable here. And the care provided by the nice Mrs. Christiansen for questions and problems was exemplary. The crowning glory of everything was the weather: Having breakfast every day on the sunny terrace at this time of year and spending many hours among roses and the apple tree was a delight.

Anytime again. . . . as a family of 6 with two children aged 13 and 9, as well as 2 children aged 3 and 2, along with a dog and an additional companion, we were completely satisfied. There is plenty of space, the rooms are sufficiently large, everything is very lovingly furnished. Of course, this is assuming one likes the cozy country house style. The amenities leave nothing to be desired, except perhaps for a missing small drying rack. Excursion destinations and shopping opportunities are easily accessible and allow for daily activities.

A very nice holiday home with a wonderful, large garden, beautiful furnishings, and a nice Frisian flair. Disadvantages: far from the action. The nearest bathing spot is 5 km away by car. An evening walk on the dike is also only possible by car. The houses are surrounded by drainage pits and small ponds. This leads to an incredible number of mosquitoes. The house has no flyscreens. Sleeping with the windows closed is not an option, as it quickly becomes very hot in the small rooms. One has no choice but to let oneself be completely pricked at night. Especially with a small child, this is very unpleasant. The beds have a plastic cover, and one sweats terribly. The shortcomings were really unfortunate and somewhat spoiled our vacation. The landlord could easily fix them. Very unfortunate.

We stayed at the House Rike with 12 people (family) for 4 nights. We didn't miss anything! It is a cozy house with Nordic charm. The living room offers enough space for a very large group to have breakfast together or sit together comfortably. There are also plenty of seating options on the partially covered terrace or in the large garden with table tennis and a swing. The house with rural charm comes highly recommended!

Hello, we stayed in Rike's holiday home with 10 adults and a toddler. We felt very comfortable there. The house is really cozy, spacious, and tastefully furnished. It was also nice that a baby cot was available. A changing table might be a good addition. Otherwise, the house is equipped with everything you need. The location is very idyllic and the neighbors were also very nice. We had a few very nice days and are happy to recommend the holiday home.

The wood was ready to be lit in the fireplace and on the second day a bouquet of daffodils suddenly appeared on the terrace for us. We felt very comfortable! The only point of criticism is the very long way to the shops - but that is complaining on a very high level.

I had a family reunion, 5 // 73 years old, 2 dogs. The accommodation was perfect for it, with 7 bedrooms, 2 showers, 1 bath, several passage rooms, functional kitchen and large living room with terrace. The garden, mostly green, is a dream. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly.

The clothesline in the garden is not sufficient in wet weather. The cleaning crew should have a look under the beds and in the corners of the ceiling and floor. As mentioned in other reviews, the smell in the house is unpleasant from time to time. Since it is a house from the beginning of the 20th century, the slightly dull smell is acceptable and can be reduced by consistent airing. In our opinion, the septic tank is the main shortcoming in terms of odour perception. The septic tank appears to be undersized when used by many residents in particular, which means that there are corresponding negative odours in the house. All in all, we (5 adults, 5 children aged 1-13, 2 dogs) enjoyed our stay in the holiday home and would recommend Haus Rike to others.

The cleanliness of the house and its furnishings deserves special mention; this is all the more to be admired as it is not a sterile new building and the furnishings have been individually and tastefully designed with many accessories in a cosy way. We deliberately chose a quiet location close to the sea and we were not disappointed. Niebüll is close enough to do all the shopping. Finally, we would like to emphasise the extremely friendly and obliging manner of the manager and the owners. Not only can we fully recommend this house, we are definitely planning to book again next year.

It was not easy to find restaurants in the area - at least in the pre-season - some were closed. We should not forget to mention the extremely friendly service from the first mail to the handing over of the keys to the good-humoured cleaning crew at the end - everyone was totally relaxed.

This is a very very beautiful house. Decorated with so much attention to detail. Simply beautiful. We were there with 7 people and felt very comfortable. There are so many possibilities to get out of the way. The 3 TV corners alone are very nice. Our dog also felt very comfortable in the garden, which was also so beautifully laid out. The surroundings also invite you to relax and find peace. Lots of beautiful countryside and the opportunity to really relax. Simply perfect.

We (multi-generational holiday) felt very comfortable in this house with its beautiful garden. You can also withdraw from time to time, as there are so many lovingly furnished rooms, but also rooms that are big enough to spend time together. In the garden anyway. For us it was optimal. If one could criticise something, then at most that one/two sharp kitchen knives would have been nice and unfortunately the kitchen work surfaces are a bit too small if you want to cook for more than 10 people. But that should really be understood as a minor point of criticism. Tip to the landlords: one or two clothes drying racks would be nice. Otherwise a TOPHAUS in which we felt completely comfortable. We had a very nice holiday in a lovingly furnished farmhouse from 1900. The feel-good factor was there in any case! There was really nothing lacking. You noticed right away that over the years there has been a real, well-chosen collection, just like in your own home. The house is wonderfully secluded, between green meadows and dikes full of sheep. When you arrive here, your holiday starts right away. The large, enclosed garden makes a relaxing stay complete. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to use the terrace, but the old apple tree provided us with delicious fruit to compensate. Our family numbered 9 people and 2 small dogs, yet we always had enough space. In itself, everything was perfect for us! (The only drawback was the smell of the septic tank at the house, which also permeated the 2 toilets on the ground floor. However, this subsided when it started to rain in torrents over 3 days. Also, the access to the entrance of the house would need to be better thought out. The old paving stones are beautiful and not at all the problem, but rather the liquid (not water!) that sought its way there. It also smelled musty in the house) All in all, we had a great, unforgettable holiday and can recommend Rike's holiday home.
