We had a wonderful vacation at Freesenhuus. The house is lovingly furnished and leaves nothing to be desired. There was also provision for the dog; dog blankets and bowls were available, and a fenced garden as well. The landlord was very nice and attentive.

The house is very cozy and very clean. The owner was very nice and helpful. Everything you need is available in the house. The playroom for the kids is really well equipped with toys, books, and all sorts of other playthings. The house is located very quietly. It takes 15 minutes by bike to get to the Wadden Sea with a bathing area.

Very beautiful and very well-equipped holiday home. In short: a solid 10 with a star!

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

We had a wonderful stay at the Freesenhuus. However, the location was a matter of divided opinion in the family. The house is very remote. But for those seeking peace, this is the perfect place! It is ideal for dog owners! The amenities are perfect; everything has been thought of. We also found the apartment very pleasant.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

We had a wonderful week in this well-equipped house with 2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 granddaughters, and 2 dogs. There is plenty of space, and the location is very quiet. Anyone looking to unwind and seek relaxation is exactly right here.

We traveled in 4 generations from 5 years to nearly 87 years. Everyone got their money's worth. Grandma had her own apartment and the child could play outside in the wonderful garden or fish nearby. The major attractions are all reachable in under 1 hour. The train takes only 15 minutes to Sylt. I especially enjoyed the nature and the good air, and of course the great house, which lacks nothing and is very tastefully furnished. For me, that is always important... Good beds. Thumbs up! We (a couple, a mother, and a dog) stayed at Freesenhuus for 15 days in November/December. The house is very cozy, furnished with an old stove, the kitchen is perfectly equipped with beautiful dishes, and the beds are comfortable. There are 2 shower baths and a guest toilet available. Those seeking peace will find it here. In the neighborhood, there are only 5 other houses, a farm, and a church. Nice walks towards the dyke are possible. We took trips to Tonder and Ribe (Denmark) as well as to Schleswig and Husum. A small downside is the lighting in front of and behind the house; the entrance lamp in front of the house is not sufficient to safely cover even half the distance to the parking lot in the dark, and the stones are very slippery when wet. Behind the house, there is no light on the way to the trash bins/wood storage at all. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again.

We stayed as a trio (couple and mother) with a dog in the Freesenhuus in Althorsbüll for 15 days in November/December 2019. The house is very cozy, furnished with an old fireplace, the kitchen equipment is perfect with a lot of beautiful dishes, the beds are comfortable, and there was a separate apartment for mother with a TV and a shower room as well as a small kitchen. Everything was very clean. Those looking for peace and wanting to unwind (we come from the big city) are exactly right here. 5 houses, a farm, the old church - that was it - and pure nature. We were not here for the last time.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

A beautiful and perfectly furnished house. Everything you need is there. Very nice support from the contact person on site.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

We really enjoyed our vacation. One must be mobile to explore the surroundings. Shopping opportunities are available in the area.

Spent 10 beautiful days at Freesenhuus with dog and child. Key handover went well. Thanks to the Petersen family. Nice walking paths along the dike.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

The Freesenhus is so lovingly furnished that you feel at home immediately upon arrival. There is nothing to complain about, unless you are a chronic complainer, then you will find something. The house is in perfect condition from top to bottom, everything super clean! There were enough towels available. The bathrooms are great! A big thank you to the owner for making her cozy house available. A small note at this point for those who come after: upon arrival, we noticed that the dishwasher (a small luxury that is not a given) was missing salt and rinse aid (plenty). For us, no problem; we bought both and refilled them, but if everyone pays a little attention, you can enjoy this luxury for a long time.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

The Freesenhus is a lovingly furnished house where you feel at home right upon arrival. There is absolutely nothing to criticize. Because everything is really there. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The bathrooms are top-notch!! It is simply cozy all around. A thank you to the owner for making the house available. Perhaps a small note at this point for future guests: Be careful when using the dishwasher (a luxury that is rare in a holiday home)! ) whether it needs rinse aid or salt is displayed. So that it lasts a long time.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

Beautifully furnished house. Shopping facilities and bakery nearby. Key handover went well. Two nice bathrooms.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

The high expectations of four adults and two children were exceeded. Even in bad weather, the time can be spent well and relaxing with the detailed equipment available (games, etc.).

