We were guests at Freesenhuus Althorsbüll for the second time from 26.9.21 to 02.10.2021. In the meantime, the roof was newly thatched with reeds and further small positive changes were made. The house was handed over to us very clean, the equipment is of high quality. The kitchen equipment is extensive and leaves nothing to be desired. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend Freesenhuus Althorsbüll. We found it very positive that the homeowner lives right next door. She is extremely helpful and very friendly!

For us, it was the perfect vacation. A beautiful house where we felt completely comfortable. Plenty of space and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing and successful vacation. Very quiet and idyllic location, if you are looking for hustle and bustle, this is the wrong place. A heartfelt thank you to the landlady, Mrs. Hartmann, who welcomed us so wonderfully, we are already looking forward to next year.

We were there with 3 adults and a furry friend in May. The location of the house is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, which we were. Only wind and sheep could be heard. Occasionally also a few water birds. Just right for us. The house is absolutely charming and equipped with everything you need. The large freezers were great for us as raw feeders. There was plenty of space for everyone. We had the entire ground floor plus the apartment. A great solution. This way you can avoid each other if desired or if someone wants to sleep longer ;o) From the house, you can immediately start walking rounds. An extremely nice and helpful landlady rounded off our holiday wonderfully.

The Freesenhuus Althorsbüll is an extremely well-equipped holiday home. The owner ensures a warm welcome through personal reception. We were two couples with two dogs. The fenced garden area behind the house was particularly advantageous for us. It is a good location for trips to Amrum, Föhr or Sylt as well as to Denmark. The only (small) disadvantage of the location is that you are almost inevitably dependent on a car. However, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, we would highly recommend the Fresenhuus Althorbüll!

For the third time, we had the pleasure of spending our summer vacation at the Freesenhuus. The house is located very quietly, perfect for relaxing and recuperating. It is perfectly equipped with everything you need for everyday life. There are many possibilities for excursions. Denmark, Sylt, towards the Baltic Sea.. something for everyone. We feel very comfortable there and are already looking forward to next year.

From the beginning, we felt very comfortable in the house. The furnishings and room layout are very well thought out and lovingly designed. If you want to explore the area, you are dependent on the car, but you can discover a lot of interesting things in a manageable amount of time. We hope to come by again soon!

We would like to thank you for this beautiful holiday accommodation. We had a wonderful 14 days with beautiful weather almost all the time. The house is very clean and lovingly furnished. The kitchen has everything you need in terms of equipment and materials. The garden in front of the house is a beautiful farm garden and very romantic. On the bench or in the beach chair in front of the house you can enjoy the evening atmosphere. Our two little rascals (Jack-Russel) also felt very comfortable. Behind the house there is a wonderfully protected garden, completely fenced in and additionally surrounded by a hedge. Escape-proof! This was of course very relaxing for us and we could let the dogs play in the garden without thinking. We will be back - next year is already booked.

The only thing we were missing in the house was a guest book to write HOW great this house is. There was really nothing missing, very lovingly and thoughtfully furnished, we immediately felt at home. Pure tranquillity. Already in the run-up extremely friendly contact to Mrs. Hartmann and Mrs. De la Motte received us cordially and very helpfully....a tip for dog owners is the free running area near Leck in the Langenberger Forst, we have never seen something so idyllic, fenced in, in the middle of the forest, just beautiful. It's really worth it !!!! We will definitely be back!...The trout lake around the corner is also highly recommended!

We stayed at Freesenhuus for the first time in 2015 on recommendation and were immediately taken with it. It is very quiet in the area, the house is spacious, beautifully and comfortably furnished, and our two dogs feel right at home. We stayed at Freesenhuus again in October 2016, this time with our son. We have already booked for 2017. We would prefer not to leave at all. You can also make great excursions in the area. There are also nice places to eat here, such as the Klanxbüller Stuben. We also like to go on day trips to Römö or Henne Strand. Dagebüll and Sylt are also recommended. We always enjoy coming here and are already very much looking forward to our next holiday at Freesenhuus, we always feel at home straight away! A big thank you to Mrs Hartmann for the wonderful house and many thanks to Mrs de la Motte, for her friendly and lovely manner. See you soon!

