The house is very cozy and very clean. The owner was very nice and helpful. Everything you need is available in the house. The playroom for the kids is really well equipped with toys, books, and all sorts of other playthings. The house is located very quietly. It takes 15 minutes by bike to get to the Wadden Sea with a bathing area.

We had a wonderful stay at the Freesenhuus. However, the location was a matter of divided opinion in the family. The house is very remote. But for those seeking peace, this is the perfect place! It is ideal for dog owners! The amenities are perfect; everything has been thought of. We also found the apartment very pleasant.

We traveled in 4 generations from 5 years to nearly 87 years. Everyone got their money's worth. Grandma had her own apartment and the child could play outside in the wonderful garden or fish nearby. The major attractions are all reachable in under 1 hour. The train takes only 15 minutes to Sylt. I especially enjoyed the nature and the good air, and of course the great house, which lacks nothing and is very tastefully furnished. For me, that is always important... Good beds. Thumbs up! We (a couple, a mother, and a dog) stayed at Freesenhuus for 15 days in November/December. The house is very cozy, furnished with an old stove, the kitchen is perfectly equipped with beautiful dishes, and the beds are comfortable. There are 2 shower baths and a guest toilet available. Those seeking peace will find it here. In the neighborhood, there are only 5 other houses, a farm, and a church. Nice walks towards the dyke are possible. We took trips to Tonder and Ribe (Denmark) as well as to Schleswig and Husum. A small downside is the lighting in front of and behind the house; the entrance lamp in front of the house is not sufficient to safely cover even half the distance to the parking lot in the dark, and the stones are very slippery when wet. Behind the house, there is no light on the way to the trash bins/wood storage at all. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again.

We stayed as a trio (couple and mother) with a dog in the Freesenhuus in Althorsbüll for 15 days in November/December 2019. The house is very cozy, furnished with an old fireplace, the kitchen equipment is perfect with a lot of beautiful dishes, the beds are comfortable, and there was a separate apartment for mother with a TV and a shower room as well as a small kitchen. Everything was very clean. Those looking for peace and wanting to unwind (we come from the big city) are exactly right here. 5 houses, a farm, the old church - that was it - and pure nature. We were not here for the last time.

The Freesenhus is so lovingly furnished that you feel at home immediately upon arrival. There is nothing to complain about, unless you are a chronic complainer, then you will find something. The house is in perfect condition from top to bottom, everything super clean! There were enough towels available. The bathrooms are great! A big thank you to the owner for making her cozy house available. A small note at this point for those who come after: upon arrival, we noticed that the dishwasher (a small luxury that is not a given) was missing salt and rinse aid (plenty). For us, no problem; we bought both and refilled them, but if everyone pays a little attention, you can enjoy this luxury for a long time.

There are vacation homes that change negatively after some time of use. Not so with this vacation home!!! We have now had the pleasure of vacationing in this house for the second time. We noticed that many things that were already great before have now been improved even more. This vacation home is so clean and cozy... we arrive and can immediately throw ourselves comfortably on the couch, lie down in bed, or use the bathroom without any worries. We have not experienced this in any other holiday home. Additionally, the wonderful and super quiet location, right by the dike, makes the sea feel very close. This holiday home is furnished with everything one could think of; nothing is missing. The wonderful garden in front of the house invites you to linger in the evening hours, and the garden behind the house is so wonderfully sheltered that you can stay undisturbed. The garden behind the house was also great for our small dogs - two Jack Russells. Simply escape-proof! ! ! ! ! ! We believe that the location of this holiday home is ideal. You can reach the Danish border in 30 minutes, visit the island of Rømø, and the islands of Amrum, Pellworm, Sylt, Föhr, and also the Halligen are just a stone's throw away. In addition, there is the wonderful expanse of the landscape and hours of hiking or cycling on the dikes right by the sea. There is fresh fish in Dagebüll, the Nolde Museum, and many other attractions. Or a swim in the lake at Seebüll? Dreamlike. Boredom does not arise. The heart and soul of this house is Mrs. de la Motte. Super nice and friendly and a great person. We will come back next year.

We were at Freesenhuus for the first time in 2015 on recommendation and were immediately taken with it. It is very quiet in the area, the house is spacious, beautifully and cozily furnished, and our two dogs also feel comfortable right away. In October 2016, we were again at Freesenhuus, this time with our son. We have already booked for 2017. We would prefer not to leave at all. Additionally, there are great excursions to do in the area. There are also nice places with delicious food here, e.g. the Klanxbüller Stuben. We also really enjoy taking day trips to Rømø or Henne Strand. Dagebüll and Sylt are also recommended. We always love coming here and are already looking forward to our next vacation at the Freesenhuus, we always feel at home immediately! The only thing we missed in the house was a guestbook to note HOW great this house is. There was really nothing missing, incredibly lovingly and thoughtfully furnished, we felt at home right away. Pure tranquility. Even in advance, the extremely friendly contact with Ms. Hartmann and Ms. De la Motte welcomed us warmly and very helpfully... A tip for dog owners is the free-running area at Leck in the Langenberger Forest, we have never seen anything so idyllic, fenced, right in the woods, simply beautiful. It is really worth it!!! We will definitely come back!!! The trout lake around the corner is also highly recommended!