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

Highly recommended holiday home with tasteful and cozy furnishings.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

A totally cozy furnished feel-good house. You come in and feel at home. Lots of space and quiet, that's how vacation is fun.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

Only minor issues: Radio didn't work. Drain in the shower on the ground floor smells musty. Everything else absolutely great!

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

Professional care, very good equipment, finally a house with enough dishes, cutlery, etc. A small point of criticism: the towels and bed linen smelled of damp folded laundry...

4,0 4 4 4 4 4

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the kitchen (grease smell) and bathrooms (stronger drain smell) leaves something to be desired.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

For already 5 years, we have been spending our vacations 2-3 times a year in the Freesenhuus in Althorsbüll and are always thrilled. Peace and relaxation are guaranteed here, and not only us, our little dog also feels "poodle well" here. We will come back again in 2018.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

There are vacation homes that change negatively after some time of use. Not so with this vacation home!!! We have now had the pleasure of vacationing in this house for the second time. We noticed that many things that were already great before have now been improved even more. This vacation home is so clean and cozy... we arrive and can immediately throw ourselves comfortably on the couch, lie down in bed, or use the bathroom without any worries. We have not experienced this in any other holiday home. Additionally, the wonderful and super quiet location, right by the dike, makes the sea feel very close. This holiday home is furnished with everything one could think of; nothing is missing. The wonderful garden in front of the house invites you to linger in the evening hours, and the garden behind the house is so wonderfully sheltered that you can stay undisturbed. The garden behind the house was also great for our small dogs - two Jack Russells. Simply escape-proof! ! ! ! ! ! We believe that the location of this holiday home is ideal. You can reach the Danish border in 30 minutes, visit the island of Rømø, and the islands of Amrum, Pellworm, Sylt, Föhr, and also the Halligen are just a stone's throw away. In addition, there is the wonderful expanse of the landscape and hours of hiking or cycling on the dikes right by the sea. There is fresh fish in Dagebüll, the Nolde Museum, and many other attractions. Or a swim in the lake at Seebüll? Dreamlike. Boredom does not arise. The heart and soul of this house is Mrs. de la Motte. Super nice and friendly and a great person. We will come back next year.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

We found a house that leaves nothing to be desired. The holiday home is furnished with a lot of love and charm and offers everything needed for a comfortable stay. A great starting point for many exciting excursions in the region. The reception by Mrs. de la Motte is also warm, you feel welcome immediately. Simply recommendable, we would spend our vacation there again anytime!

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

We were in the holiday home for 14 days in May 2017 and were all absolutely thrilled; our two dogs felt very comfortable! We lacked nothing, and the house manager was really very, very nice and always there for us! Thank you very much to everyone.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

- Very friendly reception by the property management.
- The house exceeds the stated information. The owner really has great taste and everything is thought out down to the smallest detail.
- Top relaxation and a lot of peace (for those who like it) on site. There is really nothing there except many, many sheep :-)
- Many opportunities for excursions (only reachable by car). We will definitely come back next year in May because we really felt very comfortable. From us, there are clearly 5 stars.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

We were at Freesenhuus for the first time in 2015 on recommendation and were immediately taken with it. It is very quiet in the area, the house is spacious, beautifully and cozily furnished, and our two dogs also feel comfortable right away. In October 2016, we were again at Freesenhuus, this time with our son. We have already booked for 2017. We would prefer not to leave at all. Additionally, there are great excursions to do in the area. There are also nice places with delicious food here, e.g. the Klanxbüller Stuben. We also really enjoy taking day trips to Rømø or Henne Strand. Dagebüll and Sylt are also recommended. We always love coming here and are already looking forward to our next vacation at the Freesenhuus, we always feel at home immediately! A huge thank you to Mrs. Hartmann for the wonderful house and many thanks to Mrs. de la Motte for her friendly and lovely manner. See you soon!

