At Waterpark Terkaple there are three different types of holiday homes, all of which are located on the water's edge.
There is the ground floor 4-pers. water cottage (NL-8542-03). There is a living room with TV and an open kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms, each with two single beds, that may or may not be set up for two people. The bathroom has a shower and toilet.
There is also a 6-person water cottage on the ground floor (NL-8542-04). This holiday home is suitable for a maximum of four adults and two children under the age of 12. There is a living room with TV and an open kitchen with appliances such as a microwave and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms, both with two single beds, that may or may not be set up for two people. The other two beds are located in a small bedroom with a bunk bed, or a 2-pers. bed box. These beds are only suitable for children up to 12 years old. The bathroom has a shower and toilet.
Finally there is the spacious 6-pers. watervilla (NL-8542-05). The villa has two floors. On the ground floor, next to the living room with TV and open kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, there is a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with shower and toilet. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds, whether or not in a double arrangement. In some villas there is a second bathroom with shower, bath and toilet. The villa is situated on the waterfront and has its own jetty.
All holiday homes are situated on the water's edge and have a (unfenced) garden with a terrace and garden furniture in the form of a lounge set. At both water cottages, the terrace is a (covered) veranda. There is parking space for two cars per holiday home. You can fish from your holiday home on Waterpark Terkaple (permit required).

Location and surroundings of object
Waterpark Terkaple is a small holiday park. It is surrounded by green meadows and water in the province of Friesland in the Terkaplester pools. This is a lake that is part of the Sneekermeer area, making it a haven for water sports enthusiasts. It is located near the small village of Terkaple with only 200 inhabitants, 3.5 km. from the larger Terherne.
On the holiday park itself you have access to various facilities for young and old. There is a reception, a marina, bike rental, a table tennis table and a playground. Of course you can also make use of all the options the water has to offer; boating, canoeing, swimming, supping or just floating on an air mattress, it's all possible (bring your own equipment).
In the vicinity there are several options for excursions. The surroundings of Terherne are easy to explore by bicycle. There is a special cycling network app which, based on your personal preferences, can suggest various cycling routes with different drop-off points. For lovers of culture, the Frisian museum in Leeuwarden (28 km) and the Jopie Huisman museum in Workum (41 km) are recommended. For some activity, the Thialf ice stadium in Heerenveen (21km) and Swimfun (a subtropical swimming pool) in Joure (9 km) are worth a visit for young and old. For the children are the Chameleon Village in Terherne, cow-cuddling in Delfstrahuizen (20 km) and Ballorig (indoor playground) in Heerenveen recommended. If you love butterflies, Papiliorama in Havellte (50 km.) is a must. This is one of the largest indoor butterfly gardens in Europe. For city lovers, Sneek (22 km), Drachten (35 km), Meppel (57 km), Groningen (73 km), Assen (77 km) and Zwolle (76 km) are worth a visit.
In short, Holiday Park Waterpark Terkaple is a beautiful destination for water sports and nature lovers. There are facilities for young and old and an excellent starting point to discover this part of the Netherlands.

Great complete house, wonderfully quiet, nice lounge terrace, fully equipped kitchen, even games available, nice neighbors, nice bathing water, ideal boat rental. I missed a washing machine at the park during a 2 week stay. Next time I'll bring my own mattress covers, which shift from the park every night...

Great place. Decor of the house was messy. Very small kitchen with poor equipment, eg pans deformed in such a way that they do not remain on the stove. House is rented out by Roompot which probably says enough.

The house is very nice with the covered terrace and the large living room. The bedroom and the bathroom, on the other hand, are tiny. The heavy duvets are unbearable in summer. Unfortunately, the houses are close together, there is no private life there, especially since the neighbors are sometimes very aggressive.

A very quiet corner there and for a relaxing holiday just right. The cottages are well maintained and make a good impression. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom good, the kitchen very well equipped and the sofa area, although a bit small for 4 people, very good. Everything is very new and above all clean.

Were too early, were not allowed to go to the house (we understand), but there is still no cup of coffee available at the park, were sent elsewhere to have a drink and were allowed to come back at 3 o'clock. First impression was reasonable, but inside the house (with emphasis on house) What a loft !!! Because that's just it !! Shower was downright nasty-dirty, oven / microwave was dirty, stove was dirty, cutlery was all dirty full of stains, immediately been back to reception (was resolved immediately) but it should not be! We already had something like gatver… .. When the rest, well looked at, bedrooms are so small, 140 wide and if you wanted to turn around you bumped your head against the protruding cupboard that hung / stood alongside the bed. male and female) are not of the slimmest was this such a disappointment? When the doche (door) grabbed and bit 40 cm wide to get through, this is not possible !! The 2nd day Saturday evening I just wanted to prepare a meal, well I had to wash all the pans that were there again, say to scrub them out to get them clean, just dirty and caked-up food remains in it, so dirty !!! And then the lounge set outside, horrible, this is not at all ( back problems because you can't sit properly), you can eat like that if not outside, also we had to put down our cup or glass very carefully otherwise it would fall over, no glass plate or something like that, only the rattan. not, also the so-called dining area a, horrible. Wanted to make a cup of soup, no soup cup yet to be seen !! Simply ridiculous for this misery notabene 1000 euros paid for this misery (from Friday to Friday) never again !!! The area was beautiful (outside the park then) You have no privacy at all, house are opposite others where you can just look inside at each other, if you sit in front of the house, then you are staring at each other, so no p