We would like to thank you for this beautiful holiday accommodation. We were able to experience wonderful 14 days with almost consistently beautiful weather. The house is very clean and lovingly furnished. The kitchen has all the equipment and materials one needs. The garden in front of the house is a beautiful cottage garden and very romantic. One can also wonderfully enjoy the evening atmosphere on the bench or in the beach chair in front of the house. Our two little rascals (Jack Russell) also felt very comfortable. Behind the house, there is a wonderfully sheltered garden, completely fenced in and additionally surrounded by a hedge. Escape-proof! This was of course very relaxing for us, and we could let the dogs play in the garden without worry. We will come back - next year is already booked.

A very well-equipped, cozy, and practically divided large holiday home that can be flexibly used thanks to the integrated apartment. The owner, who lives nearby, was easy to contact, flexible, very dog-friendly, and concerned for everyone's well-being. A plus is also the fenced garden. One must be prepared to drive or bike to shop and to the beach. For this, you are very quickly in Denmark and on the islands, and even in November, the wonderful nature is very close. The mediation agency always responded very quickly. This way, we were able to easily book additional guests for a few days.

Excellent base for exploring the Wadden Sea: the spacious paths correspond to the wide views over the mudflats, deceleration is called for and not performance in watts. Personal encounter with the landlady Mrs. Hartmann, who has an open ear and is approachable for all questions and concerns. We were guests at Freesenhuus Althorsbüll for the second time from 26.9.21 to 02.10.2021. In the meantime, the roof was newly thatched with reeds and further small positive changes were made. The house was handed over to us very clean, the equipment is of high quality. The kitchen equipment is extensive and leaves nothing to be desired. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend Freesenhuus Althorsbüll. We found it very positive that the homeowner lives right next door. She is extremely helpful and very friendly!

We were there with 3 adults and a furry friend in May. The location of the house is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, which we were. Only wind and sheep could be heard. Occasionally also a few water birds. Just right for us. The house is absolutely charming and equipped with everything you need. The large freezers were great for us as raw feeders. There was plenty of space for everyone. We had the entire ground floor plus the apartment. A great solution. This way you can avoid each other if desired or if someone wants to sleep longer ;o) From the house, you can immediately start walking rounds. An extremely nice and helpful landlady rounded off our holiday wonderfully.

The Freesenhuus Althorsbüll is an extremely well-equipped holiday home. The owner ensures a warm welcome through personal reception. We were two couples with two dogs. The fenced garden area behind the house was particularly advantageous for us. It is a good location for trips to Amrum, Föhr or Sylt as well as to Denmark. The only (small) disadvantage of the location is that you are almost inevitably dependent on a car. However, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, we would highly recommend the Fresenhuus Althorbüll!

We had a lovely week with 2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 granddaughters and 2 dogs in this super equipped house. There is enough space and the location is very quiet. If you want to switch off and relax, this is the place for you.

The high expectations of four adults and two children were exceeded. Even in bad weather, time can be spent well and relaxing with the detailed equipment available (games etc.).

We had a wonderful stay at Freesenhuus. However, we were divided in the family about the location. The house is very remote. But if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you! It is ideal for dog owners! The furnishings are perfect, everything has been thought of. We also found the granny annexe very pleasant.

We were there in May with 3 adults and a furry nose.
The location of the house is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, which we were. Only the wind and sheep could be heard. Occasionally a few water birds. Just right for us. The house is delightful and equipped with everything you need. For us as barfers, the large freezer compartments were great.
There was plenty of space for everyone. We had the entire ground floor plus the apartment. A great solution. So you can get out of the way if you want or if someone wants to sleep longer ;o)
From the house you can immediately go for a walk.
A very nice and helpful landlady rounded off our holiday wonderfully.

It was the perfect holiday for us. A beautiful house in which we felt completely at home. Plenty of space and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing and successful holiday. Very quiet and idyllic location, if you are looking for hustle and bustle, you are in the wrong place. A big thank you to the landlady, Mrs Hartmann,
who gave us such a great welcome, we are already looking forward to next year.

We were guests at Freesenhuus Althorsbüll for the second time in the period from 26.9.21 to 02.10.2021. In the meantime, the brook was newly thatched and other small positive changes were made. The house was handed over to us very clean, the furnishings are of high quality. The kitchen equipment is rich and leaves nothing to be desired.
We felt very comfortable and can only recommend Freesenhuus Althorsbüll.
We found it very positive that the owner of the house lives right next door. She is extremely helpful and very friendly!

Freesenhuus Althorsbüll is an extremely well-equipped holiday home. The owner provides a warm welcome through personal reception. We were two couples with two dogs. The fenced off garden area behind the house was therefore particularly beneficial. It is a good location for trips to Amrum, Föhr or Sylt as well as Denmark. The only (small) disadvantage of the location is that you are almost inevitably dependent on a car. But the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, we would highly recommend Fresenhuus Althorbüll!