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

The only thing we missed in the house was a guestbook to note HOW great this house is. There was really nothing missing, incredibly lovingly and thoughtfully furnished, we felt at home right away. Pure tranquility. Even in advance, the extremely friendly contact with Ms. Hartmann and Ms. De la Motte welcomed us warmly and very helpfully... A tip for dog owners is the free-running area at Leck in the Langenberger Forest, we have never seen anything so idyllic, fenced, right in the woods, simply beautiful. It is really worth it!!! We will definitely come back!!! The trout lake around the corner is also highly recommended!

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

We would like to thank you for this beautiful holiday accommodation. We were able to experience wonderful 14 days with almost consistently beautiful weather. The house is very clean and lovingly furnished. The kitchen has all the equipment and materials one needs. The garden in front of the house is a beautiful cottage garden and very romantic. One can also wonderfully enjoy the evening atmosphere on the bench or in the beach chair in front of the house. Our two little rascals (Jack Russell) also felt very comfortable. Behind the house, there is a wonderfully sheltered garden, completely fenced in and additionally surrounded by a hedge. Escape-proof! This was of course very relaxing for us, and we could let the dogs play in the garden without worry. We will come back - next year is already booked.

A very well-equipped, cozy, and practically divided large holiday home that can be flexibly used thanks to the integrated apartment. The owner, who lives nearby, was easy to contact, flexible, very dog-friendly, and concerned for everyone's well-being. A plus is also the fenced garden. One must be prepared to drive or bike to shop and to the beach. For this, you are very quickly in Denmark and on the islands, and even in November, the wonderful nature is very close. The mediation agency always responded very quickly. This way, we were able to easily book additional guests for a few days.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

A very nice and cozy holiday home with a perfect (!) equipment. We really liked the quiet location, and you can take nice walks with dogs right from the house. Not far to the Nolde Museum, the beautiful Gotteskoogsee, Niebüll, Dagebüll, and much more. It was an overall very nice holiday week, and we would love to come back. A big thank you to the very nice landlord next door.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

A vacation home as one wishes. Arrive and the holiday begins. A beautiful, very clean, and lovingly furnished accommodation. Absolutely quiet location, bicycle paths right outside the door. The landlady is also a wonderfully nice person, and no question is too much for her. We had a wonderful, relaxing, and rejuvenating holiday and will definitely return. Thank you again for that!

Very well maintained house with its own charm. Lovingly furnished, everything you need is there and super clean. The location is absolutely quiet. We felt absolutely comfortable. The landlady is super nice and accommodating.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

Excellent base for exploring the Wadden Sea: the spacious paths correspond to the wide views over the mudflats, deceleration is called for and not performance in watts. Personal encounter with the landlady Mrs. Hartmann, who has an open ear and is approachable for all questions and concerns. Our group of five was very satisfied with their accommodation and would gladly return.

We were guests at Freesenhuus Althorsbüll for the second time from 26.9.21 to 02.10.2021. In the meantime, the roof was newly thatched with reeds and further small positive changes were made. The house was handed over to us very clean, the equipment is of high quality. The kitchen equipment is extensive and leaves nothing to be desired. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend Freesenhuus Althorsbüll. We found it very positive that the homeowner lives right next door. She is extremely helpful and very friendly!

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

For us, it was the perfect vacation. A beautiful house where we felt completely comfortable. Plenty of space and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing and successful vacation. Very quiet and idyllic location, if you are looking for hustle and bustle, this is the wrong place. A heartfelt thank you to the landlady, Mrs. Hartmann, who welcomed us so wonderfully, we are already looking forward to next year.

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

We were there with 3 adults and a furry friend in May. The location of the house is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, which we were. Only wind and sheep could be heard. Occasionally also a few water birds. Just right for us. The house is absolutely charming and equipped with everything you need. The large freezers were great for us as raw feeders. There was plenty of space for everyone. We had the entire ground floor plus the apartment. A great solution. This way you can avoid each other if desired or if someone wants to sleep longer ;o) From the house, you can immediately start walking rounds. An extremely nice and helpful landlady rounded off our holiday wonderfully.

