Ideally, the demand-responsive bus would stop at the parking lot by the church; especially for arrival and departure (with luggage) this would be advantageous. Without a car, you are a bit "off the beaten path" (personally, I liked that a lot! The peace; no streetlights). Without a car, you just have to arrange with the demand-responsive bus and/or get a bike. The train connection (which is not your fault, but maybe you can intervene directly with the railway department or the ministry of transport) in Klanxbüll is a whole different issue: almost always delayed; waiting times at the railway crossing are often very long (10 mins). And in general: there were already many wind turbines 30 years ago at your place - but the Westerland railway line is still not electrified! "Blame" on the German Railways? I don't think so! More likely the fault of German transport policy!!

Best regards to the North Sea! We were at the North Sea for the very first time in our lives. We had fantastic weather, saw a lot, went on a mudflat hike, visited the islands, and we have to say... there's more to explore! So, we have to come back. And what we absolutely loved were the people, and not just because of the "Moin Moin".... Down-to-earth, friendly people who are connected to their home. A thank you from us to the Ferien an der Nordsee team and the Hänsch family. We happily drove back home (by the way, it started pouring rain from Flensburg all the way to Saxony)... "I want to go back to the North Sea..." Family Manila and Steffen Moritz

Ideally, the shuttle bus would be able to stop at the church parking lot; especially for arrival and departure (due to luggage) this would be advantageous. Without a car, one is a bit "off the beaten path" (personally, I liked that very much! The peace; no streetlights). Without a car, one must simply arrange for the shuttle bus and/or organize a bicycle.
The train connection (which is not your fault, but you might be able to intervene directly with the railway management or transportation ministry) in Klanxbüll is a separate issue: almost constantly delayed; waiting times at the railway barrier are often very long (10 minutes). And generally: there were already many wind turbines in your area 30 years ago, but the Westerland railway still hasn't been electrified! Is it the Deutsche Bahn's fault? I don't think so! More likely the fault of German transportation policy!!

The flat is beautifully located and you can definitely switch off from everyday life. Everything was provided, from bedding to towels and a well-equipped kitchen. The location was wonderfully central for our activities (from Romo to Tönning). Only when we arrived, dogs of the neighbouring tenants were running unattended through the garden and one of them was not happy to see us. But that cleared up later.