- Very friendly reception by the property management. - The house exceeds the stated specifications. The owner really has great taste and everything has been thought out down to the smallest detail. - Top relaxation and a lot of peace and quiet (for those who like it) on site. There is really nothing there except many, many sheep :-) - Many possibilities for excursions (only accessible by car) We will definitely come back next year in May because we really felt very comfortable. There are holiday homes that change into the negative after some time of use. Not so with this holiday home!!!! This is the second time we have had the pleasure of staying in this house. We noticed that many things that were already top notch have now been improved even more. This holiday home is so clean and cosy.... we arrive and can immediately throw ourselves into the couch or lie down in bed or use the bathroom without hesitation. We have never experienced this in any other holiday home. In addition, there is the wonderful and super quiet location, directly on the dyke, the sea is within reach. This holiday home is furnished with everything you can think of, nothing is missing. The wonderful garden in front of the house invites you to linger in the evening hours and the garden behind the house is so wonderfully protected that you can linger undisturbed. The garden behind the house was also great for our little dogs - two Jack Russels. Simply escape-proof!!!!!! We think that the location of this holiday home is ideal. You can reach the Danish border in 30 minutes, visit the island of Römö, and the islands of Amrum, Pellworm, Sylt, Föhr and the Halligen are only a stone's throw away. Add to that the wonderful expanse of the landscape and the hours of walking or cycling on the dykes right by the sea. There is fresh fish in Dagebüll, the Nolde Museum and many other sights. Or a swim in the lake at Seebüll? fantastic. Boredom is not an option. The heart and soul of this house is Mrs de la Motte. Super sweet and friendly and a great person. We will be back next year.

We have been spending our holidays at Freesenhuus in Althorsbüll 2-3 times a year for 5 years now and are always thrilled. Peace and quiet and relaxation are guaranteed here and not only us, but also our little dog feels very much at home here. We will be back again in 2018.

The Freesenhus is such a lovingly furnished house that you feel right at home when you arrive. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. Because everything is there. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The bathrooms are top! It is simply cosy all round. Thank you to the owner for making the house available. Perhaps a small note at this point to those who come after us: When using the dishwasher (a luxury that is rare in a holiday home!) make sure that you check whether it needs rinse aid or salt. So that it will last for a long time.

The Freesenhus is so lovingly furnished that you feel right at home when you arrive. There is nothing to complain about, unless you are a constant complainer, then you will find something. The house is in perfect condition from top to bottom, everything is super clean! There were enough towels available. The bathrooms are great! Many thanks to the owner for making her cosy house available. A small note at this point to those coming after us, on arrival we noticed that the dishwasher (a small luxury that is not self-evident) was missing salt and rinse aid (plenty). No problem for us, we bought both and filled them up, but if everyone pays a little attention, you will have this luxury for a long time.

Three of us (couple and mother) with a dog stayed at Freesenhuus in Althorsbüll for 15 days in November/December 2019. The house is very cosy with an old wood-burning stove, the kitchen equipment is perfect with lots of nice crockery, the beds are comfortable, for mother there was a separate flat with TV and a shower room as well as a small kitchen. Everything was very clean. If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to switch off (we come from the big city), this is exactly the right place. 5 houses, a farm, the old church - that's it - and pure nature. This was not the last time we stayed here.

We (couple and mother plus a dog) stayed at Freesenhuus for 15 days in November/December. The house is cosily furnished with an old wood-burning stove, the kitchen is perfectly equipped with beautiful crockery, the beds are comfortable. There are 2 shower bathrooms and a guest toilet. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you are in good hands here. In the neighbourhood there are only 5 other houses, a farm and a church. Beautiful walks towards the dyke are possible. We have made trips to Tonder and Ribe (Denmark) as well as to Schleswig and Husum. A small minus is the lighting in front of and behind the house. In front of the house, the entrance light is not sufficient to cover even half of the distance to the car park safely in the dark, and the stones are very slippery when wet. Behind the house there is no light at all on the way to the rubbish bins/wood store. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again.

We came in 4 generations, from 5 years old to almost 87 years old. Everyone got their money's worth. Grandma had her own flat and the child could play outside in the beautiful garden or fish nearby. The major excursion destinations can all be reached in less than 1 hour. The train only takes 15 m to Sylt. I especially enjoyed the nature and the good air and of course the great house, which lacks nothing and is very tastefully furnished. Also always important for me.... Good beds. Thumbs up! We had a wonderful stay at Freesenhuus. However, we were divided in the family about the location. The house is very remote. But if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you! It is ideal for dog owners! The furnishings are perfect, everything has been thought of. We also found the granny annexe very pleasant.