4,8 4.8 4.8 4.8 4.8 4.8

The Freesenhuus Althorsbüll is an extremely well-equipped holiday home. The owner ensures a warm welcome through personal reception. We were two couples with two dogs. The fenced garden area behind the house was particularly advantageous for us. It is a good location for trips to Amrum, Föhr or Sylt as well as to Denmark. The only (small) disadvantage of the location is that you are almost inevitably dependent on a car. However, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, we would highly recommend the Fresenhuus Althorbüll!

5,0 5 5 5 5 5

For the third time, we had the pleasure of spending our summer vacation at the Freesenhuus. The house is located very quietly, perfect for relaxing and recuperating. It is perfectly equipped with everything you need for everyday life. There are many possibilities for excursions. Denmark, Sylt, towards the Baltic Sea.. something for everyone. We feel very comfortable there and are already looking forward to next year.

4,8 4.8 4.8 4.8 4.8 4.8

From the beginning, we felt very comfortable in the house. The furnishings and room layout are very well thought out and lovingly designed. If you want to explore the area, you are dependent on the car, but you can discover a lot of interesting things in a manageable amount of time. We hope to come by again soon!

The Freesenhus is such a lovingly furnished house that you feel right at home when you arrive. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. Because everything is there. So that it will last for a long time.

Three of us (couple and mother) with a dog stayed at Freesenhuus in Althorsbüll for 15 days in November/December 2019. The house is very cosy with an old wood-burning stove, the kitchen equipment is perfect with lots of nice crockery, the beds are comfortable, for mother there was a separate flat with TV and a shower room as well as a small kitchen. Everything was very clean. If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to switch off (we come from the big city), this is exactly the right place. 5 houses, a farm, the old church - that's it - and pure nature. This was not the last time we stayed here.

We (couple and mother plus a dog) stayed at Freesenhuus for 15 days in November/December. The house is cosily furnished with an old wood-burning stove, the kitchen is perfectly equipped with beautiful crockery, the beds are comfortable. There are 2 shower bathrooms and a guest toilet. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you are in good hands here. In the neighbourhood there are only 5 other houses, a farm and a church. Beautiful walks towards the dyke are possible. We have made trips to Tonder and Ribe (Denmark) as well as to Schleswig and Husum. A small minus is the lighting in front of and behind the house. In front of the house, the entrance light is not sufficient to cover even half of the distance to the car park safely in the dark, and the stones are very slippery when wet. Behind the house there is no light at all on the way to the rubbish bins/wood store. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again.

We came in 4 generations, from 5 years old to almost 87 years old. Everyone got their money's worth. Grandma had her own flat and the child could play outside in the beautiful garden or fish nearby. The major excursion destinations can all be reached in less than 1 hour. The train only takes 15 m to Sylt. I especially enjoyed the nature and the good air and of course the great house, which lacks nothing and is very tastefully furnished. Also always important for me.... Good beds. Thumbs up! We were guests at Freesenhuus Althorsbüll for the second time in the period from 26.9.21 to 02.10.2021. In the meantime, the brook was newly thatched and other small positive changes were made. The house was handed over to us very clean, the furnishings are of high quality. The kitchen equipment is rich and leaves nothing to be desired.
We felt very comfortable and can only recommend Freesenhuus Althorsbüll.
We found it very positive that the owner of the house lives right next door. She is extremely helpful and very friendly!

Freesenhuus Althorsbüll is an extremely well-equipped holiday home. The owner provides a warm welcome through personal reception. We were two couples with two dogs. The fenced off garden area behind the house was therefore particularly beneficial. It is a good location for trips to Amrum, Föhr or Sylt as well as Denmark. The only (small) disadvantage of the location is that you are almost inevitably dependent on a car. But the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, we would highly recommend Fresenhuus Althorbüll!
